Mr. Liu Ruping, A Lawyer from Jinan Province, Arrested Again

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Ruping, a lawyer from Jinan Province, was again arrested. On December 7, 2005, lawless officials from Jinan City along with police officers ordered the "Shuntian Attorney's Office" to use the excuse of work to lure Mr. Liu Ruping to his workplace, then arrested him. Mr. Liu Ruping's whereabouts are currently unclear.

He was held in the Changqing District Detention Center on the evening of October 18, 2005. On October 25, Mr. Liu was taken to the Jinan City Brainwashing Center by the Changqing District Police. On November 14, Mr. Liu Ruping's father passed away from anxiety, grief and indignation. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Residential District Office bailed him out to take care of the funeral. After the funeral, Mr. Liu Ruping did not return to the Jinan City Brainwashing Center as originally scheduled within one week. He was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested again.

On November 22, 2005, Mr. Liu Ruping openly published on the website the article "Immediately Stop Forced 'Transformation' of Falun Dafa Practitioners," using his identity as a lawyer from Jinan Province.

Mr. Liu Ruping was born on November 1, 1961. He used to work in the Changqing District Planning Committee of Jinan City and taught courses in Law, Economy and Management at the "Changqing Party's School". In October 1993, Mr. Liu took the National Attorney Qualification Exam and was awarded the lawyer's qualification. Since July 1994, Mr. Liu worked as a part-time attorney in the Changqing County Attorney's Consultant Office (later the name was changed to the Gongyuan Attorney's Office, and also the Lingyan Attorney's Office). After 2001, Mr. Liu worked in the Tianqi Attorney's Office in Shangdong Province. In 2003, Mr. Liu worked as a full-time attorney at the Shuntian Attorney's Office.
