Russia: Collecting Petition Signatures in St. Petersburg to Call for an End to the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The weather was good in St. Petersburg on February 19, 2005. Russian practitioners gathered near the entrance to a subway station to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime. They also told people how Falun Dafa has spread throughout the world and is practiced by 100 million people.

Many passers-by asked what Falun Gong is. They were shocked when they found out about what is happening in China, and saw the pictures of Falun Gong practitioners tortured by the Chinese authorities. People found it incomprehensible that such a terrible thing could be happening in today's world. They were moved and signed a petition to call for an end to the human rights abuses in China.
