Practitioner Yang Hong Arrested for Viewing the Minghui Website

(Clearwisdom.net) The police from Lianshan District National Security Division in Huludao City, Liaoning Province arrested Falun Gong Practitioner Yang Hong and her daughter. The arrest happened in her home in Huludao City on November 18, 2005. The charge was "using a computer to visit the Minghui website."

Ms. Yang Hong, 49 years old, lived in the Dongmen District in Huludao City. She was sentenced to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp twice, where she suffered from all kinds of torture. Unable to bear the persecution of their loved one, her husband and 81-year old father died in succession. Her daughter's college expelled her from school for practicing Falun Gong.

Yang Hong was sentenced to three years of forced labor for going to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong in 1999. In October 2001, she left the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp when she was given a reprieve to attend her father's funeral. Since then, in order to avoid harassment from the police, she and her daughter stayed away from their home.

On April 1, 2004, the police from Lianshan District National Security Division arrested Yang Hong and her daughter in the house they had rented. Yang was again sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Two months later she showed severe symptoms of insufficient blood supply to her heart muscle, rapid heart rate, kidney function failure and other ailments. On June 8 she was sent back to the Huludao City Detention Center. On June 9 she was allowed to go home on medical parole because of her poor health. She weighed only a little over 77 lbs. then. Her daughter was released after being held in the detention center for about one month.

In the morning of November 18, 2005, the Lianshan District National Security Division police again broke into Yang's home and arrested her and her daughter on the grounds that Yang Hong and her daughter used a computer to log on to the Minghui website. The police also confiscated their computer that is worth over 5,000 Yuan, as well as their Falun Gong books. Yang Hong's daughter was later released.

At present, Dafa practitioner Yang Hong is still being persecuted in the Huludao City Detention Center. We urgently appeal to the kind people in the world to help rescue the Falun Gong practitioners who are suffering in China.
