I am 42 years old. Before learning Falun Dafa I suffered from severe arthritis. My situation did not improve even though I tried all sorts of Chinese and Western medicines. One of my relatives also suffered from the same type of arthritis. She told me that she had been treated in several large hospitals in Shanghai, Beijing and other big cities. It cost her over twenty thousand yuan, but her condition did not improve at all. She told me that, since I was from the countryside I could not afford the medical expenses and, even if I could, it would be useless.

So I struggled amid the discomfort and pain every day. I could not even walk to the restroom without holding on to my husband or son. When they were not at home, I could hardly take care of myself. My hands hurt so much that I had to move little by little just to get off the bed. I was not able to squat down in the restroom. (In some areas in China, the toilet is built into the ground and one squats across it.) I often burst into tears because of pain. With all this suffering, I felt time passing by very slowly, and every day seemed like a year. Just as I had lost hope in my life, I encountered Falun Dafa.

I heard that many new Falun Gong students in our village had regained their health miraculously. Considering the enormous suffering I had been through, I thought that, with help from Falun Dafa practitioners, perhaps I could give it a try.

I started practicing Falun Dafa at the beginning of August 2004. In the very first few days I started to feel that I was getting better. To do the exercises, the other practitioners had to hold me. In the lotus position with my legs crossed, I was able to sit through the entire session despite the pain. After each session of the exercises, both of my hands felt like they were being gently washed in water. As I had plenty of time, I studied the Fa day and night. I recited the Fa before going to sleep. As time went by, my health improved. I have fully regained my health in less than six months. The pain and misery has vanished forever, and joy has returned to my family and relatives.

When I appeared so full of energy, my fellow villagers were able to witness the wonders of Falun Dafa. My recovery not only amazed them but also enabled them to recognize the lies spread by the state-run media. Many have since obtained the Fa. More and more new students have experienced miraculous recoveries, which in turn have attracted even more students.

Having gained a new life, I want to express my gratitude to our great Teacher whose compassion is boundless. I will continue practicing Falun Dafa for the rest of my life.
