The Persecution of Ms. Zhang Qinghua and Ms. Ji Yingping from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Qinghua was born in 1967. On May 19, 2005, at
around 3:00 in the afternoon, police from the Qinjin District Branch of the
Jiamusi City Police Department broke into her home. They ransacked her home,
stealing her computer, printer, Dafa materials, CDs, and Dafa books. Then they
arrested Ms. Zhang and sent her to the Jiamusi Detention Center. Ms. Ji Yingping was born in 1957. On May 19, 2005, at around
7:00 in the evening, she visited Ms. Zhang Qinghua. Unfortunately, she was
captured by police, who had been waiting to ambush her in Ms. Zhang's home since
that afternoon. They confiscated her laptop and Dafa books and materials. She
was also sent to the Jiamusi Detention Center. On June 15, the Jiamusi City Police Department colluded with
the city's middle court and issued formal arrest warrants for Ms. Zhang and Ms.
Ji. While in detention, Ms. Ji Yingping had a relapse of her
former illness and she deteriorated until her condition was critical. On July
27, the police agreed to release her on medical bail. However, on the morning of
November 22, Hong Ai from the Qianjin District Procuratorate, Luan
Haitao, and several other policemen from the Shunhe Police Station broke into
her home and arrested her. She did not even have on her coat and shoes. They
drove her to the district court and threw her to the ground. Shortly before
noon, the Jiamusi City Political and Legal Committee Party Secretary, 610
Office Director Liu Yan, National Security Brigade Captain Chen Wanyou,
and police officers from the Shunhe Police Station all came to the court. The
members of the district court staff questioned the fairness of the sentence
proposed by the police, thinking it was too severe. Then Liu Yan and Chen Wanyou
pressured them to try her at 8:30 in the morning on December 7, 2005. At around
1:00 in the afternoon on November 22, the police attempted to force Ms. Ji
Yingping to sign her agreement to the trail schedule, but she firmly refused.
The police had no alternative but to send her home. Parties involved in the persecution of the above mentioned
