(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday December 17, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioners went to the Square of Rimavska Sobota, a small town in southern Slovakia, and held an activity to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the Chinese Communist Party's violation of basic human rights.

The activity caught the attention of local media. A cameraman from a local TV station took footage of practitioners re-enacting the tortures that Falun Gong practitioners experienced in China's jails and forced labor camps. The torture reenactment highlighted a strong contrast with the peaceful Falun Gong exercise demonstration taking place beside it. The reporter from a local newspaper took some materials and promised to report the activity.
The residents of Rimavska Sobota were shocked to learn of the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong. With sympathy and support for Falun Gong practitioners, many people signed their names on the petition form to express their protest against the persecution.
