When Rapists Wear Police Uniforms

(Clearwisdom.net) In the United States, many states have laws requiring that a sex offender be registered after release from prison, and that the local government notify neighbors in the community where the offender will live. The reason is simple: the public has the right and the need to know if there will be any danger posed to the local community. Nobody would consider such information an annoyance. If a convict escapes from a prison and even wears a guard uniform he robbed from the prison, such news would shock the entire community and even become national headlines. Anyone who thinks that the escapee should be left at large, or that a few people's wellbeing should be compromised to "maintain the stability and harmony" of society would be considered absurd and senseless.

Surprisingly, if such an incident occurred in China, or when even worse crimes happen, some Chinese people would call the information about the crimes an annoyance. When rapists wear law enforcement uniforms and are exempt from the rule of law, some people call it "maintaining social harmony and unity," while some others act apathetically because they "don't want to get involved in politics."

This is not Arabian Nights, it is not a fabricated story--it is the actual attitude of some Chinese individuals towards the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.

At around 2:00 p.m., November 25, 2005, policeman He Xuejian from Dongchengfang Town Police Station in Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, with the excuse of "conducting official duties," forced 51-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Liu Jizhi to a room and viciously beat her upon entering. He pressed her against a bed and began groping her breasts. Then he lifted up her shirt and shocked her breasts with a stun baton. While watching the sparks from the stun baton, He Xuejian repeatedly said, "This is fun! This is fun!" Despite Ms. Liu's protests and struggle, He Xuejian tore off the lady's blouse and sat on her stomach. Then he began to poke at her genitals with his fingers. During the struggle, Ms. Liu pleaded, "You are a policeman! You must not commit such a crime! This is totally wrong! You are a young man! I am an old woman. Please spare me." He Xuejian ignored her plea and took out his penis and penetrated her. During the rape, He Xuejian slapped her face repeatedly and choked her. Ms. Liu was left with bruises all over her body. Another policeman was in the same room and watched the entire process.

The reason He Xuejian dared to act so blatantly was because he was implementing CCP policy, and as a result, the CCP law enforcement agencies will leave him alone. The propaganda machine, the mouthpiece of the CCP, is instructed to maintain a glorious image, and will not remind the public that such an evil person threatens public safety, or that he wears a police uniform and is still on duty.

In fact, this is not unlike how the CCP tried to hide the truth about the 100-ton benzene spill in the Songhua River near Harbin last month.

Since the former leader of the CCP initiated the brutal persecution of Falun Gong six years ago, under the shadow of the belief that a person's conscience must be compromised to align with the CCP's direction, many people, including He Xuejian, were transformed from man to beast. Yet these criminals are in police uniforms, obeying no restrictions, threatening the safety of the innocent.

If the police who raped Falun Gong practitioners Liu Jizhi, Han Yuzhi, and Wei Xingyan remain at large and are not brought to justice, who can promise that they will not commit such appalling crimes to other innocent women?

If the police who beat to death Falun Gong practitioners such as retired worker Chen Zixiu, middle-school teacher Fei Wendong, and 74-year-old Chen Xiuchong are never held accountable for their crimes, who can guarantee that others under the jurisdiction of these beasts in uniform will not be the next victims?

Some people feel that the persecution of Falun Gong has nothing to do with them. Some feel that although the persecution deprives Falun Gong practitioners of their basic rights, the result is "social stability." Some others consider Falun Gong practitioners' effort to clarify the truth to be an annoyance. It's time for them to think carefully about where they stand. They themselves might be the next victims.
