Falun Dafa Practitioners in Many Countries Receive Harassment Calls

(Clearwisodm.net) On February 6, 2005, several Falun Dafa practitioners in Germany received automated, pre-recorded calls in Chinese or English defaming Falun Dafa as a suicide group, referring to the staged self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square, even though it has been shown that this incident was staged by the Chinese government. Four Western and Chinese practitioners, who live in different cities in Germany, confirmed that they received such calls.

In January 2001, the Chinese government staged the shocking Tiananmen self-immolation incident. Soon thereafter, experts from outside China and Falun Dafa practitioners discovered from slow motion analysis of the video broadcast by CCTV that this incident was staged. Chinese VCDs revealing the truth about this incident were distributed widely in China. In Germany, both Chinese and German residents discovered that Jiang Zemin and his regime murdered people to slander Falun Gong through watching the VCD or German version videotapes. Many German politicians and media outlets have also received these materials.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Florian in Hamburg told a Minghui reporter that he received four English and Chinese recordings on his phone between 11 a.m. and noon on February 6. He hung up the phone when he understood the content of the English messages. He thinks that the Tiananmen self-immolation incident was a staged performance to deceive people. It did fool many people at the beginning, but because Falun Dafa practitioners have actively clarified the truth, people will not be so easily fooled in the future. He believes that these recorded phone messages are an indication that the Chinese government is "playing its last card." He plans to notify the German police and collect any more phone calls as further evidence of harassment.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang from Southern Germany also received four message calls on his cell phone between noon and 2 p.m. on the same day. There was no caller ID. He could tell that the English voice on the recording had a Chinese accent. Mr. Zhang pointed out that these acts are ridiculous and irrational, and that these calls show that the truth has become clearer to the world today. These calls are harassment calls, in an attempt to spread hatred on German soil. This is similar in nature to the slander case that was played out through the Canadian Chinese media, in which Vice Chinese Counsel Pan Xinchun in Toronto was found guilty of defamation. Mr. Zhang plans to notify the German police.

It was reported that on February 6-7, many Falun Dafa practitioners in the United States, Canada, and at least ten other European countries received such harassment calls. Practitioners in Finland received more than 200 calls over the course of several hours. Practitioners are collecting evidence and will be prepared to contact federal or local legal agencies to investigate the source behind these incidents.

One Falun Dafa practitioner in German expressed, "This recorded call incident is another example of how the CCP is clumsily hurting its own image. History is just, and all who are involved in persecution Falun Gong will be held responsible."
