Hello, Benevolent Great Master,

We are practitioners jailed in Suining Detention Center. Since we didn't pay enough attention to studying the Fa well and improving ourselves in cultivation practice, the old forces took advantage of our loopholes. Before the New Year, many truth clarification materials production sites in Suining were destroyed, which caused severe damage to the Dafa work in this area, and also trapped us in the evil's cave. When jailed, we all looked inward for our attachments and human heart, and we are all trying to improve ourselves solidly in this difficult environment.

We want to warn and awaken the fellow practitioners in local materials production sites with our own profound lesson: Do not bring an everyday person's sentimentality to the materials production sites at all. Cultivation is not getting together for fun, and materials production sites are not places for parties or banquets (before, we brought good food to the materials production sites, which made the sites busy and messy). We cannot disorganize the pathway of delivering materials and we should hold to the rules of one-to-one contact. We should keep the sites secret, and we should not share important details about the site with those practitioners who don't necessarily have to know the situation about the sites. We should not bring practitioners to materials production sites randomly.

Nowadays, some materials production sites are like grocery stores, where everybody can take materials from it. When this situation is pointed out, the practitioner who is in charge would not accept it, and blamed others for having fear and doubts. Some contact persons feel short of manpower, so they lower the requirement of worker selection. For example, a practitioner, who doesn't study the Fa for long time, and has negative thoughts towards Minghui Weekly, also got a chance to work in the material site. (This practitioner has been abducted by the authorities, and the material site was also destroyed). There is another phenomenon: A practitioner gave a copy of Master's new article to a new practitioner, but this new practitioner thought it was truth clarification material, and gave it to the local perpetrators of the persecution in person. There are still some materials production sites busily doing things in chaos. Please stop and organize ourselves. Please remember Master's teaching "Rest momentarily for self-reflection, add righteous thoughts. Analyze shortcomings explicitly, advance again whole-heartedly" ("Be Rational, Awaken" Hongyin II). We should make our truth clarification materials calmly and in an orderly way.

Here, we promise Master: No matter what environment or difficulty we are in, we will have solid righteous thoughts and righteous actions. We will make ourselves worthy of the title of "Dafa Disciple." We won't let down Master's benevolence and salvation. Master, please rest assured!

(Clearwisdom.Net) Ms. Liu Tongling, Falun Dafa practitioner from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, was sent to Heilongjiang Women's Forced Labor Camp (the former Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center) for practicing Falun Gong in October 2003. In the forced labor camp she suffered various brutal tortures. In November 2003, wearing no trousers or socks, she was tortured to death on the metal chair in the basement.

Liu Tongling, 52 years old, was a worker at the Second Oil Recovery of Daqing City. She was sent to Heilongjiang Women's Forced Labor Camp for practicing Falun Gong in October 2003. For more than 30 days of detention in the camp, Liu Tongling was brutally beaten, shocked and force-fed by the evil staff.

In November, wearing no trousers or socks, Liu Tongling was tortured to death on the metal chair in the basement. Later the team leader Li Quanming ordered the inmate Liu Yali (a prostitute in Daqing City) to take off her socks and put them on Liu Tongling. Then the guard Liu Zhujie ordered Liu Yan (a drug addict from Harbin City) and Wang Rongmei (a criminal from Quegang City) to put some clothes on Liu Tongling. Guard Liu Zhujie plotted these things.

Liu Tongling was persecuted to death. Heilongjiang Women's Forced Labor Camp tried to forcibly "transform" her by brutal beating and freezing her unclothed body (in November and in the basement). This was the direct cause of Liu Tongling's death. Those evil staff cannot escape the responsibilities for their crimes.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qiu Aihua was a resident of Wujiatan Village, Houjia Town, Wendeng City, Shandong Province. After she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000, she was tortured so badly that she became disfigured. Because she went to appeal in Beijing, the persecutors fired both her husband and her from their jobs. Therefore, her husband was furious with her. As a result of the persecution, Qiu Aihua suffered immense physical and mental distress and passed away on June 26, 2004.

Ms. Qiu Aihua was 44 years old. She began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. She firmly believed in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." On July 2, 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. The persecutors arrested her and took her back to Wendeng City. She was detained in Songcun Police Station, where she was tortured. The Chief of the police station Xu Qiang and Deputy Chief Xing Shuwu began beating her in the police van before they reached the police station. After reaching the police station, the two of them viciously pulled out half of Qiu's hair. They pulled her hair and knocked her head against the wall, beat her, pushed her to the floor and stomped on her body with great force. Ms. Qiu Aihua was disfigured by the brutal torture.

Soon after, the persecutors fired Qiu ad her husband from their jobs. Deceived by the lies of Jiang's Regime, Qiu's husband was furious with Qiu. He often beat and berated her after losing his job. He also forced Qiu to do hard physically labor. Because of the physical and mental torture Qiu suffered at the hands of the police during her detention and the abuse of her husband, Qiu died on June 26, 2004.

The persons responsible for Qiu Aihua's death are Chief of Songcun Police Station Xu Qiang and Deputy Chief Xing Shuwu. Wang Qiang, mayor and vice party secretary of Wendeng City, said viciously during a meeting of government officials on October 9, 2004: "We would rather make 3,000 wrong arrests than miss one (Falun Gong practitioner). If we catch more practitioners going to Beijing to appeal, we will use knives to cut their foot tendons! (This way, they can no longer walk, and we do not have to worry about them going to appeal in Beijing .)"

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Changde from Changchun City was not able to take care of himself after extensive torture and abuse at the Jilin No. 2 Prison. His weight dropped from 200 pounds to around 140 pounds. His family had asked the prison officials to release him on a medical parole. Zhang Yong, a prison officer, said, "There are only two ways to obtain a medical parole. One is that you have a lot of money. We can do it even if there is no illness. The other is that the prisoner has only a few days to live. These are the prerequisites for a medical parole."

Mr. Sun Changde has been held in Ward No. 9 at the Jilin Prison for four years. He developed pneumonia in 2003 as a result of abuse. His eyesight was failing, and he also suffered from anemia and protrusion of the lumbar vertebrae. He could not walk unless others supported him, and once he passed out in the restroom.

On December 16, 2004, prison officers called Mr. Sun's home asking for money for his medical examination. The next day Mr. Sun's family members came to the prison. They did not see him until 3:00 p.m. They told him that they could not come up with enough money for his medical exam. All they had was 200 yuan, and later they borrowed 200 more from a friend.

Mr. Sun's family went to the prison and handed the 400 yuan to a female officer, telling her that the money was to be used for Mr. Sun's medical examination only and not for anything else. On January 8 they asked a friend to send in another 400 yuan, which was submitted to Zhang Yong. That night, the family called Mr. Sun in the ward and learned that he was never given any medical examination.

On January 10, Mr. Sun's family went to the prison meeting room again. Prison officer Zhang Yong asked them to whom they had turned in the initial 400 yuan. They told him and learned that their initial 400 yuan had not been deposited. A section director asked them to point out the officer who took the money. They immediately recognized the female officer, but she denied having accepted any money. It was quite apparent that she had pocketed the money.

The Jilin Prison is notorious for its inhumane treatment of Falun Dafa practitioners. In broad daylight and before witnesses, this officer dared to lie about keeping the life-saving payment from Mr. Sun's family.

The next day, the police instigated five or six inmates to push me to the floor and cut off all my hair. To protest the kidnapping, persecution and imprisonment, I went on a hunger strike. Because I refused to read the prison rules and kept practicing Falun Gong, the policeman handcuffed my feet for a week as punishment. On the fourth day of my hunger strike, policeman Liu ordered inmates to force-feed me. They pushed me onto the floor, stood on my feet, and twisted my hands so that I would be in too much pain to resist. One person pushed my head, while another pinched my nose to suffocate me. One inmate named Liu Min is very evil. He pulled my lips so hard that they split. Another inmate used a brush (used to clean bathrooms) to pry open my mouth and then used a bottle to force food into my mouth. Because of my resistance, the food would not stay in. They tortured me like this for about a half an hour. My nose was bent, my face was beaten up, and my mouth was bleeding.

Because they were unable to force much food in, it was difficult for the inmate chief to make a report to the police. He forced other inmates to drag me to a pond where they splashed water in my face while they restrained me by my chest, waist and feet. They said that they wanted me to "have enough to drink." After I struggled out of the water, with the last of my remaining strength, several inmates kicked me to the ground and stepped on me, saying that they wanted to torture me efficiently. These people are heartless. They also smacked my face when I shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" I was full of righteous energy, though, and kept shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" Finally they realized that they could not force me to surrender, and they stopped.

The doctor from the prison hospital administered the second force-feeding by sticking a tube into my stomach. Afterwards, I was very agitated, could not sleep, and had a chemical taste in my mouth. I knew that they'd put a drug into the food. They'd do anything to get what they wanted. The next day, my mind was not clear, my reactions were delayed, and I often said things I did not intend to say.

Another time, when eight or nine people tried their best to force-feed me, my lips were torn and bleeding, my teeth were hit and my mouth was swollen. But because of the magical strength of Dafa, they could not get anything in. They still attempted to force-feed me, and I suffered for over eight minutes this time. With the help of my righteous thoughts though, they did not succeed. Then they went crazy. They brought in a wooden board, which is a torture method for the severe criminals. The policemen even used this method to torture a good person. Their acts were extreme. I tried my best to resist. The inmates tied me to the wooden board to start the force-feeding. They tortured me three times in one afternoon this way. Because I refused to cooperate, the inmate chief prompted other inmates to stop me from sleeping. Once I closed my eyes, they would slap my face or kick me and forced me to stay awake the whole night. I resisted the torture gracefully as a Falun Dafa practitioner.

During the hunger strike, a doctor from the prison hospital force-fed me three times and prompted other inmates to force-feed me seven times. Every time I was tortured, I was left with many scars. On the 16th day of my hunger strike, my body was very weak, and I was on the verge of dying. The police bureau and the detention center had to notify my family to take me home. I looked like a different person from the one who had entered the detention center. My face and mouth are disfigured. I have difficulty talking. I have headaches, I am weak, I have no appetite, and I can't sleep well at night. I still have scars on my face as result of the force-feedings, and I am as skinny as a skeleton. Many relatives and friends were heartbroken when they saw me and said that I was persecuted into a "little old man." My reactions are very slow from the drugs they gave me during the force-feedings. Before my arrest I was fine and happy and had quick reflexes, and many people said I was youthful. After 10 days of detention I was persecuted to this extent. The Tianxin District National Security Brigade of the Changsha City Detention Center is fully responsible for this. During my hunger strike, the doctors from the prison hospital and the policemen at the detention center committed crimes knowing full well that their actions were illegal, but they still instigated inmates to force-feed me brutally. The policemen saw the inmates beat me and not allow me to sleep, but they did not care and encouraged the inmates. This is how badly I was tortured. These people do not care about their conscience or about their professional ethics as policemen. Their acts also violated the law and related regulations. They have certainly broken criminal law, clause 13. The policeman Liu and prison doctors are directly responsible. The chief at the detention center is also responsible. I ask higher-level officials of the administration office to differentiate the truth from falsehood, and order them to correct their actions to prevent this from happening again.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Luo Xiang graduated with a Ph.D. from the Institute of Theology in the Philosophy Department of Beijing University. He has been rejected several times from employment because he practices Falun Dafa. In 1998, Mr. Luo Xiang was sent to Rissho University in Japan because of his excellent GPA, but he returned to China due to physical illness. His doctor recommended that he practice Falun Dafa, and because of his practice, he recovered quickly after an operation. In 1999, Luo Xiang was a deputy member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Because he practices Falun Dafa, he gave up his membership at the end of 1999. Beijing University recorded his reason for giving up his CCP membership in his political file (1).

In February 2001, Luo Xiang was arrested from his dorm and taken to the Haidian District Police Station around midnight, and sentenced to 18 months in a labor camp. Upon his release, he returned to Beijing University to continue his studies. He finished his 100,000 word Ph.D. dissertation within one year, and received an excellent grade. A Professor at Wuhan University wrote to him and wanted him to be his post-doctorate student. Mr. Luo applied, and his interview score ranked the highest among all candidates.

In August 2001, while preparing to move to Wuhan City, the University notified him that they could not accept him because he practices Falun Dafa.

In 2004, Mr. Luo Xiang had an interview with Hunan Normal University, which was very excited about employing him, and arranged his classes for the following semester. Later, they found out he practices Falun Dafa and rejected him. An administrator at Wanzhou University told him that no school dares to employ someone associated with Falun Gong in their political file. If he could have those documents purged from his file, he would be more than willing to employ him as an instructor at Wenzhou University.

Mr. Luo Xiang has already submitted a letter to the Beijing University Administration Office, hoping to have his political file purged, but has not received any response from them.

(1) In China, everyone has a political file, which will follow him from place to place. If one graduated from a college, his employer would request the school to mail them his file, and he would mail the file to the next employer.

(Clearwisdom.net) Parents are abducted and persecuted, and children become orphans. This is happening in China today. Jiang's regime is savagely persecuting many Dafa practitioners, resulting in many families being tragically separated.

Sun Mingyuan is only five years old. He used to live with his daddy, Sun Qian, and mommy, Ma Chunli. Since both his parents practiced Falun Gong, they were illegally arrested. Mingyuan had to live with his grandma and missed his parents very much. When he heard that his mother was cruelly tortured and in critical condition, the five-year-old wrote his thoughts on a board. He wanted to hold the board and go with grandma to get his mommy back. He titled the board," I Want My Mommy - Please Help." The message read:

"My name is Sun Mingyuan and I am five years old. My daddy was illegally sentenced to 12 years in prison because he practices Falun Gong. Officers from the Dehui Police Station abducted my mommy on the street on December 14, 2004. Now she has been on hunger strike for 48 days and is in critical condition. I am lonely, helpless, and separated from my parents. Kind people, please help me. I miss my mommy. I want my mommy back and I want my daddy back."

Mingyuan went with his grandma to the detention center many times. They wanted to get his mommy, her daughter, back, but they did not succeed.

Sun Mingyuan's mother, Falun Dafa practitioner Ma Chunli, was abducted on a street on December 14, 2004, and detained. She has been on a hunger strike for 48 days. Now she is weak and in critical condition. Poor little Mingyuan and his grandma went to the detention center several times and asked for her release. The police made excuses and blamed others, and no one would assume responsibility and release her. Faced with this desperate circumstance and to save mommy's life, Mingyuan wrote his thoughts on a board, hoping that kind people would see them and help rescue her.

Sun Mingyuan's daddy, practitioner Sun Qian, was abducted on October 26, 2002. His detention term was extended by over 15 months. On January 15, 2004, the police carried Sun Qian, who was unable to walk as a result of torture, to court. He was illegally sentenced to 12 years in prison. He is now locked up in Jilin Prison.

Jiang Zemin, the head perpetrator and his followers who started the persecution slandered and framed Falun Gong, using all the media tools of the whole nation to suppress Falun Gong and to justify the persecution. In the past five years, Jiang's communist regime has never followed the law in persecuting Falun Gong. Instead, Jiang Zemin announced special policies specifically for dealing with Falun Gong: "ruin their reputations, bankrupt them financially and destroy them physically," "Falun Gong practitioners beaten to death are counted as committing suicide," "Falun Gong practitioners tortured to death are to be directly cremated without identifying them." The CCP and Jiang's faction not only persecute Falun Gong practitioners without any scruples, but they also take villainous methods against the practitioners' families.

Around 1:00 a.m. on November 3, 2004, officers from the Qianshan Police Department in Anshan City did a foul deed. They dispatched five police cars and a group of officers, led by Zhang Chengguo, the head of the Political and Security Section at the police department. They then broke into the homes of Falun Gong practitioners Jin Ying and Wu Yuqin in the Qianshan Iron Mine Employee's Dormitory Compound in Anshan City, abducted Jin Ying and Wu Yuqin and took them to the Qianshan Police Department.

On November 7, Wu Yuqin's husband Sun Youlin, who is not a Falun Gong practitioner, went to the Qianshan Police Department to bring his wife a coat, but the police refused to tell him where she was being held. He went to the No. 1 Detention Center and the No. 2 Detention Center in Anshan City but didn't find his wife. He went back to the Qianshan Police Department and argued with the police. Incited by Zhang Chengguo, many police officers attacked Sun Youlin and beat him to death. A hole was found on the back of his head from beating, and his body was covered with burns from electric batons.

In order to cover up the murder, the police took Sun Youlin's lifeless body to the central city hospital. The doctor saw that Sun Youlin had been dead for quite some time so he didn't do anything. The police ordered the doctor to issue a suicide document but he refused.

After Sun Youlin's death, the perpetrators from the Qianshan Police Department went to Wu Yuqin's family for three consecutive days and told them Sun Youlin's death had nothing to do with them. They also said they would give them 80,000 yuan if the family didn't file a lawsuit against them. They also threatened Wu Yuqin, "We are not done with you yet!"

Falun Gong practitioner Liu Qiusheng lived in Qingdong Village, Cuimiao Township, Fucheng County, Hebei Province. On February 2, 2002, police abducted him and took him to the police department. Kou Wentong, the deputy head of the police department and Zhang Zhijun, head of the Political and Security Division, tied him up and tortured him for over one hour until he lost consciousness. It was learned from inmates that Liu Qiusheng was beaten many times later as well and he was force-fed on a Death Bed.

Within 20 days, from February 2 to February 22, this healthy and strong 44-year-old man was tortured to death. In order to cover up their crime, the police, including Kou Wentong, went to the village Party Secretary. They colluded to trick Liu Qiusheng's 16-year-old son Liu Dong to leave his factory job, to be present in the autopsy room, and to act as a witness.

The teen-ager, Liu Dong, had already suffered so much as a result of his father being tortured to death; he was severely traumatized when he saw the doctor cutting open his father's dead body. The police notified Liu Qiusheng's wife after the autopsy was finished. His wife went and saw that the ears, face, lips, right shoulder and right chest were black and blue, yet the official autopsy report claimed, "No external injury found; Liu Qiusheng died from fatty heart disease."

Liu Qiusheng's wife insisted on hiring a coroner herself, but the perpetrators didn't permit her request to be carried out and insisted on immediately cremating the body. Liu Qiusheng's wife and son fought with all their strength, but to no avail. Kou Wentong and other perpetrators called more than 100 roughnecks. Led by the head of the police department, they surrounded Liu Qiusheng's wife and son. They pinned them to the ground, stepped on their heads and covered their mouths to prevent them from shouting and moving. One of the thugs who held Liu Dong was the fake coroner who had "examined" Liu Qiusheng's body. The perpetrators hastily cremated the body. Thinking there was no longer anything the victims could do without the evidence, they shouted, "Now go and sue us!"

Falun Gong practitioner Gao Feng, former name Gao Xiufeng, lived in Xingsheng Township, Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province. She was persecuted for practicing Falun Gong and left home in early 2001 to avoid abduction by police. Three months later. on May 9, she went home to help with the fieldwork. On May 12, Zhan Zhigang, the deputy head from the Political and Security Section of Wuchang City Police Department, and other perpetrators abducted her from home and illegally held her at Wuchang City's Administrative Custody Center. She held a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Seven days later, on May 19, Gao Feng died from a punctured lung as a result of force-feeding at Wuchang City People's Hospital.

Afterwards, the local police tried to cremate the body but Gao Feng's family refused to sign the death certificate and demanded an autopsy. Chen Shusen, deputy head for Wuchang City Police Department said, "You think we won't cremate her body if you don't sign it? We'll still do it without your signature; it's a common practice throughout the country." He ordered the body to be cremated. He also ordered five or six police officers to tie up another practitioner, Sun Qiang, and sent him to the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp.

After the cremation, Chen Shusen went to Gao Feng's husband Wu Zhiqiang and said, "We'll give you 60,000 yuan if you say your wife died from practicing Falun Gong." Wu Zhiqiang firmly refused to betray his conscience; thus the authorities failed in their wicked attempt.

During the past several years, the authorities at labor camps and prisons have deliberately and indirectly killed Falun Gong practitioners to stifle evidence of the persecution. Many practitioners were tortured to a wretched state at the labor camps and prisons, yet the perpetrators there ignore the practitioners' condition, do not provide any medical attention and do not notify their families until the practitioners are dead or dying.

The practitioners' families are faced with lawless police officers or guards backed by the government, and with nowhere to turn for justice, they have no choice but to take their loved ones home, who are often unconscious. Many practitioners taken home in this manner passed away soon after their release.

Mr. Li Guoshun was 27 years old and had graduated from the Longyan City Industrial Vocational School in 1998. He was abducted by police on August 23, 2004 while distributing truth-clarifying materials, and was detained in the Longyan Detention Center. He held a hunger strike to resist the persecution. After 15 days, the detention center sent him to the Minxi Prison Hospital, where he continued on his hunger strike for another 25 days without receiving any treatment. Forty days later, on October 3, 2004 he was rushed to the Longyan City Second Hospital for emergency treatment but died ten days later, on October 14, 2004. During his hunger strike, Li Guoshun's mother asked twice for his release on medical parole but her request was denied.

Ms. Zhang Haiyan's nearsightedness and deformed right leg were corrected soon after she started practicing Falun Gong. After the persecution began in 1999, she persisted in practicing Falun Gong and didn't submit to pressure. She was illegally detained. Because she refused to give up her belief, the perpetrators hung her up with her hands cuffed, tied her up with ropes and brutally beat her. Nearly two years of inhuman torture harmed her tremendously, both physically and mentally. In February 2003, when her family visited her, they noticed her head was wrapped in a bandage and her hands were severely swollen. She didn't recognize her family. One month later, on March 21, 2003, authorities from the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp notified her family to pick her up. Zhang Haiyan was suffering from a complete mental collapse and could not take care of herself. She passed away in January 2004. Her 12-year-old son cried, "I will never see mother again!"

Wang Fang lived in Hailin City, Mudanjiang Area in Heilongjiang Province. During the time she was illegally held at the Mudanjiang City Detention Center, the detention center deputy head slapped her mouth with slippers. During the time she was illegally held at the Hailin Detention Center, guard Shan Chengqiang demanded to know if she would still practice. Wang Fang said, "If I can't practice here, I'll practice at home." Shan Chengqiang clamped her hands with a torture device called "hand sticks," causing both hands to become immobile, swollen, and finally completely disabled. She was not given any food for nine days and nine nights, and the perpetrators whipped the soles of her feet with plastic tubes. Later she was transferred to Harbin City Female Prison in Heilongjiang Province where she was further tortured. She was released when she was only skin and bones. She passed away at 3:00 a.m. on September 24, 2004, within two months of her release.

According to statistics published by the Minghui website, many deaths of Falun Gong practitioners were intentionally caused by labor camp and prison authorities, in an attempt to cover up their crimes of torture and extortion.

Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake during the Inquisition in the middle ages. People always feel sad and angry whenever it is mentioned. In his article, Zhao Zhizhen tries to make himself out to be a Bruno at the stake. However, while he tries to gain others' sympathy, we must point out that it's Falun Gong practitioners who have been suffering the great pain of being burned at the stake.

Once you see Gao Rongrong's picture (published in Part 1), in which her face was seriously maimed by electric shocks, and read the report about Chen Zixiu's violent death by torture, you will know that I have not exaggerated what I said about the great pain of being burned at the stake. Among Falun Gong practitioners, there are also a lot of outstanding people, including intellectuals, who have been tortured badly.

Retired professor Yang Jingxia from the College of Architecture and Environment in Sichuan University is a famous environmentalist who has visited a lot of countries. From 1995 to 2000, Professor Yang Jingxia had been employed by the World Bank as a member of the "environmental protection and immigration counseling group." Professor Yang has her own company, and has two patents. She was sentenced to jail for three years for practicing Falun Gong. In her "Ten thousand word letter," which was secretly delivered out of the jail recently, she describes the whole process of being adducted by two plainclothes policemen at home, and then not allowed to sleep for 102 hours, of being beaten and tortured, then jailed in Chengdu City Detention Center, and finally being officially arrested.

A senior engineer at Chongqing University, 64-year-old Professor Zhang Yougao is an expert in photo-electricity and the group leader of a research group in the Three Gorges Dam Project. He has received the award of "advanced worker" several times. Because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, he was tortured in Baihelin Detention Center in Shapingba District of Chongqing for several months. Then he was sent to Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing for a year, where he was tortured badly. After one year, his sentence was extended for another six months for no reason. After his release, he was forced to attend a brainwashing class held by the local government.

A former senior engineer in the Chinese Ministry of Space and Astronautics Industry, 60-year-old Yang Yueli, was one of the researchers who designed the first manmade satellite in China, and had been involved in many important national-level research projects. She was unlawfully detained for 41 days, and then sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. During four months of detention in Beijing's Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, her family was not allowed to visit her. They were not even allowed to give her toothpaste and clothes. In this labor camp, where many Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death, she was jailed in the cruel "intensive training camp" for three months, and then transferred to Beijing's Xin'an Forced Labor Camp for further torture. Due to her son's rescue efforts, she was finally rescued to Canada.

Li Baoqing, a Ph.D. supervisor in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was awarded as the "advanced worker" in the important "seventh five-year" research projects in the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was also a winner of a special government grant. He was detained for 38 days for practicing Falun Gong. He was also forced to attend a brainwashing class and jailed in detention centers many times.

Forty-year-old Wu Yifeng, who was the chair of the Department of Architectural Engineering in Changchun Architecture Engineering College, and a famous expert in bridge design in Northeast China, was tortured at the Changchun City Police Department, and then sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment.

Forty-three-year-old Dr. Shen Yingbo is a professor and an outstanding scientist and chairman at Forestry University. He had the most and the highest rated publications in the school. He was held in a detention center and forced to attend brainwashing classes many times.

Twenty-eight-year-old Qu Yanlai graduated from the Department of Energy Engineering in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He had won the special award of the national Olympic competition for chemistry and the first place for mathematics. He was abducted by police from Shanghai Taopu Police Station and unlawfully sentenced to prison for five years. The young man, who was 5'9" and weighed 150 pounds was tortured so badly that he could only lie in bed or sit in a wheelchair. He was unable to take care of himself.

Similar cases are endless. These outstanding individuals were the hope of their families and also the hope of our nation's future. Their tragic stories really make one's heart grow heavy.

Before July 20, 1999, when Falun Gong practitioners began to suffer from the persecution, the CCP had already started sharpening its knives. It needed to find a way to justify its actions and mislead the public, as it has done in numerous political movements before. The interview program made by people under the orders of Zhao Zhizhen only included one-sided stories from those who hated Falun Gong. It did not include a response from Falun Gong practitioners. Moreover, it did not include a response from Falun Gong's founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. This interview did not have any scientific content or the spirit of discussing "both sides." It did not even reach the standard of a news report. In his article, Zhao Zhizhen has admitted that Chinese Central TV Station (CCTV) has taken some of their footage from this interview program. When CCTV inundated the Chinese people with this footage, the right of free speech and defense of Falun Gong practitioners and Mr. Li Hongzhi were taken away. Wasn't the "ironclad" case of former Chinese President Liu Shaoqi being a "traitor, spy, scab in the working class" produced under the same circumstance in which his right to speak was taken away?

What is more sad is that this TV program was used as a major brainwashing tool, as it was shown repeatedly to practitioners who were jailed in prisons, labor camps, and brainwashing classes all over China. When these Falun Gong practitioners were being tortured, when Gao Rongrong's face was being maimed, when Chen Zixiu was tortured to death, when a lot of intellectuals were framed, and when Chinese citizens' right of assembly was taken away, Zhao Zhizhen and other people founded the "Chinese Anti-cult Association" to make the political movement of persecuting Falun Gong appear to be justified and to eradicate Falun Gong. This "anti-cult association" is actually an evil association just like the Inquisition. In this association, there are not only people like the member of the Chinese Academy of Science, He Zuoxiu, who has no research achievements and often quotes the words of high-ranking Chinese government officials, but also the Catholic bishop appointed by the Chinese government, Fu Tieshan. Everyone knows that the bishop does not belong to the scientific community, but no one can tell if he is a Catholic or a member of the CCP. These are the so-called "experts from various fields with great research achievements and good reputation" referred to in Zhao Zhizhen's article.

Zhao Zhizhen's reaction to being sued by Falun Gong practitioners has nothing to do with protecting science. Science should not be protected this way. While practitioners' free speech was taken away, they interviewed people who had been brainwashed to hate Falun Gong and collected one-sided stories, and then repeatedly showed these interviews, thereby intensively brainwashing the public in turn. Is this what they call protecting science? When practitioners' right of assembly was taken away, when practitioners were subjected to torture and suffered unjust treatment in prisons, they formed an association to frame and attack them. Is this protecting science? If Einstein, who devoted his life to protecting human rights, knew that this is how they were "protecting science," how much would he suffer?

Although Zhao Zhizhen tried to make himself out to be a hero like Bruno, who suffered unjust treatment, Zhao has not suffered any persecution. It is a peaceful and reasonable self-defense action that Falun Gong practitioners have taken in suing Zhao Zhizhen in a court that has an independent judiciary in a democratic country. Zhao Zhizhen accused Falun Gong of "gagging intellectuals' mouths and banning different opinions so that they could reach the purpose of 'digging out heaven's eye, polluting people's hearts'." This accusation is just as ridiculous and fabricated as the Red Guard armies' accusations against "The landlords, rich farmers, anti-revolutionaries, bad people and rightists" (5 categories of people who were persecuted during the Cultural Revolution) and the framed intellectuals for "rebelling and trying to make Chinese people to suffer again." Falun Gong has no military or organizations such as the Commission of Political and Judiciary Affairs and Propaganda Department, and Falun Gong has never tried to "gag intellectuals' mouths" or block different opinions. Conversely, many Falun Gong practitioners, including the intellectuals, have been imprisoned, had their mouths silenced and been banned for having different opinions. They have been abducted, tortured and killed for trying to exercise their right of free speech.

It is Zhao Zhizhen and the regime that supports him, the CCP, who are "digging out heaven's eye and polluting people's hearts." Zhao Zhizhen kept silent about this CCP regime's corruption, and of its stealing money that belonged to the Chinese people to persecute innocent people who have no power. Zhao Zhizhen pretended not to see the fact that the CCP regime tried to hide the truth about SARS, which caused many preventable deaths. Zhao Zhizhen didn't say a word when many intellectuals were tortured in the dark prisons. Instead, he formed that evil association to help the dictators persecute Falun Gong practitioners. This is what Zhao Zhizhen claimed to be "the moral standard and righteousness of this group," in his article.

Why does Zhao Zhizhen try to pose as a protector of science? This is because science has already become the mainstream thought in modern society, and has absolute authority. To pose as a protector of science, 1) there is no risk, 2) he can obtain support from others, and 3) he can claim this accusation is against the whole scientific community, instead of just against him, so that the whole scientific community will share this hatred and fight with him. But the accusation against him is exactly due to his instigation of hatred, which is totally against the spirit of science. The accusation against him is not an attack on science, nor does it pose any harm to the truth. Two Nobel Prize winners, Lenart and Stark, who helped the Nazis to instigate hatred, had much more scientific achievement and much higher academic reputations than the "honor and glories" about which Zhao Zhizhen has bragged. However, when they were accused, no one has ever said that it was an attack on the scientific community. I wish Zhao Zhizhen would face his own behavior and his position in the scientific community. He should not try to pose as the representative or guard of science and truth, because this blasphemes science and truth.

Zhao Zhizhen tries to portray himself as Bruno being burned at the stake, but he is more like an Inquisitor. When he gained laurels and wreathes from people like Cao Yuan, while bragging about "the honor and glories" and boasting that "he will enjoy his time with his friends, laughing and chatting," Falun Gong practitioners, however, are suffering from the flame of the burning stake, and the scorn and discrimination from the deceived population. Zhao Zhizhen's laugh cannot cover up Falun Gong practitioners' cries of pain in prisons. It cannot cover Gao Rongrong's maimed face. It cannot cover the blood from Chen Zhixiu's dead body. It cannot cover the devastation of the children who have been orphaned by the persecution, and it cannot cover the misery of the many intellectuals in prison.

(Clearwisdom.net) Secret orders about Falun Gong have been sent from the top down, one after another, in China. The orders have disturbed administrators at all levels, causing them to pay serious attention to them. Each level is now requiring its inferiors to write a Guarantee Letter that Falun Gong practitioners will be closely monitored to ensure that no problems arise in their workplaces. One recently issued document stressed that Falun Gong practitioners who still insist on practicing are to be dismissed from their positions and those who are members be expelled from the Chinese Communist Party.

Near the end of December 2004, an internal document was circulated within various branch offices and institutions in Beijing. Some offices received documents that did not even have the official stamps, as if the stamps might be seen as incriminating evidence. Presented under the title "Organizational Plan and Resolution on Preventing 'Falun Gong,'" it ordered various branches to prevent Falun Gong practitioners from carrying out large-scale activities to clarify the truth.

As these internal documents circulated, Jiang's regime plotted a series of activities to reinforce the persecution of Falun Gong. Utilizing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), they executed a new round of large-scale arrests and another slanderous attack on Falun Gong based on the fabricated Tiananmen Self-immolation in 2001. The slander was enhanced with selections from a Western reporter's interview, taking advantage of the of Western media's good reputation to create the false idea that "the persecution is supported by Western society." All this is part of the larger scheme to continue the persecution of Falun Gong by "Ruining their reputations, bankrupting them financially, and destroying them physically."

On January 21, 2005, the Associated Press (AP) published an article about the so-called "Tiananmen Self-Immolation." Arranged by CCP officials, a Xinhua News Agency "reporter" interviewed the "participants" in the 2001 Tiananmen Self-immolation, which has since been shown to have been plotted and directed by Jiang's regime.

Many people are aware that the "Tiananmen Self-immolation" incident was one of the primary tools used by Jiang Zemin's regime to turn public opinion against Falun Gong. However, AP copied and repeated the CCP's slanderous propaganda against Falun Gong in its article. The AP article has been reprinted or quoted by many Western media.

The opinion of many Falun Gong practitioners around the world is that, although many Western media that printed the AP reports took care to also report Falun Gong practitioners' understandings and comments about the Self-immolation incident, AP's irresponsible report nevertheless passed on CCP lies to Western society, assisting in the persecution by spreading hatred.

In response to this situation, beginning on January 25, Falun Dafa practitioners from around the world have gathered to appeal in front of the AP Headquarters in New York, calling upon AP to make up for the damage it has caused.

Last weekend, practitioners appealed and distributed truth-clarifying materials in front of the AP Headquarters. The materials included the English Epoch Times special edition "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (CCP)." One practitioner stated that, when the top-level AP administrators held a conference last Sunday, "We gave them the 'Falun Gong Practitioners' Open Letter to the Associated Press' at the gate. This weekend, some people in the office building joined our practitioners to learn the exercises, and some people inquired where they could buy Falun Gong books."

From Monday to Wednesday this week, Western media reporters and editors gathered at the AP Headquarters. They took many photos of Falun Gong practitioners and the banners in front of the building and accepted flyers explaining the truth of the "Tiananmen Self-immolation." Almost everyone willingly accepted the "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party" handed to them.

The reporters and staff of AP told Falun Gong practitioners: "Our purpose is to report the facts neutrally by releasing news without giving comments. This article indeed violated AP's purpose."

TV Channel 13's reporter suggested that AP come up with a resolution. The reporter said that the AP shouldn't refuse to speak face to face. If they did, it would be interesting news to a TV station.

The practitioners who appealed in front of AP Headquarters told reporters: "In Western society, facing such a peaceful group of Falun Gong practitioners, any person who repeated and copied CCP's lies should re-think their actions."

(Clearwisdom.net) From the editor: There are some very good points in this article. We also noticed at the same time that under control of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), there is no true "rule by law" in China. This is obvious to people in normal countries overseas. Yet, the reasonable parts of China's current Constitution and laws can still be used by practitioners to clarify the truth and validate Falun Dafa -- we are not trying to save ourselves from the tribulation, but utilizing every usable form in human society to clarify the truth, eliminate the evil, and save sentient beings.

Laws should represent values such as fairness, justice, and righteousness, and they should protect and harmonize the social order. Laws that fall into this category are called good laws in the field of law. Laws that have turned against these legitimate purposes and that have deteriorated into the justification of evil are evil laws.

There are two different attitudes in the field of law toward evil laws: one is that people should follow the evil laws until the laws are voided; the other is that since the evil laws lack legitimacy, their very existence is unlawful, and they should not be followed. The current government in China, under the control of the evil old forces, used the so-called "laws" used to persecute Falun Dafa. These laws are created on the pretext of political concerns, and are backed up by tyranny. People should not silently and passively give such laws legitimacy by obeying them.

In the history of the Western world, there have been two civilizing orders: religion and the law. Both are very different from the Chinese culture passed on by gods and its moral civilization. In the Western world, laws were initially recognized as inspiration and commandments of God. But over time, the human society degenerated, and in the 19^th and 20^th centuries, science and technology affected the traditional moral standards when the law deviated from its former solemnity. In particular, in Marx's version of atheism, the law became "the manifestation of the ruling class's will." In socialist countries, the law became a tool to be abused by the people in power. The classic theory of "the law was passed on to the people by God" has all but passed from mankind's understanding. The process is manifested as laws change from sacred to worldly, and reflects the process of humanity's degeneration, which is not the proper development of human society, but is instead the arrangement of the evil old forces. This is a situation we should completely negate.

The current laws in China use commonly acknowledged theories and principles of law as references, but the selection of those theories and principles is based on the principles of Marxism, which do not recognize the fact that the essence of law is connected to justice. From middle school to college, students are brainwashed with the theory, "The law is the manifestation of the ruling class's will." Theoretical research of laws, training and education, judicial and law enforcement, and the design of the legal system are all permeated by this basic theory (only in recent years has this situation improved minutely).

The "ruling class" here is not the workers or farmers as propagandized, but the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). As the country is under control of the CCP, and the CCP is controlled by the current criminal regime, the will of the head of the regime could easily be manifested in the form of the country's laws. In fact, in China the function of the entire judicial system and administration is to serve the needs of the evil political power. Although Falun Dafa practitioners should be able to use the laws to oppose the persecution, this is rarely the case. The overwhelming facts of the situation indicate that once practitioners point out how persecutors have violated the laws they themselves created, by persecuting Falun Dafa, the authorities either ignore the appeals of the practitioners or irrationally retaliate against practitioners using abduction, brutal torture, and secret trials and sentences. In so doing, they have thoroughly exposed their evil countenance. When the principles of the cosmos reappear in the human world, mankind will be remade; how could we believe that the laws created by the CCP could fundamentally protect Falun Dafa and practitioner's rights and benefits?

A. Jiang distorts and abuses the law at will

Since the theory of "Class struggle" of Marx prevailed in China, the commonly recognized legal values such as fairness, justice, and righteousness were pushed to the side. The notion of "Law is the manifestation of the ruling class's will" filled the field of legal research; this notion has also manifested itself in every detail of the judicial system and the legal practice. This concept has twisted the law to the point of absurdity, for instance, according to China's Constitution, the CCP is considered to be the only lawful party in power. Since the needs and benefits of the CCP are changing all the time, the guiding ideology and the theory on which the Constitution is based is also unceasingly changing. This requires frequent changes to the Constitution and the laws. Ideologies from Marx to Deng Xiaoping, and even Jiang's theories, were included in the Constitution. When Jiang Zemin publicly declared he would, "Eliminate Falun Gong in three months," The National People's Congress and the Supreme Court immediately responded and complied, and created legal tools to efficiently persecute Falun Dafa: the National People's Congress published their "Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Banning Heretical Cult Organizations, Preventing and Punishing Cult Activities" (referred to as "Decision" in the following text). The Supreme Court also published related judicial explanations.

B. The old evil forces created and developed the evil party's judicial system; their reason for doing so is to persecute practitioners today

Since "Rule by law" has become the norm throughout the world, evil political powers don't dare to openly and rampantly carry out their dictatorships. Instead, they too declare themselves to be "ruled by law." (Special Note: before the persecution started, because I was deceived and had incorrect understandings, I wrote an article praising Jiang's "strategies of rule by law." I now declare that the article I wrote is invalid; I want to clean up that stain in my life.) Although Jiang set out to improve the congressional system and called for judicial independence, the distorted judicial and legal systems could never fundamentally change. Each time changes were made, the goal was to "improve and strengthen the leadership of the Party." All levels of the National People's Congress are forever puppets of the party; the CCP first determines its principles and direction, and then the National People's Congress carries them out (including making new laws), serving as mere tools of the CCP's "lawful" dictatorship. So when the CCP wanted to "defeat Falun Gong," the National People's Congress immediately publicized its related "Decision," making the persecution legal. The Political and Judicial Committees of the CCP control all departments, including the police, procurator, judicial system, and courts. When the 610 Office gave the order, all the departments mentioned above acted together to carry out the systematic legal persecution of practitioners and their family members.

C. The purpose of maintaining the failing labor "re-education" system is to persecute practitioners

The forced labor re-education system and the detention system exist in violation of the Constitution and other basic laws such as the "Legislation Law." People from all walks of life, including people in the field of law, have long condemned their illegal nature and the crimes committed as a matter of course in their operation. Calls to immediately eliminate the two systems have been heard everywhere. The detention system was grudgingly dismantled by the CCP due to the incident in which Mr. Sun Zhigang was tortured to death. However, the CCP believes that, "without the forced labor re-education system, it would not have been so easy to persecute practitioners," and therefore the CCP has kept the evil system in place.

4. Using the law as tool to persecute practitioners has the overwhelming power to deceive

A. Cultivating Falun Dafa does not harm society in any way, so there is no reason to punish people for their practice

Criminal laws punish certain actions because of the damage they do to society. People who truly cultivate Falun Dafa follow the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" and try to become better people; they try to improve their character all the time and work hard on conforming to the state of ordinary human society. Their cultivation has innumerable benefits and no detriments to society; therefore, those who cultivate Falun Dafa shouldn't be the objects of prosecution under criminal law. In order to create the illusion of legitimacy for their evil persecution, the persecutors staged the "Self -immolation" incident in Tiananmen Square and framed Falun Gong using the homicide cases of some mentally ill people in a bid to make people believe that practicing Falun Gong results in "great social harms." The ineptness revealed in their actions as their lies were exposed only underscores the greatness of Falun Dafa.

B. From the legal perspective, there is no logic in persecuting Falun Dafa

a. Freedom of belief is guaranteed by the Chinese Constitution, and is a basic human right that is protected by the International Human Rights Treaty.

b. Additions to the Criminal Law and the "Decision" by the National People's Congress only vaguely define the crimes of individuals using heretical cult organizations to violate the law, without a clear definition of "Heretical Cult Organizations," or the criteria necessary to make judgments about the crime. The publications do not state which parts of the law were violated. Logic is defied as they skirt the issue.

c. The Ministry of Civic Affair's order to ban Falun Gong and The Ministry of Public Security's declaration of "Six Prohibitions," which are used as tools to execute the persecution, are only regulations enforced by government agencies, they are not laws. Furthermore, these regulations violate the Constitution and other basic laws, so they fall into the category of non-viable regulations because of their unconstitutional nature. However, in China, the CCP has been allowed to use its status of party in power as stipulated by the Constitution to trample the law and strengthen its power. The CCP has never allowed people to protect their own basic human rights using the Constitution. The CCP used the government agencies to create unconstitutional regulations; there is no system to examine Constitutional violations so that unconstitutional regulations can be eliminated. In the trials of individual cases, lawyers and defendants are not allowed to directly quote articles in the Constitution to protect their rights. In their actions the Ministry of Civic Affairs and The Ministry of Public Security have openly violated the Constitution and the laws in creating and publishing these regulations once they received orders from the 610 Office. Local judicial agencies and other government agencies used these regulations as excuses to rampantly persecute the practitioners, claiming that they are enforcing the law.

C. The CCP used evil laws to persecute Falun Dafa. In so doing, it deceived many practitioners and poisoned countless sentient beings from all realms

When degenerate laws turn into the weapons of tyranny, they shouldn't be called laws any more. Many people are influenced by notions, including their belief that evil laws are still laws, and that the prestige and order of the law must be maintained, their fear of those in power, their desire to protect their own interests, and their belief in Marxist theories, such as, "The weak will surrender to the strong." When the evil used the law to prohibit people from practicing Falun Dafa, many practitioners who had not studied the Fa well (including myself) and many ordinary people were deceived (although these people knew clearly that Falun Dafa is good). Their understanding was, "the government is against Falun Dafa, the law prohibits the practice, although the government and the law are wrong, we should still obey them. After all, wrong laws also enforce the authority of the country, and we should not turn against the government and violate the law." This degenerate idea or notion is still preventing many of our fellow practitioners from stepping forward and has prevented many people with predestined relationships and who want to learn from cultivating Falun Dafa. Furthermore, this notion is a very strong obstacle to understanding the truth for many ordinary people, since they don't understand why practitioners are risking their lives in clarifying the truth. In particular, the evil uses the media and has the "royal law experts" praise the evil laws, strengthening the deceptive power of the evil laws.

Actually, the government belongs to the people, and should reflect the will of the people. It should not be the tool of the CCP. The CCP is not the equivalent of the country; they are two separate entities. The law shouldn't be the weapon of Jiang's group. Using the twisted logic of the party, it would seem that rules made by the head of the Mafia should be obeyed because of the violent nature of the Mafia. Following the evil laws is tacit acceptance of the evil. As a Fa-rectification Dafa disciple, we shouldn't be like some of the deities of the old cosmos, who were restricted by the principles of the old cosmos and could only worry helplessly.

In order to save more deceived people, practitioners must break through their own notions that "practicing Falun Gong is against the law," which was forced upon them by the evil propaganda. This notion is seriously interfering with them and preventing them from forming correct understandings toward Falun Dafa. We need to specifically clarify the truth with more strength, firmly stating that "practicing Falun Gong is lawful, and the persecution is violating the law." Before, I thought that clarifying the truth about the staged "Self -immolation Incident" was most powerful in breaking through the lies, so I put emphasis on distributing materials in that regard. Now I realize that the notion that "practicing Falun Gong is against the law, is against the government, and is involvement in politics" is seriously blocking more people from understanding the truth. So I downloaded a related article from Minghui.org (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) and materials that talk about members of Jiang's group being sued in Canada, and distributed them. In doing so, I tell people the following facts: from the professional angle of workers in the field of law, persecuting Falun Dafa violates the current basic laws and the Constitution of China, in both legislation and legal precedence. The persecution also violates international treaty, and as a result, is not tolerated by the laws of other countries. Although the legal agencies in China are under control of evil forces, and practitioners can't prosecute the persecutors yet, the laws of other nations won't tolerate the trampling of law and justice. The clear contrast between lawsuits against the persecution outside China and the brutal persecution inside China makes it easy for people to understand the truth.

Teacher Li has mentioned many times that practitioners should view the persecution with a clear and rational mind, and not regard it as persecution initiated by ordinary human beings toward other human beings. As practitioners, we all know that laws restrict and enclose people fundamentally. In particular, some of the current laws in China are products of complete degeneration. Although the evil is also frightened while using the law to persecute practitioners, and the laws they created against practitioners are filled with loopholes, because of the momentum of the corrupt judiciary and the complicated nature of laws, it is very hard for non-professionals to use other laws in the system to punish criminals. It is very easy to get lost in the complicated relationships of law and fall into the frames and restrictions of law. Because the laws created against practitioners didn't give the definition of a cult and criteria for that definition, people all know that they were created to target Falun Gong, just like Article 23 in Hong Kong. Plus, it is now understood and accepted that the results of a trial of Falun Gong practitioners are dictated by government agencies, that "trials" are merely matters of formality, and that sentencing someone to a term of forced labor requires no legal procedures such as a court trial. Furthermore, even if these cases, which are not matters of law but political actions, can be overturned in the future, law enforcement staff and other participants believe they can't be held responsible since they were following orders. Regarding the above situation, we as practitioners are not helpless, since Teacher told us to completely negate the arrangements of the evil old forces, including their "laws."

Before, as a practitioner who worked in the field of law, I always struggled in my mind when I saw so many practitioners being sentenced and persecuted under those evil laws; I felt that I should do something about it, yet I was helpless. In the persecution, the persecutors have never really followed the law, they were simply using the law as their weapon, so the more we followed the law, the deeper we were persecuted. When I saw the letters of appeal and the lawsuits written by fellow practitioners, I was always deeply touched. Many of them were obviously not written by professionals, yet they are truly powerful. Ordinary legal professionals could never write these articles, since they only crawl within the framework of the current laws. The power and wisdom of the words originated from those practitioners' righteous thoughts and righteous actions; because they have studied the Fa well, their path is righteous, so they have greater wisdom and broader views. Teacher has repeatedly told us to do "the three things" well. If we study the Fa well, then we will naturally have great wisdom. If we can send forth righteous thoughts with a pure mind, the evil has nowhere to hide. If we clarify the truth well, then people in the judicial system will wake up and the court will return to the side of justice. Of course, some people and some parts of the evil judicial system can't listen to the truth, and the perpetrators stubbornly execute their wicked tasks. These people cannot be moved by the compassionate words of practitioners, and in that case we need to eliminate the evil by sending forth righteous thoughts.

As the Fa rectification rapidly progresses, and the evil has been eliminated to a certain degree, more and more people have begun to wake up to the truth after the elements in other dimensions which controlled them were eliminated. These people have bravely stepped forward to support Falun Dafa. As practitioners, we are deeply thankful for them; their great deeds have guaranteed their positions in the future. Teacher has said many times that practitioners shouldn't be affected by environmental changes and that they should do the things practitioners should do regardless. We shouldn't put our hopes in outside environmental changes, since people's futures all depend on us. Regardless of their positions and careers, all people need to be saved. We should rationally look at the support of ordinary people and be clear that practitioners are creating history.

A. Because the Fa rectification has progressed to the current stage, attorney Gao Zhicheng was able to openly appeal for Falun Gong (see reference at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2005/1/17/56641.html). Also, attorney Gao's appeal was only looking for support and ideas from the evil's old legal system. In the open letter, he brought up many pertinent points, such as "laws are not applicable retroactively" and "Criminal laws in all countries can only 'bear upon' (in China, it is 'attack') people's actions, not their minds or identities." Yet his analysis of the unlawful nature of the "the Ministry of Civic Affairs order to ban Falun Gong and The Ministry of Public Security's declaration of 'Six Prohibitions'" was not deep enough. He also failed to question "The Decision" by the National People's Congress. Restricted by many notions, legal professionals like Mr. Gao can't see the essence of the evil laws from deeper perspectives. If persecutors search the practitioner's home in his presence, or simply abducted practitioners who were making or distributing fliers, then could the fliers be used as "effective evidence" to persecute the practitioners? After the evil laws were made against Falun Gong, then should practitioners' actions of clarifying the truth be punished? Restricted within the current frame of laws, righteous people like Gao Zhicheng can't completely realize the lawful and just nature of practitioners tapping into the cable TV networks. (Please note: I respect attorney Gao Zhicheng very much, and I believe he will understand that my words are just a different opinion, and that I am taking a different angle.)

B. The great deed of attorney Gao Zhicheng has won praise from all over the world, yet there are few who share the same bravery. His open letter was published on the Internet since there was no other avenue. Because of the information blockade, few people know about it in China. The persecutors are probably creating trouble for him right now for his great deed. Voices of support from attorney Yang Zaixin in Guangxi Province and attorney Guo Guoting in Shanghai may bring attorney Gao some comfort. (As an alumnus of the Southwest Political and Judicial University, I call for other alumni of the university to lend your voice in support of justice!) Attorney Gao's helplessness reflected the tragic situation of China's judicial system, which is under control of the evil (political power). Yet the very existence of people like Mr. Gao Zhicheng and Yang Zaixin is a sign of change in the judicial system and the political arena; it's like a clear sign of an iceberg melting.

In all fields of law, there are Falun Dafa practitioners. Some of them have also been persecuted. As the law has become the primary weapon of the persecutors, whether a practitioner is persecuted or the degree of persecution one receives has nothing to do with the person's knowledge of law. However, this does not mean that practitioners who work in the field of law are helpless regardless of their career and professional knowledge. In "Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference," Teacher said,

"When Dafa disciples look back at the path they have taken, [they'll see that] in different settings each person was walking his own path, and that there was a reason behind even the type of job you had in the human world, the lifestyle you had, etc. ... Such a path has been arranged for you because there are such factors in the cosmos, which have been given to you, and you are entrusted to walk that path."

When I think about the matter with a clear mind, I think that it is no accident that these practitioners work in the field of law in China in this special Fa-rectification period. Laws in the human world are also created for Fa rectification, so we can choose good laws and use them to validate Dafa. In addition, many practitioners currently enduring persecution urgently need us to help them in our profession. As practitioners and legal professionals, we should be clear about our mission and our path in Fa rectification. If we can't do what we should well, to cooperate the whole situation of Fa rectification, then just like Teacher said,

"You have failed to live up to the great trust placed in you by the cosmos, and that's no minor thing." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference")

The above is my personal understanding; please kindly point out my mistakes.

Among us, there is an eleven year old girl. She told about 50 to 60 people "Falun Dafa is Good" in one day, and gave them each a "Life Amulet." Most of the listeners understood the truth of Dafa and thanked this little girl.

We don't have the cultivation environment like Minghui Schools overseas, but we will keep our mind nature and do the three things well. We will follow little practitioners of the world in studying Fa and practicing cultivation, and follow Master back home.

Despite Wang Jindong's scorching clothes, the Sprite bottle full of gasoline between his legs and inflammable hair is in perfect condition. The police waited for Wang's slogan call, then covered his head with a fire blanket. (The Epoch Times)

TORONTO - Within 7 hours starting at 9 A.M. on February 6, Toronto resident Wang Gongshi continuously received 7 repeating calls from an anonymous number giving the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) description of the Tiananmen self-immolation incident. It was a coincidence that Wang Gongshi has been continuously investigating and tracing personnel related to scheming and participating in the self-immolation incident since the publication of the "Tiananmen self-immolation incident was directed by the Chinese government" statement by International Education Development (IED) of the United Nations on August of 2001.

Many questionable points in the self-immolation case

On the afternoon of January 23, 2001, two hours after the occurrence of the self-immolation, Xinhua News Agency broadcasted the English version of the news to the world, claiming the self-immolators were Falun Gong practitioners. A week later, the Central Committee Television (CCTV) broadcasted an approximately 90 second-long special program to report the breaking news. It was a public statement given by a self-immolator who drank half a Sprite bottle worth of gasoline but was unharmed. The hatred for Falun Gong was aroused nationwide, so that the persecution of Falun Gong, launched and directed by former CCP General Secretary Jiang Zemin, could continue.

The documentary film "False Fire," which won the 51st Columbus International Movie Television honor prize on November 8, 2003, pointed out the questionable point of the burned girl, Liu Siying, who was able to be interviewed and sang merely 4 days after a large area of her trachea was cut open. A video called "Focal Point Exchange" affirmed that an object thrown by a police that impacted Liu Chunling's forehead caused her to fall down. Beijing Jishuitan hospital did not take any preventive measures when treating the large-scale burn wounds of the "self-immolators" and even allowed the reporter to interview at a close distance. Though Wang Jindong's clothes were scorching, his hairs, which are very flammable, were not on fire; the Sprite bottle full of gasoline between his legs did not combust. The policeman by Wang's side was holding the fire blanket leisurely and swaying it laxly for a long time without a sense of urgency to put out the fire. There are many questionable points such as these.

On August 14, 2001, IED of the United Nations published a statement saying the alleged Tiananmen self-immolation incident was "staged by the government."

The CCP brings up past news to delay their last days of existence

Beginning January 2002, Wang Gongshi, a participant in the investigation of Tiananmen self-immolation and member of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) said, "The CCP bringing up the alleged self-immolation incident from four years ago again means two things. First, the CCP has no legal basis for the persecution of Falun Gong. Second, the CCP has felt their end coming."

"That the CCP sustains and maintains its power by fabricating the self-immolation incident to defame Falun Gong and forcing appealers to become self-immolators proves the CCP is a sheer evil specter," Wong Gongshi said. "The CCP takes advantage of its sole control of the media to stir up the alleged self-immolation incident again, this typical deceive-whoever-they-can approach is their attempt of delaying their demise."

Wang Gongshi also said, "The communist party of the Soviet Union dared to publish a rebuttal article to the nine commentaries on the Soviet Union from the same year, but till now, the CCP hasn't produced a rebuttal article to The Epoch Time's "Nine Commentaries on the CCP." The CCP can only maintain its state through the distribution of fake "Nine Commentaries," which shows that there is no one left in the CCP's dynasty and its power is gone."

Police reminds people to collect evidence

Wang Gongshi is not the only one who received telephone harassment in Toronto. Alice from North York and several of her friends from Toronto and New York also received anonymous calls with the same content on Sunday. Alice said, "Without a doubt, this is the CCP's systematic harassment of overseas Chinese people's rights before the New Year. Police are already involved, and we hope all Chinese friends who receive similar calls dial 416-808-2222 and report it to the police."

Toronto police station's liaison officer of the Toronto Chinese community Chen Chubiao told an Epoch Times newspaper reporter, "People who receive similar phone calls must record the time, content of the call, and the telephone number; these are important evidence."

(Clearwisdom.net) On the 1st of February, Falun Gong practitioners from the Czech Republic visited the city of Zlin and held an activity in the Square of Peace. Falun Gong music accompanied the sunshine and gentle snow spreading over the square as practitioners demonstrated the exercises. Many people in Zlin were interested in learning to practise Falun Gong.

People passing the posters outlining the persecution against Falun Gong in China and the torture methods used to force practitioners to renounce their beliefs often stopped to read them all. One elderly man read the posters and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution before approaching practitioners to tell them that about the importance of what they are doing. A lady who read the posters said, "In a totalitarian regime, even people who didn't do anything bad are being jailed. They were just telling the truth."

Meditation on the square: For several hours on Tuesday, a group of people were on the Square of Peace in Zlin performing the ancient Chinese meditative exercises of Falun Gong. The posters and boards displayed in front of them informed the public about human rights abuses in China. "Tens of thousands of practitioners were sent to prison where they were tortured just because they would not give up their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance," explained one participant in this event.

Zlin • For six hours today, in snow and freezing weather, practitioners of Falun Gong demonstrated the five exercises on the Square of Peace in Zlin. They were raising awareness of the persecution against Falun Gong in China.

"Six years ago, former Chinese President Jiang Zemin banned the Falun Gong practice in China. At that time, he was the leader of China and he instigated the persecution against its practitioners," said the organiser of this event.

According to him, Falun Gong is an ancient practice for improving mind and body with many practitioners from all walks of life and different ages around the world. "We try to live altruistic and harmonious lives, which is in line with the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."

He added that in the Czech Republic there are over fifty practitioners. "An Important part of Falun Gong is the set of five exercises which helps to improve health, relieves stress and opens energy channels in the body. These exercises are suitable for everybody, no matter what their ages are. Many people have already found that this practice brings good results with regard to improving health," he said.

This practice was introduced to China in 1992 by Chinese citizen Li Hongzhi. Nowadays, there are over 100 million people from different parts of the world practising it.

"It is not a religion and there are no rituals in Falun Gong; we have no political ambitions or membership structures in this practice. All activities are done by volunteers and are free." He added that the Chinese authorities felt uncomfortable when they found out the popularity of Falun Gong in China had exceeded the popularity of the Chinese Communist Party.

Citizens of Znojmo who were passing by supported these activities by signing the petition calling for an end to this persecution. "During the first two hours about sixty people signed the petition," noted the organiser of the protest.

(Clearwisdom.net) Around noon of February 7, 2005, about 50 Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners petitioned in front the China Liaison Office, requesting the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong, to release all jailed Falun Gong practitioners and to return Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners' travel documents.

Starting from the end of 1999, over 30 Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners had their travel documents to China confiscated because of appealing to the Chinese government, or visiting friends and relatives in China. Ms. Liu Yuling, who is now over 60 years old, talked about her own experiences. In November 1999, she and a few other practitioners went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was deported but her travel document was not confiscated at that time. In 2000, Ms. Liu went back to Beijing. On January 15, 2000, she was arrested because of practicing Falun Gong in a park. Liu Yuling was deported again and her travel document was confiscated. Since then, she has not been able to go back to her hometown of Beijing. Ms. Liu said she was upset about this. She believes that traveling to one's hometown is a basic right of Hong Kong residents, but she was illegally deprived of this right by Jiang's Communist Regime.

A few dozen practitioners held a peaceful sitting protest outside of the building; some practitioners unfurled a banner and read an open letter near the gate of the China Liaison Office. The letter requested the Chinese government to stop Jiang and his followers' persecution of Falun Gong immediately, release all jailed Falun Gong practitioners, and bring the responsible people who initiated and perpetrate the persecution to justice. The Falun Gong practitioners stated that illegally depriving the travel rights of Hong Kong residents severely tramples human rights, and they hoped that society would become aware of the issue and help. Practitioners pointed out that there were over 1,353 Falun Gong practitioners persecuted to death during the over 5-year-long suppression. There are still thousands of practitioners illegally jailed in prisons and forced labor camps, including four Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioners called on the Chinese government to divest themselves of the control of an evil faction and to choose a bright future along with other people of conscience.

(Clearwisdom.net) On February 5, 2005, as the Lunar New Year was approaching, a Chinese New Year celebration was held on the Chinese quarter in the West Edmonton Mall, one of the largest indoor shopping malls in the world, in the City of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Happily learning the truth about Falun Dafa

During the morning of February 6, 2005, about 80 Falun Gong practitioners from Ilan County gathered at Ilan City's Yundong (sports) Park to practice the exercises, study the Fa, and send forth righteous thoughts. Practitioners included young children and 80 year-old elders, along with practitioners who work in the fields of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce. The end of lunar year this symbolizes discarding the old and ushering in the new. Practitioners practiced the exercises together and shared experiences, discussed shortcomings in our cultivation practice in the previous year, and encouraged each other to be more diligent in the New Year.

Practitioners studied Master's latest new articles, and shared understandings of what Master talks about in his Fa lectures regarding vigorously clarifying the persecution of Falun Gong. We also shared our recent cultivation experiences.

Mr. Chen is a dentist. He expressed that many practitioners in Ilan County were not physically healthy before practicing Falun Gong. For example, Madame Zheng and Miss Yu who suffered from migraines, Mr. Chen had heart disease, Mr. Huang, a teacher, suffered from tracheitis, Ms. Zhuo suffered shoulder and neck aches, and Mr. Chen had blurry vision, etc. After practicing Falun Gong, their health noticeably improved.

Mr. Chen said that many practitioners experienced improvement in their physical and mental health after practicing Falun Gong. They became more considerate of others, their families became harmonious, and their work performance is now outstanding. As they benefited significantly, many practitioners have taken part in activities to introduce Falun Dafa to others, and hope that more people learn about the facts of Jiang's slanderous framing and persecution of Falun Gong.

I am 42 years old. Before learning Falun Dafa I suffered from severe arthritis. My situation did not improve even though I tried all sorts of Chinese and Western medicines. One of my relatives also suffered from the same type of arthritis. She told me that she had been treated in several large hospitals in Shanghai, Beijing and other big cities. It cost her over twenty thousand yuan, but her condition did not improve at all. She told me that, since I was from the countryside I could not afford the medical expenses and, even if I could, it would be useless.

So I struggled amid the discomfort and pain every day. I could not even walk to the restroom without holding on to my husband or son. When they were not at home, I could hardly take care of myself. My hands hurt so much that I had to move little by little just to get off the bed. I was not able to squat down in the restroom. (In some areas in China, the toilet is built into the ground and one squats across it.) I often burst into tears because of pain. With all this suffering, I felt time passing by very slowly, and every day seemed like a year. Just as I had lost hope in my life, I encountered Falun Dafa.

I heard that many new Falun Gong students in our village had regained their health miraculously. Considering the enormous suffering I had been through, I thought that, with help from Falun Dafa practitioners, perhaps I could give it a try.

I started practicing Falun Dafa at the beginning of August 2004. In the very first few days I started to feel that I was getting better. To do the exercises, the other practitioners had to hold me. In the lotus position with my legs crossed, I was able to sit through the entire session despite the pain. After each session of the exercises, both of my hands felt like they were being gently washed in water. As I had plenty of time, I studied the Fa day and night. I recited the Fa before going to sleep. As time went by, my health improved. I have fully regained my health in less than six months. The pain and misery has vanished forever, and joy has returned to my family and relatives.

When I appeared so full of energy, my fellow villagers were able to witness the wonders of Falun Dafa. My recovery not only amazed them but also enabled them to recognize the lies spread by the state-run media. Many have since obtained the Fa. More and more new students have experienced miraculous recoveries, which in turn have attracted even more students.

Having gained a new life, I want to express my gratitude to our great Teacher whose compassion is boundless. I will continue practicing Falun Dafa for the rest of my life.

Greetings Master! Greetings fellow Falun Dafa practitioners!

After I graduated from college, I became a teacher. Under the pressure of my busy teaching schedule, my health became increasingly worse. I initially felt uneasy with my stomach. Later, I developed many illnesses, including gastritis, gastric ulcer, chest congestion, coughing, pulmonary tuberculosis, colds and chronic illness, bronchitis, fear of cold, palpitations, cold sweats, insomnia, and lack of kidney vitality. Although I was about 6 feet in height, I weighed less than 110 lbs. It became routine for me to see doctors, and they were perplexed with my illnesses. I ate food only to help take medicine. I became so weak and emaciated that I had to quit the job I loved, teaching, and stayed home to try to recover from my illnesses.

At the end of March 2001, I was extremely weak. Later, when I saw Dr. Chen, who practices traditional Chinese medicine, he suggested I go to the auditorium to practice Falun Gong and see if Falun Gong could help me. While talking, he took out a copy of Falun Dafa material and the book Zhuan Falun. I then started to read attentively. In less than three minutes, a miracle happened. I hiccupped, loud and clear. Dr. Chen immediately said that the condition was rectified, as he had treated me with acupuncture and medicine in order to make me hiccup. I indeed felt very good after I hiccupped. So I immediately said that I would practice Falun Gong. Just as Master has lectured in Zhuan Falun,

"When one's Buddha-nature emerges, it will shake 'the world of ten directions.' Whoever sees it will come to give a hand and help this person out unconditionally." (Zhuan Falun)

Since then, my conditions have completely changed.

The more I read Zhuan Falun, the more I wanted to keep reading, so I finished reading the book in just one day. While reading, I had experienced a peaceful and serene state that I had never experienced before. Sometimes, a warm current came down from the top of my head all over my body, and my body became slightly warmer and was enveloped by an energy field. I felt very wonderous, surprised, and comfortable. Master said in Zhuan Falun,

"I will purify your body. The body purification will be done only for those who come to truly learn the practice and the Fa." (Zhuan Falun)

I suddenly came to realize that Falun Gong is what I had been looking for in my life, and I wanted to practice. I realized that in the troubled times of the Dharma-ending Period, when people's mind natures and morality are in widespread decline, there is still someone spreading such a good and great way of cultivation. I made my determination to cultivate Falun Dafa and follow Master.

Once I started to practice, I immediately experienced the removal of my sickness karma. I started to have a high fever, felt cold one minute and hot the next, had continuous diarrhea, kept hiccupping, and felt pain all over my body. This state repeated itself every two or three days. But I was very determined in my cultivation. I went to the practice site every day, as I knew that Master was eliminating my karma and removing the karma I had accumulated through many of my generations. I also came to understand the principle that a thing will develop in the opposite direction when it reaches the extreme. I had to get through the tribulation. The nearly 20 years of my illnesses had tormented me and made me extremely thin and emaciated, but once I attained Dafa, all my illnesses disappeared, and I have thus not needed hospital visits, which is no less than a fairy tale in the human world.

Whenever it was time for me to go to the practice site, I met extremely severe interference, with thoughts in my mind that I should take a rest and do the practice tomorrow. However, every time I used my strong righteous thoughts to encourage myself to go to practice. As a matter of fact, the energy at the practice site was indeed great, and the fellow practitioners cared about each other, so we improved ourselves together. It was worthwhile mentioning that one time when I was practicing the sitting meditation exercise, I felt very comfortable and I could not move at all. Half an hour later, my body started to bounce and move upward and I felt that I would levitate. I knew that Master was opening my heavenly circuit. Master said in Zhuan Falun,

"In the past, you would be tired if you walked a few steps, but now it is very easy no matter how far you walk. You feel as if being pushed while riding a bike, and you are not tired when going upstairs--no matter how many floors there are." (Zhuan Falun)

Since then, I have had a rosy complexion, and a smile is always on my face. I have also gained weight. All the people who know me say that I have become a different person after practicing Falun Gong. I threw away all my medicine, which was everywhere in my house. I felt as if I was reborn. Master has picked me up from hell.

During my initial readings, I felt that Zhuan Falun directly targeted my mind and revealed all the heavenly secrets of cultivation practice. Master said in Zhuan Falun,

"The above are the two reasons for not being able to increase gong. Without knowing the Fa at high levels, one cannot practice cultivation. Without cultivating one's inner self and one's xinxing, one cannot increase gong. These are the two reasons." (Zhuan Falun)

After I read Zhuan Falun three times, I could not stop reading the book, as the Fa principles are broad, immense, and profound. I thought that I ought to read the book fifty times. After I read the book 50 times, I thought that if I read the book 1,000 times, I would naturally be able to remember the Fa and recite the Fa from memory, and in this case, I would be able to keep assimilating myself into the Fa at all times. So I kept studying the Fa. I could finish reading Zhuan Falun once every three to four days. I read the book this way for two years. When I became a little slack, I always felt that there was some kind of force from the universe that urged me to study the Fa. Later, through learning from Zhuan Falun and the other Fa that Master lectured on in difference places, I had deepened my understanding of cultivation and Fa-rectification, which had laid the foundation for my validating the Fa and clarifying the truth.

That special and wonderful feeling of melting into the Fa is beyond description. That peacefulness I experience is like blissful emptiness, with nothing existing, and there is only the Fa that is with me. I experienced the state whenever I was driving, walking, working, etc. A big paragraph of the Fa flowed naturally into my dimensions, and did not vanish for a long time. I felt that Master was by me and benevolently protecting and guiding me. One time, as I read the Fa late one quiet night, I could not help asking in my own dimension that since the doctor had given me up due to my serious illness and my life being in peril, why would you still want me. There was a voice coming from the other side, "You want to cultivate, so I will take care of you." That voice came from far to the near, in stereo sound, going through layer upon layer, compassionate, determined, and forceful. I was deeply moved and knew what I should do.

The more Fa principles that I assimilated, the less the bad human thoughts I had. Having benefited from learning the Fa, I had undergone an earth-shaking change. I also hoped that my relatives and friends could attain the Fa and come to feel Master's immense compassion. I then went everywhere to promote the Fa, telling people "Falun Dafa is great" and "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance is great." At the same time, I thought that any place I could go by car in Taiwan, as long as someone wanted me to share my cultivation experiences, understandings, and the changes that I had experienced after practicing Falun Gong, I would certainly be happy to do so. So I sent forth this one pure thought. Possibly because of Master's arrangements, there were many fellow practitioners from Ilan, Taipei, and Hsinchu, as well as from Yunlin and Chiayi, who asked me to share my cultivation experience with them, as my body is the best and living example that can help promote Dafa. Before I practiced Falun Gong, I had almost no energy, and my life was in peril. After practicing Falun Gong, my whole body and mind changed. So my promoting the Fa was very convincing. In that period of time, I received phone calls from fellow practitioners asking me to go promote the Fa. I was also very happy to continuously do so. When I shared my cultivation experience with fellow practitioners, I always emphasized the importance of continuously studying the Fa, because it is Dafa that has improved my enlightenment quality and my xinxing. I thus hoped that the fellow practitioners would pay attention to Fa study, set up more sites for Fa study, and really improve themselves in their understanding of the Fa. I also stressed that we should view the matter of Fa study as being more important than practicing the exercises, although the latter is still very important. Of course there are moral standards required by Falun Dafa. We all are the dear ones of Master, and Master told us that he does not want to leave behind even one Dafa disciple. So how could I leave behind the follow practitioners near me? We are one entity.

"Buddha's light shines everywhere, propriety and righteousness harmonize everything" • Dafa lights up my family.

Since I greatly benefited from Dafa both physically and spiritually, naturally I wanted my family members to obtain the Fa. I kept telling my wife how great Falun Dafa is, and she agreed, but she did not read the book. It seemed that her karmic relationship was not strong enough yet, so I continued to work with her. My wife is very gentle and nice, a kind-hearted person among everyday people. Others often took advantage of her kindness. In today's world, everyone is trying to be "clever," so as not to lose any personal benefits. At her work, some people often spread rumors about her. Since she is not so skilled at social networking, her reputation was smeared quite badly.

Master told us in Zhuan Falun:

"Because he is smart and knows how to please others, he will gain more benefits while others will suffer more losses. Because he is smart, he will not suffer any losses, and neither will he easily lose anything. Consequently, others must suffer losses." (Zhuan Falun)

Occasionally my wife complained to me about her problems at work. I tried to guide her with the Fa, telling her about the transformation between virtue and karma. I explained to her that when people smeared her, they only gained temporary benefits, and losing virtue is their real loss. I told my wife the rule of "good will be rewarded and evil will suffer retribution," telling her how today's people have abandoned their nature and don't realize they are doing bad things. Eventually, the Fa deeply touched her heart. In addition, she witnessed the power of Dafa from changes in me. I became a nicer and more honest person. Previously I paid attention to material interests and fame, but now I could let them go without a care. Because of these things, the atmosphere in our family and around us became much more harmonious. Eventually she obtained the Fa, and our two children followed us in studying the Fa and doing the exercises. Soon my mother also obtained Dafa, and all the diseases she suffered disappeared.

I actively participated in clarifying the truth about Dafa to people. At first, people on the internet refused to listen to me, even cursing me and Dafa. It was quite frustrating for me. Later, I understood from the Fa that we need to have benevolence that can melt steel. They are ordinary people deceived by lies. They are people waiting to be saved. Where are their positions in the future if they are against "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?"

I told people on the Internet that though we don't have the karmic relationship to meet each other in person, I still sincerely hope they could learn the truth. Master told us:

"I often say that if all a person wants is the well-being of others and if this is without the slightest personal motivation or personal understanding, what he says will move the listener to tears." (Essentials for Further Advancement)

When I clarified the truth with rationality and wisdom, the effect became better and better. I clarified the truth in an easy tone, using supporting facts to tell people through the Internet how Jiang's regime always lied and spread unjustified hatred against Falun Gong. Gradually people were willing to listen and ask questions. Many people asked me for truth-clarifying information. I intensified my Fa study at the same time, because Master told us:

"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." (Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Gradually people accepted my truth clarification, and many college students became suspect of any propaganda by Jiang's regime. They spread the truth over the Internet to their friends and families about how Falun Gong was persecuted and slandered. More and more people woke up and recognized that Jiang's regime lied and wasted the nation's resources to persecute kind Falun Gong practitioners.

During this process, I realized we should not talk about the Fa at a very high level. Rather, we should rationally and carefully clarify the facts. It is easier for people to accept it this way. Once people support Falun Gong, they have made a choice of a better future for themselves. I have continued to clarify the truth like this, even though I encountered very evil people who followed the evil propaganda completely and refused to listen, but they are a very small portion. Most were shocked by Falun Gong practitioners' courage once they learned the truth. They said to me, "You are great. You clarified the truth very clearly and logically." Some people asked how they could help. Many spread the truth they learned to family members and friends in their schools and organizations. Many started doubting the government propaganda and tried all kinds of ways to break the Internet blockade to learn the truth directly. Today's situation is dramatically different than before. The side of people that understands has started to wake up.

Though the situation is better and better, I feel that we should not slow down in clarifying the truth. Master said,

"I've said that human beings in today's world didn't come to be humans. But not all of them came to become Buddhas, Daos and Gods, either. That is to say that not all of them came to cultivate. But all of them came for the sake of Dafa, were formed by Dafa, and were created by Dafa. They play both positive and negative roles." We are all Master's families, though some of us lost our true nature. What we need is to wake up our true consciences and souls, and fulfill our prehistoric vows in the meantime.

Ms. Gao from the Guandu District disappeared around October 2004. It was learned in December 2004 that she was abducted and sent to Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp to serve a three-year term. Mr. Ye Baofu, and Ms. Yang Mingqing from the Forestry System and their daughter Ye Mao were secretly arrested around January 11, 2005. There is no news on them at present.

Ms. Xu Yan was arrested again recently because she clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to people.

At noon on October 10, 2004, a meeting was held in the Brigade 4 of the Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp. During the meeting, officials declared, "The labor camp is going to enforce its rules." They forced practitioners to read the jail rules, threatening that they would be tortured in the water room if they did not.

Some practitioners were tortured until their bodies were full of injuries. Practitioners tortured include: Yao Shiguo, An Tongxiu, Gao Jizhu, Chang Yongfu, Wang Shiwei, Li Chunlin, Kou Fangqi, Sun Rong, and He Qinghui. Among them, He Qinghui was beaten up until he passed out and was sent to a hospital. He is still in a coma. Others were tortured until they were unable to walk.

The guards do not allow practitioners to say anything on visiting day. Family members are forced to leave their items and then depart immediately. Mr. Xu Zhenfeng's term was completed over ten days ago, but he is still being detained. It's also been learned that He Qinghui's brain was badly injured from the beating.

Those who beat practitioners are: Yang Wei, Chen Shangang, Liu Ye, Guo Lei, Zhou Xutao, Zhong Xiaotao, Pang Haifeng, Zhang Hongcai, He Wei, Wu Zuowei, and Li Changhong.

The administration office pretended to investigate those who beat the practitioners, but they actually did nothing. The resident procurator at the labor camp inquired about the issue but also did nothing.

Ms. Li Shiying from the Fengtai District lives in the Nanyuan Airport Apartment Building. In November 2004, she was arrested while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to people and was badly tortured. She is now sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp and has been sent to the Daxin Women's Forced Labor Camp in Beijing.

On November 27, 2004, 61-year-old Ms. Liu was arrested while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to people in a park. Police searched her home and sent her to the Cuiping District Detention Center in Yibin City. On December 30, the Cuiping District Procurator issued an arrest warrant for Ms. Liu.

Due to our limited resources, we cannot upload pictures showing the actual torture. The following is a written description:

"Su-Qing-Bei-Jian" is a torture method as shown in above drawing. Literally, this word means "Su-Qing (an ancient swordsman) puts his sword on the back." A person's hands are handcuffed behind the back with one hand crossed over a shoulder. It causes extreme pain. However, guards in the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp think it's not cruel enough. They have used the following modifications to make it even more painful for the detained women Falun Gong practitioners.

1. Officers tie a towel to the handcuffs, pull the practitioners up with the towel, and hang them on the upper level of the handrail on a bunk bed. It causes extreme pain, difficulty in breathing, and fainting.
2. Officers push the practitioner facedown onto a small stool to add pain and make it very hard for them to breathe.

Police officers involved are Yu Qinghua (Squadron Commander) and Chen Liqiong (Assistant Squadron Commander).

Ms. Wang Ping is a resident of Wangjiazhuang Village, Wubei Township, Laixi City. On the evening of June 10, 2004, Ms. Wang, her husband Wang Dexiang, Ms. Li Meizhi, and Ms. Ding Yonghong were watching a Falun Gong truth-clarification video. The four were arrested by eight police officers led by deputy director Geng Bingsheng and Li Yanxin of the Wubei Police Station. Ms. Wang's home was also illegally searched. Ding Yonghong and Wang Dexiang were released one day later. However, police officers forced Wang Dexiang to have his picture taken sitting in front of his TV, took fingerprints, and made him write guarantees to renounce Falun Gong. Li Meizhi was detained for two weeks at the Laixi Detention Center and another month at the Xinzhuang Brainwashing Center in Wangcheng. Ms. Wang Ping was sent to a forced labor camp and is still being detained.

Fifty-year-old Ms. Zhen Xiujuan is a resident of No.31-30 Laobaonan Street in the Linhe District of Jinzhou City. At about 3 p.m. on January 21, 2005, Ms. Zhen tried to clarify the truth of Falun Gong to a young man at the Jinzhou Railway Station. The man shouted and drew transportation police officers over. Ms. Zhen was arrested and sent to the Jinzhou City No. 2 Detention Center. At 10 p.m. on the same day, officers searched her home.

Near the end of 2004, 84-year-old Ms. Zeng Zhaoyu and her daughter Ms. Song Jinxiu, 62, and son-in-law Feng Fayi, 63, moved back to their hometown in Huangpi County. However, police officers from the Huangpi County Political and Security Brigade frequently harassed them at their home and took away their Falun Dafa books, Teacher's photos, and other materials. On January 20, 2005, Ms. Song Jinxiu was tricked into leaving her home and was arrested by police officers. She is being detained at the Dongxihu Women's Detention Center for 15 days.

On the evening of January 26, 2005, a group of police officers from Daan City broke in to Ms. Zou Yuxia's home and arrested her and her husband. Ms. Gao Guiling and another female practitioner were also arrested around that time. They were arrested because they took a taxi to the countryside to deliver Falun Dafa truth materials a few days ago.

On January 16, 2005, Mr. Ma and Mr. Deng went to the Worker's Cultural Palace to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to people. Officers from the Chengnan Police Station, who were lead by head officer Liu, arrested them.

At about 8 p.m. on September 20, 2004, a group of 55 police officers led by the Dingcheng District 610 Office arrested Ms. Xiong Yulan, Ms. Zhang Cuiying, Mr. Su Yongneng, Mr. Liu Jinyun, Ms. Yuan Youzhi, and Ms. Zhen. The purpose of the arrest was to find out the location of a Falun Dafa material production site. The six are being detained separately at different detention centers in Changde City.

According to reliable sources, officers from the 610 Office have trained officers to pretend to be Falun Dafa practitioners in chat rooms and send emails to genuine practitioners in order to find out who is in contact with Clearwisdom.net (www.minghui.ca is the Chinese counterpart).

Right after July 1999 in Beijing, police officers also pretended to be practitioners, carrying the book Zhuan Falun in their hands as they walked through the parks. They tried to lure genuine practitioners from other areas so that they could arrest them.

Forty-five-year-old Mr. Zhao Hongwei is a resident of Dongjing Village, Huangshan Office, Zouping County. Since he clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to people, he was arrested on January 27, 2005. He is still being detained at the Zouping Detention Center.

On the morning of January 5, 2005, Ms. Sun Tianyun went to a bazaar with a bag in her hand. Two local police officers searched her bag and found two Falun Dafa books. The officers instantly handcuffed her and searched her home. A neighbor saw the arrest and warned practitioner Ms. Song Xiangmu, but Ms. Song's home was also searched.

Ms. Sun was detained for two days. Police extorted 20,000 yuan from Ms. Sun's family before releasing her.

In October 2004, Changning District officers detained Ms. Zhang Shuying from the Yangpu District while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people in the Changning District. She has now been sentenced to one and a half years in jail for "disturbing the stability of society" and no family visits are allowed.

Ms. Xuan Enfeng is a resident of Xiliang Village, Xinzhuang Township, Zhaoyuan City. She started practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. Since December 1999, she has gone to Beijing to appeal four times and was arrested three times. The former deputy township head Li Shumei and officer Ding Fuzhai from Xinzhuang Township have persecuted her. After about nine months of detention, Ms. Xuan was later sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. After Ms. Xuan was arrested, her home was searched three times. Xuan's son Cao Jincai was 20 years old. While Ms. Xuan was detained, the local government did not allow Jincai to visit his mother. They also harassed him many times, which affected him mentally. Local officers witnessed this. Due to the abuse, Cao Jincai suffered from melancholia and died on May 27, 2003.

1. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Wang Yanling Stages a Hunger Strike to Protest Persecution; Her Life is now in Peril

Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Yanling from Zhengzhou City is 34 years old. By the end of September 2004, Li Xinjian, chief of National Security Section of Jinshui District's Police Department, arrested her and her husband Wan Zhong who is also a Falun Dafa practitioner, with the excuse of finding some so-called evidence. Right now they are being held at Zhengzhou City's Detention Center. Wang Yanling has staged a hunger strike lasting for over three months to protest the persecution. Her life is now in peril.

2. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Liu Junhua and Hu Jianying Sentenced to Forced Labor for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

On November 23, 2004, Ms. Liu Junhua, a retired doctor from Nanchong City's Oil College and Ms. Hu Jianying, a retired senior engineer from Nanchong City's Agricultural Research Institute were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials in Pingtan Township, Yuechi County, Guang'an City. They are now being held at Yuechi County's Detention Center. Hu Jianying was sentenced to two years of forced labor.

It has recently been discovered that Liu Junhua was sentenced to three years of forced labor. As she insisted to do the Falun Gong exercises, the guards tied a metal object weighing 35 kilograms to her feet and a metal object weighing 15 kilograms to her hands. She has lost a lot of weight due to torture.

According to the latest information, Liu Junhua was transferred to the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp for staging a hunger strike (for ten days to date) but was not accepted as she failed to pass the physical exam. She was sent back to Yuechi County. Personnel from Yuechi County's Police Department have now filed an application for her to absolve her sentence outside of the labor camp and are awaiting a decision from Guang'an City's Forced Labor Committee or from the 610 Office.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Cui Rongxue Sent to a Brainwashing Class

Ms. Cui Rongxue from Changchun City was arrested at work and sent to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Class. In November 2004, Public Security Section chief Chi and Organization Section chief Zhang urged Cui Rongxue to sign the so-called "Five Statements" (see Three Statements) and claimed she would be sent to a brainwashing class should she refuse to sign. On the morning of January 11, 2005, they sent Cui Rongxue away after she rejected their demands a number of times.

4. [Tianjin] Dongli District Police Arrest Six Dafa Practitioners

On the morning of January 17, 2005, personnel from Dongli District's Police Department collaborated with Xiqing District's National Security Police and arrested more than ten Dafa practitioners from the Dongli District. Six of them are still detained: Ms. Wu Xiulan and Ms. Zhao Xuemin are held at Tianjin Police Department's Detention Center; Ms. Yang Yuting, Ms. Zhang Zhihong, Ms. Zhang Xiujuan, and Ms. Song Yuling are being held at Dongli Police Department's Detention Center. Yang Yuting and Zhang Xiujuan have been staging a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

5. [Minquan County, Henan Province] Li Wende and Four Practitioners in His Family Sentenced to Forced Labor for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Flyers

Mr. Li Wende, 54 years old, is a peasant from Jiucaili Village, Shuangta Township, Minquan County. After July 20, 1999 he was sentenced to three years of forced labor. He persisted in practicing Falun Dafa after his release.

One day in the fall of 2004, Li Wende together with his wife, two sisters and a brother-in-law (about 44 years old, a peasant from Guotang Village, Shuangta Township) drove to the Yejigang Township market where the township government is located, to clarify the truth to the public. As there was a fair, there were a great number of people there. Each of them stood on a road leading to the township and distributed truth-clarifying materials to people. Police arrested all five of them. Li Wende was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and the four others were sentenced to one year of forced labor.

6. [Jiaonan City, Shandong Province] Cheng Peizhen Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

On January 27, 2005, personnel from Langya Town's Police Precinct arrested practitioner Ms. Cheng Peizhen, a senior practitioner from Boli Town, Jiaonan City, Shandong Province, while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials.

7. [Yongzhou, Hunan Province] Tang Yu Sentenced to Two Years in Prison for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

Mr. Tang Yu from Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, 24 years old, worked temporarily at a Sino-foreign company in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. On February 17, 2004, he was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials and was sentenced to two years of imprisonment. At present, he is being held in the affiliated team of the No. 4 Division at Shiliping Forced Labor Camp, Longyou County, Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

8. [Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province] Xue Yan Sentenced to Six Years in Prison

Ms. Xue Yan, a former legal columnist/reporter for Yan'an City's TV station, was put into detention in 2001 for one and a half years for practicing Falun Gong. Shortly after she was released back home in 2002, personnel from the city's 610 Office fabricated a charge and sentenced her to six years of imprisonment. She is currently being held at Shaanxi Province's Female Prison.

9. [Pingchang County, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Lu Chunshan Sentenced to Three Years of Forced Labor

On the morning of January 13, 2005, personnel from the 610 Office, the police department and State Security Department for Pingchang County arrested Mr. Lu Chunshan and sentenced him to three years of forced labor on January 26. At 5:00 a.m. on January 27 they sent him to Mianyang City's Xinhua Prison. So far the family has not received a court verdict. Without presenting a search warrant, the police even ransacked his home.

10. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Zou Wen'e Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

On January 24, 2005, practitioner Ms. Zou Wen'e from Guangzhou City was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials in the Tianhe District, Guangzhou City. The current circumstances are unknown.

11. [Pingyuan County, Shandong Province] Police Abduct Li Jinghai and Three Other Practitioners and Extort Money from Their Families

On December 26, 2004, the authorities ransacked practitioner Mr. Liu Zhiyong's home and took him and his wife away. These lawless persons worked in collusion with personnel from Encheng Town's Police Precinct, Zhang Zhenyi and Li Feng from the Political Security Section of Pingyuan County's Police Department. On December 28, they rampaged through Li Jinghai, Li Denggui and Li Lingxian's homes and took them to Encheng Town's Police Precinct. Li Lingxian was bailed out after Li Lingxian's family member (not a practitioner) paid a 4,000-yuan fine. Liu Zhiyong, Li Denggui and Li Jinghai were put into the county's detention center. Li Jinghai and Liu Zhiyong went on a hunger strike to protest. Personnel from the Political & Security Section called their homes to extort money from their families. Li Denggui's family paid more than 1,500 yuan. Afterwards, the two Dafa practitioners who were held for eight days were released.

These four practitioners, Li Jinghai, Li Denggui, Liu Zhiyong and Li Lingxian, have been severely persecuted. Li Jinghai, in his 60s, from Wangboquan Village, Wangguopu Town, has been arrested many times. As he was being forced into the police car, Li Jinghai called out loudly, "Falun Dafa is good!" He always protested his illegal detention with a hunger strike.

Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. 1. Zhang Yuhua of Nanjing Normal University Is Jailed in Nanjing Women's Prison

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Yuhua is in her 40s, holds a Master's degree, and used to be the Russian Language Department Chair at the Nanjing Normal University, before losing her freedom. Her husband used to attend a university in Beijing. She raised their son (Zhuge Fan, about 10 years old) by herself, participated in group Fa-studies, diligently involved in group practice, and did an excellent job in her work by being carefully prepared for every class. After July 20, 1999, Ms. Zhang Yuhua was detained after she went to the provincial government to appeal alone. Her husband could not endure the hardship of the persecution and divorced her. Her ex-husband now has custody of her son. She is currently jailed in the Fifth Ward of the Nanjing Women's Prison. Her physical condition is poor.

2. Persecution Facts in Jiamisi Labor Camp

My name is Li Sumei and I live in Nanshan District, Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province. I was sentenced to a labor camp in 2003, and held in the Jiamusi Labor Camp where I was kicked, beaten, pushed onto the floor, and they shaved off a section of hair on top of my head to humiliate me. In August 2003, I was forced to sit on a small stool for an entire month, because I refused to write weekly journals. This physical torture resulted in my legs below the knees becoming freezing cold, numb, and in extreme pain due to a lack of circulation. In February 2004, I was forced to sit on the small stool for a whole month again, however, this time my whole body was in pain. On September 21, 2003, police Jiang Jia-nan (male) slapped my face five times. On October 5, 2003, police Guo Qinhui (female) tried to force me to re-write my weekly journal, but I refused. She slapped my face with a book ten times. On February 11, 2004, I was forced to sit on a small stool again, because I refused to shout slogans that defamed Falun Dafa. On February 20, 2004, police Wang Tiejun (male) and Sun Limin (female) threw me onto the floor, and beat me with riot batons. My chest was covered with bruises. Then they handcuffed me behind my back, and shocked me on my head five minutes with a 300 thousand volt electric baton. My brain was shocked; I lost bladder control and now I cannot see clearly.

3. Villains in Shuanghou Town, Yi-nan County, Shandong Province Mistreat Ms. Liu Naizhi's Family

Ms. Liu Naizhi's family practices Falun Dafa. On July 21, 1999, Ms. Liu Naizhi and her brothers (one older, one younger) went to Beijing to appeal, and were arrested and returned to their local police substation. In December 1999, her mother Xu Guanglan took the three children to Tiananmen to appeal again. They were arrested and detained in one of the Beijing police stations. Policemen Yu Houping (male) and Gao Hongbin (male) went to Beijing to pick them up, and beat them brutally. Upon arrival in Yi-nan County, Xu Guanglan (the mother) was forced into a hospital where she was injected with unknown drugs. She died two days later at home. In July 2000, authorities in Shuanghou Town tricked Ms. Liu Naizhi and eight other Falun Dafa practitioners into going to a brainwashing class. On January 9, 2001, police arrested Ms. Liu's younger brother from his home, secretly sentenced him to three years in a labor camp, and secretly transferred him to the Wangcun Labor Camp in Zibo City.

4. Persecution Facts in Liangxinpu Town, Junshan District, Hunan Province

Ms. Xu Qin is 37 years old. She was abducted several times in May 2000 because she was involved in Falun Dafa volunteer work. She was detained for forty-seven days in the Ningxiang County Detention Center, and then sentenced to eighteen months in a labor camp, which she completed in the Baimalong Labor Camp located in Zhuzhou City. She has since become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home.

Mr. Yang Sishen is 65 years old. In October 2004, he was detained because he was clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa. He was sentenced to one year in a labor camp, first at the Junshan District Labor Camp, and then transferred to the Xinkaipu Labor Camp in Changsha City.

Ms. Dai Chunmei is 65 years old. She was arrested when clarifying the truth to her relatives in her hometown, and was sentenced to two years in prison. After she was detained one week, Ms. Dai became seriously sick, vomiting large amounts of blood. Police had to release her.

Mr. Hu Zhonghua (69 years old), Ms. Ma Xiaoying (72 years old), and Ms. Jiang Yinhua (36 years old), were all arrested and detained fifteen days in the Yueyang Detention Center. A fourteen-year-old boy, practitioner Wang Wang, was reported by his teacher in October 2004, when clarifying the truth at his school. He was not arrested, because of his young age, but is constantly harassed at home.

5. Lecturer Mr. Liu Mingpei from Xi'an Traffic and Transportation University Died as a Result of the Persecution

Mr. Liu Mingpei was thirty-one years old, and a lecturer in Xi'an Traffic and Transportation University. He started practicing Falun Dafa in August 1997. He was detained and tortured for two days by police at Tiananmen Square when he went to Beijing on a business trip. He was repeatedly harassed by police thereafter. He was arrested and taken to a brainwashing class in March 2002, where he was severely psychologically traumatized, causing a brain tumor. He died in February 2004, after an unsuccessful operation.

6. Old Sicknesses Return after Giving up Falun Dafa - Jiang's Regime Continues to Destroy Lives

Mr. Ren Haochun was 55 years old, and lived in Yizhuang Village, Yizhuang Township, Quzhou County, Hebei Province. He used to have heart disease, plus dizziness and paralysis on one side. All these were cured after practicing Falun Dafa. After the persecution began in 1999, he gave up cultivation, the old conditions returned and he died in February 2001.

Mr. Song Juanming was 60 years old, lived in Santa Village, Quzhou County, Handan City. He used to have a blood disease that required a complete blood transfusion every 40 days. This treatment was no longer necessary after he obtained the Fa in 1998, but after July 20, 1999, he could not bear the pressure from the government and from his family. His old sickness returned and he died soon thereafter.

Mr. Dai Jingxiu was 70 years old, lived in Luzhuang Village, Quzhou County, Handan City. He used to have cancer of the esophagus. After he obtained the Fa in 1998, he quickly recovered, such that he could eat normally, and looked very healthy with rosy cheeks. After the persecution began, he dared not to practice any more. His cancer returned, and he died in the fall of 2002.

Ms. Li Fuqin was 47 years old, lived in Dishang Village, Houchun Town, Quzhou County, Handan City. Before cultivating Falun Dafa, she had strokes, high blood pressure, etc. Soon after beginning to practice Falun Dafa in 1997, all her symptoms totally disappeared. She gave up the practice after July 20, 1999 when the severe pressure from the persecution started. Her old symptoms returned and she died in January 2000.

Mr. Li Junhai was 65 years old, lived in Dishang Village, Houchun Town, Quzhou County, Handan City. He was paralyzed on one side as the result of a stroke and suffered from high blood pressure, but totally recovered within a month after he started cultivation in Falun Dafa. After 1999 when Falun Dafa was persecuted, he dared not practice any more. His old conditions came back, and he died in March 2001.
