(Clearwisdom.net ) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Guoxin from Hegang City in Heilongjiang Province was searched by the police at the Jiamusi Train Station in 2001. He then died as a result of persecution by police from the Jiamusi Railway Department after they found that he had Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials with him. Zhao Qian's mother, Wang Ying, 43, was an employee of the Xinhua Paper Factory in Hegang City. On November 23, 2001, the local police broke into her home, searched it, and took her away. They then detained her in Hegang City No. 2 Detention Center. At that time, Zhao Qian's father, Zhao Guoxin, had already died from being tortured. The then-14 year-old Zhao Qian had no one to look after her and had no money to make ends meet. She missed her parents so badly, but the police did not allow her to visit her mother.

Her mother, Wang Ying, was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment in 2002 and detained in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison in Harbin City to endure more persecution.
