Sweden: Practitioners Call Upon Thai Government Not to Yield to CCP's Pressure

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 19, 2005, representatives of the Swedish Falun Dafa Association handed a letter of protest to the Embassy of Thailand in Stockholm. The officer in the Thai Embassy had already learned about the persecution of Falun Gong two years ago when Swedish Falun Gong practitioner Pirjo Svensson was arrested in Bangkok for handing out Falun Gong truth clarification materials and later unreasonably deported. Today, the officer listened carefully about how Thai police harassed, beat and detained Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand on December 15, how a depraved policeman recently raped two women practitioners in China, and about the story of little Kaixin and her family. He expressed that he would convey the practitioners' requests to the related departments in Thailand. Practitioners have asked the Thai government to immediately release Falun Gong practitioners who are being detained at the immigration detention center, follow the United Nations' Refugee Law and the United Nations' Human Rights Convention to protect Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand from being persecuted by the Chinese Communist regime.

Some Thai said they did not agree with their government's policy towards the Chinese government, which is based on economic benefits. He also expressed that he would read the English version of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and said, "The regime in China won't give democracy to the people!"

During the week, Falun Gong practitioners plan to continue large-scale protests in front of the Thai Embassy in hopes that the Thai government will cease being an accomplice to the malevolent Chinese Communist Party. They are calling for the Thai government lay a good foundation for the country's beautiful future.
