United Kingdom: The People of Bristol Call for Jiang to be Brought to Justice (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 29, 2005, British Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in the center of Bristol, the largest city in southwestern England, to promote Falun Gong and tell people about the persecution in China. Groups of pedestrians stopped to watch the exercise demonstration and read the posters detailing the violations of human rights happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China. Many people signed their names on a petition calling for Jiang Zemin, China's former leader and chief instigator of the genocide against Falun Gong, to be brought to justice in a court of law.

Prior to the event, practitioners explained the purpose of the activities to the Bristol local authorities and expressed their wish to help people understand more about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution. After the authorities listened to the situation and learned about Falun Gong, they gladly approved the activity.

Before this activity, practitioners had previously organized several events to promote Falun Gong in Bristol, so many people were already familiar with the practice. Some people came over to the information table to sign the petition and introduce Falun Gong to their friends. When a man saw the petition letter to bring Jiang Zemin to justice, he told his friends, "Look! It's him -- the most evil scoundrel, who carries out such a cruel persecution." Many passers-by walked by so quickly that they couldn't take in the contents of our exhibition, so practitioners gave them leaflets. Some people glanced at the leaflets and said, "It's Falun Gong. I know all about it." A family passed by the site, looking at exercise demonstration, and their children asked, "Is this Taichi? Their mother told them seriously, "No, guys, this is Falun Dafa."

When practitioners sent righteous thoughts at top of every hour, the number of passers-by who stopped to read the posters significantly increased. Many local residents asked for information about the local practice site. Several tourists also took down Falun Gong contact information in other cities. Practitioners were very pleased to see so many people get the opportunity to come to know Falun Dafa.
