The Story of How I Became a Dafa Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) Before I started practicing Falun Gong, I was always creating strife. Due to severe conflicts with my husband, I called the police station at least a dozen times every year. The policemen in my neighborhood would get a headache upon hearing my voice, as it is very hard for them to handle family conflicts.

Being in such a terrible family environment I became very depressed and developed insomnia. I took medication for 2 years and did mountain-climbing exercises, which helped suppress the symptoms. However, after a short time without medicine or with additional conflicts, I started to have suicidal thoughts. It was my child who kept me alive, as I wanted to see my child get a good education. But I had no control over my body's weakness and lack of energy. For a while, I could not even drive and I gradually got to the point where I had frequent blackouts. Once when taking a ride on public transportation, I got off at a wrong stop. I was so disoriented at the time that I did not know whether I would see the sun the next day. Luckily I survived, and then I had the great fortune to come across the practice of Falun Gong.

I remember it was the morning of August 16, 2004 when I ran into Mr. Lin. He mentioned that some practitioners were coming to our area to teach Falun Gong. A year ago, a friend told me that learning Falun Gong was very good, but I was tied up with other concerns and did not go. Now Falun Gong classes would be held in my area and I promised to go without any hesitation. At that time I was very weak and could fall down at any time.

No matter how weak I was, I was on time to watch Master's lecture videos every night and practice the exercises at 5:00 a.m. every morning. I want to thank the assistant practitioners who worked very hard to teach us the exercises during the 9-day seminars. They overcame bad weather and commuting difficulties. Once, the Nali Typhoon caused a landslide and dangerous road conditions, but it did not stop the practitioners from coming to teach us. On behalf of students of the 1^st Falun Gong class in Fenqi Lake Area, I want to show our highest appreciation: Thank you for your hard work.

It was my great fortune that on the third day of the 9-day classes, Master helped to purify my body. It seemed as if I got a serious cold. My body temperature suddenly swung between being hot or cold. I had a runny nose, a sore throat, and my limbs were very weak. In the past I would have visited the doctor or have taken some medicines. On the fifth day I got better, but the symptoms turned into a headache which lasted for three days. It seemed that my head would split open. I used to have depression and insomnia, and I could not go to sleep without taking medicine. On the seventh night I slept very well without any medicine. Master's Fashen purified my back and my waist area. I was very comfortable. On the twelfth night Master purified my intestines and stomach. I used to have a gastric ulcer, but now I have recovered. My body is very light when I walk. More wonderful, is that my mind also has become clearer. I could not think of anything profound before I studied Falun Gong.

On September 29, the second 9-day seminar was held in the Fenqi Lake Area. I participated every day. Seeing so many new students doing so well, I was very happy for them. Some of the students suffered from illnesses that could not be cured by either Chinese or Western medicine. After they practiced Falun Gong for several days, they all got much better. It is so amazing.

After practicing Falun Gong, my views on life have completed changed. I am full of confidence, happiness, energy, and smiles. I no longer look or feel weak and pitiful. All my illnesses have gone without any medicine. All this is the power of Falun Gong.
