On December 28, 2004, the Dalian City Zhongshan District Court secretly sentenced Mr. Meng Lingtao from Dalian, Liaoning Province, to three years in prison. Mr. Meng, currently detained in Dalian Yaojia Prison, is appealing his case.

On the morning of January 11, 2005, a male practitioner in his twenties was distributing truth-clarification materials in a small residential area on Fujian Road in the Hexi District of Tianjin City. Someone reported him to the local police station and he was arrested.

Ms. Liu Shujuan from Yushu City was arrested by the Yushu City Police Department's National Security Brigade in April 2004. The police confiscated her household items and many Falun Gong books.

Mr. Guo Xiang and Mr. Li Wei from Beijing are currently imprisoned and being persecuted in Beijing's Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp's First Brigade.

In late October 2004, Ms. Yue Lanxiang, about 50 years old, was distributing truth-clarification materials in Song County. A police officer arrested her and took her to the Henan Province Song County Prison. Her relatives revealed her name to the police, who plan to sue her and sentence her to four or five years in prison.

In November 2004, four practitioners from Shenyang were arrested for telling people the facts about Falun Gong. They are Ms. Qin Cuixia, Ms. Ning Yuying, Zhang Wenhua, and Ms. Liu Lin, who is Mr. Liu Chengjun's sister. Ms. Liu Lin was arrested on November 17 and is still being held in the Liyi District Police Station in the Tongzhou District of Beijing.

Ms. Zhou Qiong, in her fifties, is from Lipu County, Guangxi Province. She was arrested in October 2004 for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at the county's "610 Office". She was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. She is detained at the Guangxi Nanning Women's Forced Labor Camp. This was her second illegal arrest.

Husband and wife practitioners Mr. Chen Qiji and Ms. Liu Yanhua both worked for a company in Sanju, Jingmen City, Hubei Province. They were sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2003 and 2004 for practicing Falun Gong. Chen Qiji is currently imprisoned in the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang, Jingmen City, Hubei Province. Li Yanhua is detained in the Hubei Wuhan Women's Prison.

Their 15-year-old son and 76-year-old mother have been left to take care of themselves and are living in poverty. Their phone number is 86-724-6693233.

On January 6, 2005, Mr. Li Qingfang from Tieling, Liaoning Province, was distributing truth-clarification materials near the Tianbao Commercial Area in Yinzhou District. The police arrested him, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

On January 8, 2005, officers from the Jiangdong Police Station in Tonghua City, Jilin Province, went to Mr. Yang Fujun's work place and arrested him. They sent him directly to the Changchun Zhaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp.

On the morning of January 12, 2005, practitioners Ms. Ma Yingzhi and Ma Xue from Banggouzi, Beining City, Liaoning Province, were distributing truth-clarification materials in Banggouzi. A policeman saw them and called other police officers over to take them to the Banggouzi Police Station. That afternoon Ma Yingzhi and Ma Xue were transferred to the Beining City Prison and abused.

Police arrested Mr. He Jianmin and Ms. Chu Shumin, husband and wife practitioners from the Daowai District in Harbin, on December 30, 2003. The Daowai District Police Station arrested one of them at work at the Harbin Pharmaceutical Company and the other at home on Nanping Street in the Daowai District. The Daowai District Court sentenced each of them to seven years in prison in June 2004 without legal reason or evidence. Their son He Chuan, a sophomore in the Electrical Engineering Department in the Heilongjiang University, is currently living with relatives.

Ms. Chu is currently imprisoned in Harbin Women's Prison while her husband Mr. He is detained in Hulan Prison.

At 9 p.m. on December 25, 2004, Ms. Xu Guangqin, Mr. Wang Xingkui, Ms. Yang Yumei, and other two practitioners who worked at the Qilu Petroleum Company in the Linzi District of Zibo City were arrested. All five are illegally imprisoned in Zibo Prison. The prison is asking each practitioner to pay 2,000 yuan.

About 7 p.m. on January 10, 2005, Ms. Ju Wenying, Zhang Ming, Xiao Zhang and Xiao Linzi from Shenyang City went to Pinglo, Shenyang, to distribute truth-clarification materials. The Pinglo Police arrested them.

After Zhou Xingchun started to practice Falun Gong in 1998, many of his illnesses were healed. He went to Beijing to validate the Fa in 2000 and was illegally imprisoned for a month. The second time Mr. Zhou went to Beijing, he was sent to the Hongxia Brainwashing Center. During his detention, Zhou once tried to stop someone from beating a fellow practitioner and was brutally beaten himself in the middle of the night. As a result, he became deaf in one ear and also lost a tooth. Zhou ended up going into shock and only regained consciousness after an emergency rescue.

On March 19, 2004, Mr. Zhou was again arrested at a food stand and subsequently imprisoned and tortured in Qingling Prison. The torture caused Zhou's heart condition to recur.
