Rape Victim Ms. Han Yuzhi's Whereabouts Unknown

Yuzhi from the Xitong Village, Dongchengfang Town, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province
was illegally arrested at her home. The day after her arrest, she
was raped by police officer He Xuejian at the detention center. She was released
on bail the next day. Her husband, Mr. Liu Jianzeng, went to report the case to
the local police. Many people, including the Zhuozhou City police chief, tried
to intervene and stop the news from spreading. Later on, Liu Jianzeng decided
not to push the issue further with the authorities. Ms. Han decided to leave
home, and her current whereabouts are unknown. Below is a summary of the situation given by a witness who hopes to see
justice done for the crime committed against Ms. Han Yuzhi. On November 25, 2005, a police officer at a detention center in Dongchengfang
Town, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province raped two Falun Dafa practitioners. News of
this quickly spread throughout the local area. For a few days, we saw many
practitioners passing out truth clarifying materials and information
regarding this matter. Some people even received calls from overseas
practitioners. My relative is a friend of Mr. Liu and knows him, as well as the
emotional trauma he suffered in this matter. More detailed information will be
collected, and I hope more people will pay attention to this issue and show
concern for Ms. Han Yuzhi and her husband Mr. Liu Jianzeng. Ms. Han Yuzhi was turned in for practicing Falun Dafa and was illegally
arrested on November 24, 2005, together with five other practitioners from the
Xitong Village. They were taken to the detention center in Dongchengfang Town,
Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province and two of them were raped by a police officer He
Xuejian. Ms. Han Yuzhi was taken to the detention center along with five other people.
Policemen He Xuejian ordered five of them to stand against the wall, while he
ordered Ms. Han Yuzhi to sit on a table. He then grabbed her from behind and
sexually assaulted her. After that, He Xuejian took Ms. Han Yuzhi back to his
dormitory and raped her there. During the process, He Xuejian stripped Ms. Han
Yuzhi naked from the waist down and made her parade in front of him, while
officer Wang Zengjun looked on. On the afternoon of November 25, 2005, after much trouble, Mr. Liu Jianzeng,
Ms. Han Yuzhi's husband, managed to gather up 3,000 yuan from
relatives and friends and bailed Han Yuzhi out of the detention center. That
night, my relative, Liu Jianzeng, and many others had dinner together to help
calm Ms. Han Yuzhi. During the dinner, Ms. Han Yuzhi angrily revealed how she
was raped. Mr. Liu Jianzeng was speechless for more than ten minutes. He could not
believe that such an inhuman act could actually take place in broad daylight. To
make matters worse, it was committed by a police officer! I heard that Mr. Liu
Jianzeng could not sleep that night. The next day, he took a kitchen knife to
the detention center with the intention of killing He Xuejian. He also took his
wife's underwear and the bed sheet he had snatched from the detention center as
evidence to the local police station. Mr. Liu Jianzeng was extremely frustrated, and he did not care whether he
would die in the process, but he knew that he must reclaim justice for his wife.
The local police chief repeatedly asked him not to spread the news. Mr. Liu
Jianzeng made three demands of the police station, and they were all granted.
Even his 3,000 yuan was returned. Mr. Liu Jianzeng then became afraid, since he
feared future reprisals from the authorities once the commotion died down. Mr. Liu Jianzeng was very worried that these people might seek revenge if he

Liu even attended a dinner organized by the local police station and village

justice for my wife, how can I face anyone in the future? Yuzhi's current
whereabouts are unknown. If something happened to her, how can I go on? What

their mother? No amount of money can ever make up for this loss." After news of the rapes spread locally, the detention center lied, saying
that policeman He Xuejian was not yet 18 years old. The police must know that He
Xuejian had been working there for four years and is older than eighteen. Now
the detention center is saying that he is not a police officer but an informal
