How Mr. Yang Shengxin Was Arrested By the Huaihua City 610 Office

(Clearwisdom.net) The Hecheng District party committee government office of Huaihua City, Hunan Province, is located on Xing Street in Huaihua City, Hunan Province. The Huaihua City Hecheng District Statistics Bureau is on the fifth floor of the District Committee Office Building. On February 21, 2005, the staff witnessed Security Bureau and 610 Office agents violently arresting a Falun Gong practitioner.

Mr. Yang Shengxin, a 42-year-old cadre of the Huaihua City Hecheng District Statistics Bureau, started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. Before practicing Falun Gong, his health was very poor. He suffered from an ulcer, prostatitis and other sicknesses. After practicing Falun Gong, he attained good health and was always energetic. His conscientious work earned a very good review from his director and colleagues. Due to his steadfast practice of his belief in "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance" and clarifying the truth, he was illegally arrested and detained many times. In 2001 he was illegally sent to forced labor for one year.

Around 3 p.m. on February 21, Mr. Yang and his colleague were at a training session on how to operate software for the National Economic General Survey in the office computer room. Shu Yong from the National Security Unit, Zeng Xiaoqi from the 610 Office, Yang Kunming from Wenhuashan Police Station, and another policeman suddenly intruded and said, "Yang Shengxin, we are looking for you!" Mr. Yang answered, "What is it about?" Shu Yong said, "We would like to ask you a few questions to understand a certain situation." Mr. Yang adjusted himself a little and answered, "If there is anything, let's talk in my office." He then walked toward the door of the computer room. His office was just across the corridor from the computer room. Without saying a word they grabbed Mr. Yang's arms and pulled him out of the computer room into the corridor. Mr. Yang cried out loudly while struggling, "What are you doing?" One of the ruffians said, "Cuff him!" They dragged Mr. Yang through the office with the intention of arresting him. He cried out loudly, "Falun Dafa is good! The 610 Office is here to arrest people. The Security Bureau has come here to seize people." His voice aroused the whole floor, and his colleagues put down their work and gathered to see what was happening.

The ruffians saw that they were not successful in handcuffing Mr. Yang but had, instead, attracted a lot of onlookers. They took off Mr. Yang's shoes and let both of his legs hang in the air. Then they pulled his legs and pushed his arms behind his back and pushed him onto the floor, stepping on his head heavily. Seeing Mr. Yang's struggles and pleas for help, a bystander said to the police, "This is a society ruled by law. Why do you people not follow the law and just seize people at will!" One of them answered, "What are you saying? This is nothing that concerns you." Then he started an argument with the bystander. During the arrest, Mr. Yang Shengxin was finally handcuffed and dragged from the fifth floor to the first floor. His loud screaming for help alarmed the police. They tried to cover his mouth a few times but failed. They dropped the idea of covering his mouth after seeing so many people watching. They pushed Mr. Yang into a sport sedan that was parked in front of the building.

At this time, one of the policemen from the Wenhaushan Police Station angrily told Mr. Yang, "If you scream, we will kill you!" At the same time, he choked Mr. Yang's neck with both of his hands and nearly strangled him. The violence damaged Mr. Yang's throat, which took nearly two months to recover. The sport sedan arrived at the Wenhuashan Police Station, which is a sub-branch of Hecheng Security Bureau in Huaihua City. The Wenhuashan Police Station is inside this office complex, which is just 50 meters away from the district communist committee office building. They did not use a police car but only used a small car to deliver the arrested Falun Gong practitioner.

At the Wenhuashan Police Station, Mr. Yang's hands were cuffed behind his back so tightly that the cuffs cut into his wrists. He was not allowed to go to the restroom. They only released his handcuffs when the City National Security Bureau and 610 Office people came to question him in the evening. From being handcuffed so tightly for such a long time, his fingers stayed numb for more than two months. When facing questioning from the National Security Bureau, 610 Office and police, Mr. Yang did not answer a word. They tried to gather some clues by pretending to be compassionate and only talking about daily matters. When Mr. Yang asked them why they had arrested him, they glared at him, "You understand clearly yourself. Just tell us what you have done." Even now Mr. Yang Shengxin does not know why they arrested him, because he has not done anything against the law. The people questioning Mr. Yang changed many times. They took turns to rest. He was handcuffed overnight.

The next morning, Mr. Yang Shengxin was moved to the Huaihua Number 2 Detention Center.

It is not acceptable to heavenly law to persecute kind people. Those who persecute Dafa practitioners will eventually receive their just due.
