Witnessing the Mighty Power and Compassion of Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) I started to practice Falun Gong eight years ago. With a firm belief in Teacher and Dafa I went through those difficult and unusual days of persecution to arrive where we are now. Dafa has demonstrated miracles and mighty power to me many times during this process. I would like to write about them to share with my fellow practitioners.

The first incident happened before July 20, 1999, the day the persecution against Falun Gong started. Several dozen Dafa practitioners went to a rural village to spread Dafa. Upon arriving, the practitioners lined up and started to do the Dafa exercises while I waited with a copy of Zhuan Falun in my hand to see if anyone would come to learn Dafa from us. It was then that a middle age man came over to me from his market stall. He said to me, "I want to buy the book in your hand, but I do not have money." I said, "I would be happy to give you this book for free." He accepted the book and left joyously.

After I came back, a practitioner who had been standing near our exhibition board said to me, "After you left, the man who accepted your book came back again and said to me 'Do you know why I accepted the book from that woman? My third eye has been open ever since my childhood. I saw a Buddha appear in the sky when you were doing the exercises. He opened one of his hands and a ray of golden light radiated out and covered your exercise field like a shield. The Buddha said to me, 'I have a heavenly book for you. It is now in the hand of that woman.' That was why I wanted to buy the book even though I had no money." I became even more diligent in my cultivation after I heard this story.

The second incident happened after the persecution started. My mother started to practice Falun Dafa a long time ago, but she did not cultivate diligently. Because she had a stroke, she suffered for many years and could not move freely. In March of this year she fell ill again, and she asked a doctor to come to our home to treat her as before. The doctor was a lady in her 40's. I talked with her about the truth of Dafa during the treatment. She said that she had heard these things from other Falun Gong practitioners before. On the third day, the doctor came again for the treatment. Upon entering our room, she stopped and stared for a little while, but she did not say anything. After the treatment I again talked with her about the truth behind the persecution of Falun Dafa. She said to me, "When I came in, I saw that your house was full of golden lights. Meanwhile, I also saw many things rotating, but I had no idea what they were." Then I showed her the Law Wheel design. She said, "Yes, that is it! It kept rotating, and a man was at the side!" Then I opened a Dafa book to show her the picture of Teacher when he was young. She said pleasantly, "Yes, it was this man who spoke to me." The doctor had never seen Teacher before. Knowing that she had a profound predestined relationship with Dafa, I asked her to practice Dafa. She said to me, "When you asked me to practice Dafa, the Master told me not to let go of this precious chance." I was deeply moved by this matter. Why should we fail to do well, since Teacher tries to save every person? My mother was also astonished by this matter. She started to study the Fa carefully from then on, and as a result, her health also started to improve.

The third incident happened only several days ago. There was a practitioner I will call Ms. A. It was not long after she started practicing Falun Dafa that the persecution started. Because of the attachment of fear, she gave up her cultivation. Several days ago, spirits from other dimensions seemed to suddenly possess her 15-year-old daughter. She resorted to numerous treatments but they failed to cure her daughter. She even asked for help from witch doctors and sorcerers, but her daughter's condition just became worse and worse.

It was at this moment that she met fellow practitioner Mr. B. Mr. B talked with her about the seriousness and the supernatural essence of cultivation, upon which she decided to restart cultivation. She purchased a full set of the video CDs of Teacher's 9-day Lecture in Guangzhou, China and watched them along with her daughter. When they came to the section about spirit possession in the third talk, her daughter suddenly started to suffer from a persistent headache, so acute that she rolled about all over the bed. In the meantime, the spirit in other dimensions took control of her body and spoke through her mouth. Ms. A was very terrified by the scene without knowing what to do. She called the fellow practitioner Mr. B and me. When we arrived at her home, we saw that the girl was under her own control for a while and then under the control of the spirit for a while. Then Mr. B and I started to send forth righteous thoughts, upon which the girl immediately hid herself in another room and locked the door to prevent us from entering. I exchanged ideas with Mr. B and told the girl that she was not acting out of her own will and that it was the spirit in the other dimension that feared our righteous thoughts. Then Ms. A opened the door with a key and we went in the room and continued to send forth righteous thoughts. The girl kept shouting that her head was aching greatly, but we knew that it was a manifestation of the fact that the spirit was in its death throes.

While sending forth righteous thoughts, it suddenly came to me that Teacher had taught the Fa that in some cases we should not use extreme measures in an attempt to solve problems. In accordance with my personal understanding of this Fa, I spoke to the spirit controlling the child, "Maybe this child has some personal scores with you from her last incarnation, but now that she is about to learn Falun Dafa, you should no longer interfere with her. Maybe she owes you much, but you must leave her immediately. Maybe we do not have the ability, but our Teacher has the ability to solve your situation beneficially. If you continue disturbing her you are trying to stop her from cultivating and that means that you are breaking the heavenly law. In that case you will be eliminated by Dafa." After saying this, I urged the girl to support herself to sit, and I read to her the section about spirit possession in Zhuan Falun. When I came to the second paragraph, the girl came back to normal immediately.

At the time the father and some of the girl's other relatives who were present, were shocked by the miraculous power of Dafa. Ms. A said, "It is really miraculous, so miraculous that people will not believe you if you tell them about this. It sounds like a fairy tale."

From then on her family members changed their view of Dafa. We thought that this was the end of the matter, but that was not the case.

The next day, Ms. A called me again, "You need to come here again. The spirit came back." When I hurried to her home, I saw the girl was still under the control of the spirit. The spirit said to her, "I would have taken your life yesterday had it not been for the coming of your aunt and uncle. I shall never allow you to study Dafa." I saw it was clear that the spirit would prevent the child from studying Dafa. Then I exchanged ideas with Ms. A and decided to eliminate the spirit using the divine power bestowed by Dafa. Then we asked Teacher to strengthen our divine power and asked the girl to send forth righteous thoughts together with us. After a long time, the girl became completely clearheaded. Again and again, she expressed her gratitude to me for having saved her life. I said to the girl, "We both are Teacher's students. It was Teacher who saved your life and you should thank Teacher." It is true. What can we do without Teacher and Dafa?

I enlightened to some new meanings of the Fa through this matter. We should believe in Dafa and Teacher at all times. In the process of the consolidation of our belief in Dafa, some superficial phenomenon will happen to test the extent to which we believe in Dafa. For instance, from a superficial point of view, the child seemed to be suffering more and was further controlled by the spirit. It seemed that there was no effect from our efforts, but that was simply a test of our minds and our belief in Teacher. We had had some experiences sending forth righteous thoughts like that before, but sometimes the effects we received were not very good. The reason might be that we were somehow unsure of our ability and always wanted to seek help from fellow practitioners who had cultivated well superficially. We had the mind of relying on fellow practitioners, rather than firmly believing in Dafa and Teacher. Teacher wants to bestow on every one of us the mighty power of the heaven and earth, but how can we attain this goal if we cannot make our own judgment. The other thing is that we may become doubtful when we fail to receive good effects superficially and, as a result, we may give up too early and spoil everything that we were supposed to achieve.

In fact, Teacher spoke about this in the Fa a long time ago,

"Actually, every Dafa disciple has abilities. It's just that the abilities do not manifest in the surface dimension, so they think that they don't have supernormal abilities. But regardless of whether they can manifest in the surface dimension or not, when a person's True Thoughts come forth they are very powerful." Above are several of my own experiences. In fact, other Dafa practitioners have also had many miraculous experiences such as these. I now write about them to share with fellow practitioners because I think it may be of help to some. Please kindly point out anything inappropriate.
