(Clearwisdom.net) Before the 2005 Chinese New Year, township officials in northern China visited Falun Dafa practitioners and the relatives of detained practitioners. Along with their regards, the officials also brought those families gifts such as rice, meat, and cooking oil. Of course this didn't happen because the evil regime has loosened up on the persecution of practitioners. It was a spontaneous act by people who no longer wanted to work for the persecution after they learned the facts about Falun Dafa from the practitioners' efforts.
In this township, a lot of people practice Falun Gong. After the persecution of Falun Gong started, some of the most severe persecution cases occurred here. Officials in the township tried everything they could, including making arrests, beating practitioners, searching homes, imposing fines, and sending practitioners to labor camps or prisons, but nothing could change the practitioners' belief in Falun Dafa. Due to practitioners' righteous thoughts and actions and their selfless efforts to tell people the facts about Falun Gong, everyone in the township now knows that Falun Dafa is good and "Truthfulness - Compassion - Forbearance" is good. The policeman who used to be the most ruthless in his treatment of practitioners now avoids them. When he can't escape, he speaks up first and tells the practitioners that now he knows that Falun Dafa is good, that Falun Dafa practitioners are all good people, and that he no longer participates in the persecution of Falun Gong.
Practitioners went to the township government and the police station to tell government and police officials the facts about Falun Gong. They wanted to let them know that "good is rewarded with good and evil is met with karmic retribution" and that persecuting Falun Dafa will put their own futures in grave danger. Everywhere in this township, in marketplaces, fields and homes, practitioners can be seen telling people facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution. The people there respect Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa practitioners.
Although the evil regime is still officially persecuting Falun Gong, in this township, government officials brought practitioners presents to celebrate the New Year.
