school with principal, assistant principal, and regular terms. Each term lasts
for about 20 days. The classes cease in winter, from January to March or April.
Usually more than a dozen practitioners are arrested at a time and sent to the
center to fulfill the attendance quota. Recently it has been difficult to arrest
so many people, so they just arrest as many as they can and start the classes.
During the brainwashing process, audio and video materials slandering Falun Dafa
are played, and lectures to attack and defame Falun Dafa are given by staff
members from different units, institutions, and schools in Fushun City. When the
authorities fail to achieve their goal of "reforming" practitioners,
they began to intimidate and threaten them with forced labor or prison terms.
After that, they deprive practitioners of their sleep and abuse them verbally or
physically. Among those who have been persecuted are Mr. Gao Dong from the
Liaohe Oil Field, military officer Mr. Jin Fujun from Hulu Island, and Ms. Liu
Xia.

Huashaoying Town Bribes the Forced Labor Camp to Admit Good People
On November 30, 2004, Party Secretary Zhang Xingwen of Huashaoying
Town, Zhangjiakou City, Heibei Province, and Liu Xingfu of the police station
went to the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Gailin and threatened him.
Mr. Li was arrested and held in the detention center that same night and sent to
Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp after three days. On the way to the forced labor camp,
Li Gailin jumped out of the vehicle to escape. He fell into the river and
developed symptoms of illness. Even so, he was still sent to the labor camp.
After the physical examination, the labor camp refused to admit him. Zhang
Xingwen went to the camp in person and brought gifts and money to the camp. As a
result, Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp agreed to admit Mr. Li Gailin. Mr. Li was then
persecuted for a whole year. He was released on November 2, 2005
