Western Practitioner: How My Life Improved When I Found Falun Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) I went from eight years of living on the streets selling handmade jewelry for food to having a stable home and job along with a wonderful wife and son, thanks to the teachings of Falun Dafa.

For many years I studied many different alternative healing methods. Through all of my study I had a lot of difficulty piecing together the true nature of the reasons why we became ill and had hardship. I often felt cheated because I always tried to be a good person and yet bad things continually kept happening. Through my pursuits I had obtained some supernormal abilities that confused me and made it harder to sort out the real from the imagined. And I became a weekend alcoholic, continually becoming more jaded and cynical.

One day while I was still trying to make sense out of everything I had encountered in life, a friend brought over a video lecture of Master Li teaching the Fa. After we finished watching the lecture I put down everything , because all the answers I was looking for were right there before my eyes in Master Li Hongzhi's lectures and in his comprehensive book, Zhuan Falun. After watching the second lecture I quit smoking and drinking that same day and threw away all of the different messed up practice books that I had.

Master Li explained so simply the answers for which I had been searching for many years. He explained the importance of being a good person and the fundamental virtues of Truth, Compassion, Tolerance. Many of my small minor ailment disappeared and I have never been healthier, happier or more fulfilled with my life.

Since then I have spread Dafa to everyone I know and even my brother started to practice. I have also had the opportunity to become more involved in community activities and even got to use my skills to help build a float for a large parade in my city.

Thanks to Falun Dafa I have achieved not only a more wonderful and fulfilling understanding of the truth of the nature of the universe, but I also understand the importance of virtue and I can be a good person in any situation under any circumstance.

Now I work as hard as I can to tell everyone in the world that Falun Dafa is good and not to listen to or believe the Chinese Communist Party's lies and propaganda that promote the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
