School Teacher Ms. Li Jinmei from Shanxi Province and Senior Citizen Mr. Zhao Yupu from Heilongjiang Province Died As a Result of Persecution in 2002 and 2004

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Jinmei was a 57 year old English teacher at the Huozhou City No.2 Middle School in Shanxi Province. She used to have breast cancer but fully recovered after practicing Falun Dafa.

In the spring of 2001, Ms. Li went to Beijing to appeal. After being arrested she was taken home by the Huozhou City Police, then detained in Huozhou City Detention Center for one month and extorted out of five thousand yuan. Police continually harassed her on every holiday and during every festival. She died in September 2002 as a result of being continuously harassed and mistreated.

Mr. Zhao Yupu was 71 years old, a retired employee of Qituan Store, Zhaoguang Farm, Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province. He started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. All his diseases went away, and his family was very happy.

In May 2001, police officer Gong Xiaodong, along with others from the Zhaoguang Farm Police Station, arrested Mr. Zhao, ransacked his home, took away his Falun Dafa books, and sentenced him to 2 years in prison. They also extorted seven thousand yuan from him and stole many of his valuable belongings. Because of his advanced age, he was released on parole, but Mr. Zhao died on June 10, 2004 as a result of the constant police harassment.
