Those Who Harm Falun Dafa Meet with Karmic Retribution

Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

The Case of Su Deying

Su Deying lives in the Baihua Community, Shuangnan Street Agency, in the Wuhou District of Chengdu City. She was hostile to Falun Dafa practitioners after being influenced by the propaganda from Jiang Zemin's regime. She even tracked practitioners and kept a watchful eye on them. In August 2003, Su reported practitioner Zhang Shiqing, who was distributing Falun Dafa truth clarification materials, to the Shuangnan Police Station. She obtained a reward of 500 yuan from the Party Committee of Shuangnan Street. Zhang Shiqing was illegally sent to a forced labor camp and sentenced to two and a half years by the Shuangnan Police Station and the City Public Security office. Zhang Shiqing has been tortured severely and is close to death.

Meanwhile, Su Deying not only obtained the reward money, but also ate out and celebrated her "victory" everywhere. However, as she ate heartily, a chicken bone got stuck in her throat, causing her to choke. She spent 3,000 yuan to have a surgery in the hospital. Soon after, Su Deying gained weight and became obese, and couldn't move due to the severe pain of an inflamed sciatic nerve. Currently, Su can't even take care of her daily needs.

Dong Tianyan, the Communist Party Secretary of the Athletic Department in Jilin Province, closely followed Jiang Zemin in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners in her workplace. She not only forced practitioners to give up their belief and write the "Five Statements" [similar to the "Three Statements"], but she also stopped practitioners' retirement pensions. Some practitioners were even compelled to become destitute and homeless because of her wicked acts. On January 5, 2005, Dong Tianyan was involved in a car accident while riding a motorcycle on Changbai Mountain, and died at the scene.

There was a business owner surnamed Sun, who was born in Zhejiang and lived in Changjiang Market in the Yiling Area of Yichang City, Hubei Province. He and his wife had an electrical appliance business. In January 2004, a local practitioner clarified the truth about the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident. However, the couple alerted the security department of Changjiang Market, causing this practitioner to be arrested and to suffer cruel persecution. The couple obtained an ill-gotten reward of 600 yuan for their action.

In April of 2004, their business caught on fire and the blaze spread from floor to floor. The family property, which the couple had accumulated over several years, was destroyed .
