Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Luan County, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Jiang Zemin severely persecutes Falun Gong practitioners because of his jealousy. Here are some facts regarding the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners:

Ms. Li Muzhen, 44, lived at Zhong Street, Ciyutuo Town in Luan County. After practicing Falun Gong, her heart, stomach, and pancreatic diseases healed completely. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, she was arrested by local police because she refused to give up her practice of Falun Gong. In March 2000, she was illegally sent to the county detention center. In the detention center, she was tied up, beaten with a rubber bat, and extorted of 900 yuan. On June 1, 2001, she was taken and imprisoned in the county police station only because she said "Falun Dafa is good, Master Li is good." After that, she was illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp.

Ms. Liu Yinfeng, 38, lived at Zhong Street, Ciyutuo Town. After practicing Falun Gong, she became healthy and all her diseases disappeared. After July 20, 1999, she kept practicing Falun Gong. In 2000, she was illegally detained by the local police while she visited fellow practitioners in the detention center, and tried to clarify the truth to the police. There were 12 practitioners who were arrested in the same village. Ms. Li Guiying was beaten until she was incapable of walking. After being illegally detained for more than 20 days, she was extorted of 1400 yuan. On November 22, 2000, Liu Yinfeng was arrested again and extorted of 500 yuan. In May 2001, she was sent to the county detention center. In the detention center, she received brutal punishment including "rope bundling," "half squat half stand" for a long time, and serious beatings. On August 29, she was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. Because of her health, she was later released.

Ms. Song Xiaolan, 42, lived at Zhong Street, Ciyutuo Town. On March 3, 2000, she was illegally detained while visiting fellow practitioner Li Muzhen. On the second day, she was sent to the county detention center and forced to walk with heavy bricks. After suffering from eighteen days of brutal punishment and extorted of 1500 yuan, she was released. On November 20, 2000, Song Xiaolan was sent to the detention center again. This time, she suffered even more brutal punishment than the first time and was extorted of 3900 yuan.

Ms. Liu Chunxia, 35, lived at Zhong Street, Ciyutuo Town. On March 3, 2000, she was illegally detained and beaten in the local police station. Her family was extorted of 1750 yuan. On December 17, 2000, she was sent to the county detention center and illegally detained for more than fifty days. During this period, her hands were tied with rope such that they almost touched the back of her head. Then, she was continuously beaten on the face by fists and wooden brushes until the police became tired. The police forced Liu Chunxia to half squat, half stand. If she could not maintain the posture, she was severely beaten. The police kept beating her from early morning until they got off work. After suffering from this torture, Liu Chunxia could not squat or raise her hands. On February 7, 2001, she was released after her family handed over 2400 yuan to the 610 Office and 1080 yuan to the detention center.

Ms. Liu Jianping (also known as Liu Guirong), 34, lived at Zhong Street, Ciyutuo Town. She used to be a worker in a plastic factory. On May 16, 2001, Liu Jianping was illegally detained by the local police because she tried to tell the truth about Falun Dafa to the police. During the detention, she was forced into the street and denunciated in public. On May 29, she was sent to the detention center. On August 29, she was illegally sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp and lost her job.

Ms. Li Lanzhi lived at Xi Street, Ciyutuo Town in Luan County. She started practicing Falun Gong because of a intervertebral disc disorder of her back. After practicing, her condition improved. After July 20 1999, while trying to clarify the truth to the local police, she was illegally detained and extorted of 2000 yuan.

Ms. Li Muhua, 55, lived at Zhong Street, Ciyutuo Town. On March 3, 2000, she was arrested and sent to the county detention center. After she was detained for seventeen days and extorted of 1000 yuan, she was released. On June 3, 2001, she was tricked into going to the local police station. After someone bailed her out, she was required to return to the local police station for 100 consecutive days.
