Practitioner Ms. Liu Ying from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province Is Tortured to Death

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Ying was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Because she persisted in her belief, she was repeatedly detained and persecuted. In October 2005, she died as a result of the persecution.

Ms. Liu Ying, 36, was laid off from the Sichuan Province Electric Machinery Factory. At the beginning of 2001, she went to Beijing to appeal and was detained. After that, she was illegally monitored. In December 2002, she was arrested by the Qinglong Police Station in Chenghua District, Chengdu City and detained at the Chengdu City Detention Center for 45 days. After she gained freedom from the detention center using her righteous thoughts, she was often followed and harassed by the local authorities and thugs hired by the police. Later, she was forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being arrested at home.

On June 28, 2005, officials from the Qinglong Neighborhood Committee and police from the Qinglong Police Station arrested Ms. Liu Ying at the entrance to the Qinglong Residential Area. Ms. Liu was detained on the fourth floor of the Qingyang District People's Hospital in Chengdu City. She was injected with unknown drugs, which caused her to vomit continuously and lose consciousness. She was released in mid-July 2005, when she was in critical condition.. Upon returning home, she was very weak and could not even walk, yet the authorities still kept a close watch on her. At the beginning of August 2005, she was forced to become homeless again. When she clarified the truth in October, she was arrested again and sent to the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. Ms. Liu went on a hunger strike in protest, and eventually passed away as a result of the persecution she endured.
