Facts That Should Never Be Forgotten (Part 1) (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Gong practitioners mentioned in this
article were good people of sound physical and mental health. Because they
insisted on practicing Falun Dafa and wished to live by the principles
"Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," they refused to be
brainwashed by Jiang's regime. Therefore, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
tortured them until they were physically disabled or had a mental breakdown
because of physical abuse or neurological drugs. Many people lost their lives
after they were physically disabled or had a mental breakdown. "The purpose is to torture you until you'd rather be dead than
alive," the police told practitioners when torturing them. For more than
five years, under the genocidal policy of "defaming their [Falun Gong
practitioners] reputation, bankrupting them financially, destroying them
physically," the police brutality has become ever more severe. Countless
cases of brutal torture, sexual abuse, large fines, injections of neurological
drugs, brainwashing, firings, ransacking of homes, educational and other types
of mental persecution have become the norm for Chinese law enforcement agencies
throughout the country. The examples listed in this article are only the tip of
the iceberg. I. Brutal persecution causes lifetime disability The CCP has been controlling people's minds through brutal methods, and it
has put these methods to use in the persecution of Falun Gong to an
unprecedented extent. To try to force practitioners to give up their belief and
write a statement that denounces Falun Gong, the CCP uses all kinds of extreme
inhuman torture methods, resulting in huge numbers of practitioners becoming
physically disabled. Some practitioners' limbs had to be amputated. Some
practitioners' limbs were severely deformed and became paralyzed. Some
practitioners lost their eye-sight or hearing, and some practitioners' faces
were badly mangled. Ms. Xu Fayue, a Falun Gong Practitioner from Jinan City, Shandong Province,
Had Several of Her Toes Amputated Because of Frostbite (Reference: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/5/14/10046.html) (Captions of two pictures) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Xu
Fayue had to have several of her toes amputated as a result of the persecution
she suffered On the evening of January 12, 2001, police officers from Jinan City in
Shandong Province appeared at Xu Fayue (a 1997 graduate from the Shandong Mine
Collage) and five other Dafa practitioners' residence and arrested them. The
officers came from the Political Security Unit of the Jinan City Public Security
Bureau and Liulishan Police Station. They did not produce any warrants, give any
reasons or identify themselves before they arrested the practitioners. On the
way to the police station, Xu refused to cooperate with the police personnel's
unlawful requests, so three or four policemen beat her savagely. At Liulishan Police Station, Xu Fayue's was handcuffed with both hands behind
her back and forced to sit with bare feet on the ice-cold cement floor. As soon
as the leaders of the district public security bureau arrived, they, police and
the Liulishan Police Station director covered her eyes with a towel and savagely
kicked her in the head. This resulted in the area around her eyes, her forehead
and mouth to bleed profusely. Blood soaked through the towel. After the
interrogation proved fruitless, the police put a heavy steel helmet on her head
and tied her onto a chair with rope and handcuffs. Her left hand was tied to the
back of the chair in such a painful way that she could not sit up or bend down.
The police left her in a room where the temperature was below minus 10 degree
Celsius [below 14 0F]. Two policemen were monitoring her to ensure
that she would not close her eyes. Xu Fayue had to endure such a terrible
situation through the night. The next morning, she vomited due to the severe
pain. They finally loosened the rope on her left hand. All this time, a
policeman in his fifties cursed at Xu Fayue using dirty and foul language,
brutally kicked her and shouted, "I'll kill you and choke you to
death!" On the afternoon of January 13, Xu and other five practitioners were sent to
Liuchangshan Prison. They went on a hunger strike to protest their unlawful
imprisonment. Five days later, Xu Fayue was tied to a bed to be force-fed. She
almost suffocated during the process and was close to dying. She was handcuffed
to the bed with her hands and legs being stretched out as far as possible and
covered only with a thin blanket. Her hands and feet were left uncovered on
purpose, an additional torture in the cold winter. Since she was tied to the bed
and not allowed to use the restroom, her clothing and the mattress were soaked
with her urine and soiled with her excrement. Her hands and feet were exposed to
the icy wind blowing through the open door and she lost all feeling in her body.
After having been abused and tortured this way for five days, her hands became
extremely swollen and turned dark purple. Her feet were numb and ice cold. The
first, third and fifth toes of her right foot turned black. Afraid of taking
responsibility, the prison guards and doctors sent her to the Police General
Hospital, which is also known as the Forced Labor Bureau Hospital. The doctors
in the hospital diagnosed that her left foot and right hand had suffered from
second-degree frostbite. Her right foot had suffered third degree frostbite,
with the first, third and fifth toes completely dead and emitting a foul odor.
After nearly one month, most of her big toe, all of the third toe and part of
the fifth toe of her right foot were amputated. Xu Fayue still could not walk
normally three months later. Mr. Wang Xinchun, 29 years old, Is Tortured and Disabled, Losing Both Feet (Reference: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/7/20/50454p.html) Mr. Wang Xinchun, 29 years old, began to practice Falun Gong in 1998. Wang
lived in the Fengmao Tree Farm in Jinshantun District in Yichun City,
Heilongjiang Province. Wang Xinchun was tortured and became disabled, losing both his
feet On January 8, 2002, when Wang Xinchun distributed truth-clarifying flyers at
the Tree Farm, the chief of police Wang Wei and policeman "A" saw him.
Wang tried to escape but policemen Wang Shoumin and Min Changchun pursued him
through the night into the next morning. Wang was not familiar with the area and
fell into a river. His legs up to his knees became wet and soon iced up. The
police surrounded the mountain. Two days later, chief Wang Wei and policeman
"A" arrested Wang. Wang Wei and Director of the police Cui Yuzhong
ordered policeman "A" to put Wang's feet into a washbasin with very
hot water (which is not the thing to do and will aggravate the frostbite and
cause severe injury). The police forcefully pulled Wang's shoes off his feet in
the hot water. Some of the flesh was stuck to the shoes because of the ice. The
police even said, "See, how nice we police are, looking after you just like
our own children." This was extremely cruel. When they arrested Wang on the
mountain, Wang was still able to walk and his legs were not completely
frostbitten. Only after the police put his feet in boiling water did the injury
become irreversible. At noon, only policeman A was watching Wang. Policeman A grabbed Wang's
chest, shook him back and forth and slapped his face. Wang's feet continued to
swell up and blister. His lower legs also blistered, most likely because of the
boiling water. Wang was sent home at five p.m. Later, the district police of Jinshantun, the "610
Office," and local government officials went to Wang's house uninvited
three times to videotape him. The police spread lies everywhere. They claimed,
"Wang Xinchun went into the mountains and his feet got frostbite. He came
home and put his feet into the hot water to melt the ice, which caused his
disability." Afterward, Wang's feet decomposed and fell off, resulting in permanent
disability. Practitioner Ms. Fu Li's Hands Are Disabled by Torture at Wanjia Labor Camp (Reference: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/12/3/55202.html) Forty-one-year-old practitioner Ms. Fuli is from Shuangcheng City,
Heilongjiang Province. In 2000, her hands became disabled and her body was
covered with scars as a result of torture at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in
Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. (Caption of two pictures) Picture provided by the victim of
the persecution, Ms. Fu Li. In October 1999, Ms. Fu Li went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa for the
second time. Armed police arrested her in Tiananman Square. Officials from the
Shuangcheng City 610
Office then brought her back to Shuangcheng City and held her at the No. 2
Prison. In mid-November, the Shuangcheng City Police Department sent her to the
Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province without due cause
or going through a legal process. In the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Fu Li endured inhuman treatment. The
police tied a rope around her thumbs and then hung her up by that rope. Her
thumbs had to sustain the weight of her entire body! After being suspended like
that for a long time, her thumbs became deformed and her hands disabled. She
could no longer take care of herself. Most of the practitioners incarcerated in the Wanjia Labor Camp suffer from
scabies because of the humidity and physical torture. They have lesions over
their entire bodies. Reenactment of persecution scenes Ms. Zang Yuxia, a Practitioner from Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, Is
Persecuted Until Her Face Is Disfigured (Ref: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/7/25/24463.html) In April 2002, several police broke into the home of Ms. Zang Yuxia, a Falun
Gong practitioner in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province and ransacked her home
without a warrant. After the police found nothing, the police forced Zang Yuxia
into the police car without even giving her a chance to put her shoes on. They
also kidnapped her child, a non-practitioner who was home for the weekend. The
police persecuted Zang and in just one month, Zang's face was disfigured from
the torture. She also suffered a fever (over 112oF) and was
unconscious for a very long time. Due to Severe Torture at Shijiazhuang Forced-Labor Camp, Hebei Province,
Practitioner Ms. Li Huiqi Becomes Paralyzed (Ref: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/2/1/31568.html) Ms. Li Huiqi was born in 1967. She was a former employee in a paint factory
in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. On December 2, 2001, she was clarifying the
truth about Falun Gong and someone turned her in to the police. Officials from
the Weiming Street Police Station of Shijiazhuang City (formerly the Xinghua
Street Police Station. Practitioner Mr. Zuo Zhigang was murdered there) arrested
her. Ms. Li was illegally imprisoned in the first detention center in
Shijiazhuang City for two months. On February 2, 2002, she was sent to the
Second Squad, in the Fourth Brigade of Shijiazhuang Forced-Labor Camp to serve a
one-year unlawful sentence. During the illegal imprisonment, she was in critical
condition on several occasions. Her family requested to see her several times
and asked the camp to put her on medical parole, so she could see a doctor. The
request was denied every time. Caption of two pictures: Li Huiqi suffered in pain On April 9, 2002, Li Huiqi's life was in danger as a result of torture. The
labor camp had to send her to the Peoples' Hospital of Hebei Province for urgent
treatment. Li's family members were finally able to see her. Li was emaciated
and her life was in danger. Li was diagnosed with "Guillain-Barre
Syndrome" and transferred to the Hebei Province Third Hospital. During that
time, Li's life was many times in danger and her family bought her funeral
clothes three times. Li was paralyzed and often unconscious. Her urinary tract
and lungs were severely infected. Her bronchial tubes had to be opened to insert
a tube, which she relied on to breathe. She constantly went into convulsions. On December 3, 2002, when Li was still in dire shape, the captain of the
fourth brigade of the camp and officer Zhou Yilin used the excuse of "Li's
term was served" and discharged her from the camp. He left her in the
hospital. The police persecuted a person until she was paralyzed and then
expected her family to take over her care. Li's family tried to negotiate with
the director of the forced labor camp, Zhao Jinlong, to reach an equitable
solution. Zhao would not accept responsibility and the family had to take Li
home. Ms. Zhai Fengci Is Tortured in the Forced Labor Camp and Her Knees and Hands
Became Deformed (Ref: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/5/11/47952p.html) Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhai Fengci was 50 years old, and an employee of
Xinghuo Machine Tool Factory of Tianshui City, Gansu Province. After being tortured in the forced labor camp for two years
and two months, Ms. Zhao Fengci's knees and hands were deformed Before Zhai practiced Falun Gong, she had many health problems, which mainly
stemmed from a heart condition. After she began to practice Falun Gong, her
illnesses disappeared. She even was no longer nearsighted. In spite of the evil
persecution, Zhai traveled to Beijing twice to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. A cruel torture called "squat on the back" was used to torture Zhai
Fengci. Zhai was forced to kneel and squat down on the ground under a bunk bed.
The lower bed is only 60-70 centimeters from the ground. Ms. Zhai's arms were
pulled behind her to opposite corners of the bed, with about 3 feet between her
arms, and her hands were cuffed together on top of the bed. She could not
straighten her back, lift her head, or rest her feet fully on the floor. Her
toes sustained her entire weight. She felt excruciating pain in her shoulders,
as if they had been broken. If she moved any part of her body a little bit, the
handcuffs cut into her wrists. For 7 days and 7 nights, she was engulfed in
extreme pain. The pain from the torture caused her to vomit and she was near
death. Her shoes were torn and her toes became deformed. Two years and two months of torture in the labor camp left both of Ms Zhai's
knees and hands severely deformed and swollen. She is now unable to take care of
herself. Meanwhile, her daughter Zhai Rongxuan was expelled from college for
going to Beijing to appeal with her. She is currently homeless. Ms. Zhai's older
brother, who was 70 years old, was brutally beaten and fined tens of thousands
of yuan for appealing for Falun Gong. Her older sister was unlawfully detained,
and has been beaten and fined several thousand Yuan. Guangzhou City Dongshan District Policemen Blind Ms. Wang Haiyan's Right Eye
When Beating Her (Ref: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/9/24/52755.html) In November 2002, Ms. Wang Haiyan was sent to the Third Brigade of the Chatou
Forced Labor Camp in Guangzhou City. As a result of the physical abuse she
received, Ms. Wang lost her eyesight. Her right eye socket was sunken and her
eyeball had shrunk. Even the black pupil of her right eye turned white. She had
great difficulty walking and was unable to look after herself. On the afternoon of June 13, 2002, Wang Haiyan was followed and reported by
someone when she was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong and handing out
truth-clarifying materials near the Wangfujing Department Store in the Dongshan
District in Guangzhou City. Policemen and plainclothes officers from the "610
Office" dragged Wang to an alley and threw her into a ditch. After she
was taken to the Nonglinxia Street Police Station in Dongshan District, her
clothes were soaked with rain and blood. Her head, eyes, and other parts of her
body were seriously injured. She requested to be sent to a hospital for medical
examination and treatment. Although she was vomiting, they threw her into a
small dark room. She was hungry and thirsty, and she felt extremely cold. She
went into convulsions. The excruciating pain made her vomit and she fainted. Wang was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. When she woke up, the
police threatened her. They told her that she could not tell the truth to the
doctor. A doctor told her that the tissue of her eyeball and optic nerve were
damaged, and there were several bruises on her brain. Additionally, her left
eardrum was damaged. She lost the hearing in one of her ears. There were black
and blue marks and blood all over her body, and she was bruised badly. The
doctors wanted to know more about her injuries, but the police dragged them
away. Her injuries got worse and she suffered daily severe headaches and eye
pain. She often felt such excruciating pain that caused her to convulse. She
could not sleep all night long. Eventually her right eye became blind, and the
eyesight in her left eye declined very quickly. She requested medical treatment
several times, but it was denied. Dafa Practitioner Ms. Gao Rongrong's Face Is Severely Disfigured After Seven
Hours of Electric Baton Torture in the Longshan Labor Camp (Ref: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/7/12/50141.html) The police at the Longshan Labor Camp in Shenyang City shocked 36-year-old
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Rongrong for nearly seven hours with electric
batons. Her face was severely disfigured. Gao Rongrong worked in the finance division of the Luxun Fine Arts College in
Shenyang City. In July of 2003, Gao was taken to the Longshan Forced Labor Camp.
On May 7, 2004, Tang Yubao, deputy head of the No. 2 Brigade, team leader Jiang
Zhaohua, called Gao to the duty office and cuffed her to the warm air pipeline.
Tang and Jiang shocked Gao with electric batons for 6-7 hours, from 3:00 p.m. to
after 9:00 p.m. Her face became severely disfigured, swollen and covered with
blisters. Her hair was matted with blood and pus dripped from her scorched skin.
She could only open her eyes a little because of her swollen face. Her mouth was
severely swollen and deformed. Even inmates who had lived with her day and night
for a long time could not recognize her. Picture 2 shows her burned face after
the blisters had dried up. One can still see the scars. The scars in some areas
of her face are thick, which shows the severity of the electric shocks. The
perpetrators shocked many parts of her face repeatedly; many blisters and burn
scars have overlapping layers. Her face was not treated, nor was she given any
medication. Ms. Gao was inhumanly tortured while detained at the Longshan Forced Labor
Camp. Her body was severely injured from the torture. She reported pain in her
liver and abdomen. She suffered intermittent fever and persistent nausea, and
she could no longer eat. Deputy head Tang Yubao of the No. 2 Brigade slapped her
face until she lost hearing in one ear. Yue Jun, head of the No. 1 Brigade,
ordered inmates to humiliate her by cutting her hair until it was close to her
scalp on the top of her head. Picture 3 was taken when some hair had grown back. Picture 3: Gao Rongrong suffered humiliation; the hair on top
of her head was cut very short Dalian Port Cargo Clerk Mr. Qu Hui Was Paralyzed during Four Years of Torture
in a Forced Labor Camp (Ref: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2005/1/17/56651.html) Falun Dafa practitioner Qu Hui lives in Zhongshan District, Dalian City,
Liaoning Province. Because he remained steadfast in his belief in Falun Dafa, he
was imprisoned in the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp, where he suffered severe
torture. His genitals were injured from electric shocks, his cervical vertebrae
were fractured, and he has been paralyzed for four years. Mr. Qu Hui, 35 years old, lives at No. 41, Yihe Street, Zhongshan District,
Dalian City. Qu and his wife went to Beijing in January 2000 to appeal for Falun
Gong and clarify the facts. Mr. Qu was beaten by police on Tiananmen Square and
taken back to Dalian. The authorities extorted 9,700 yuan
from him. Afterwards, he was discharged from his job and detained in the Dalian
Port Prison. After one month, Qu was transferred to Pulandian City Mental
Hospital for further persecution. On April 13, 2000, Mr. Qu was imprisoned in
the Dalian City Forced Labor Camp, where he had to do hard labor and suffered
brainwashing and torture. His genitals were injured from electric shocks. His
cervical vertebrae were fractured, and he became paralyzed. Finally he was
tortured so cruelly that he could no longer walk. He was carried on a stretcher
out of the forced labor camp. Over the past four years, Qu Hui has been
bedridden because he was paralyzed. He cannot turn his body by himself. His wife
has to take care of all of his physical needs. Images of the injuries sustained by Mr. Qu Hui due to torture
while in detention. He is now paralyzed and bedridden. The following images are too graphic. Young readers are suggested not to

Urine In the afternoon of March 19, 2001, the special team that detains Falun Gong
practitioners in Dalian City Forced Labor Camp had readied a great number of
police, torture instruments, and ambulances with oxygen tanks. One by one,
practitioners were brought into a room. Inside this room, the police attempted
to have practitioners renounce Falun Gong. The police also tried to have
practitioners sign a "Guarantee
Statement." They attempted to make practitioners slander and curse
their respected Teacher and Dafa. If a practitioner refused to do so, he or she
would be brutally tortured. The sound of screaming from practitioners and curses
from police filled the building. Practitioners who had been tortured were lying
all over the hallway. Some were spitting or drooling, and some groaned from
pain. It was a terrible scene. At 9:00 p.m., Qu Hui was also dragged into that torture room. The police
tortured him until 8:00 a.m. the next morning. No one knew how many electric
batons the police used. Qu's body was covered with wounds caused by rubber
clubs. His buttocks were beaten so severely that the flesh caved in. His knees
were swollen from being hit, and his cervical vertebrae was broken. He spat
blood and lost consciousness several times. Once Qu regained consciousness and
overheard doctor Han Qiong, who monitored him, say, "He's all right. You
can continue beating him." Han Qiong currently is the chief of the Dalian
Forced Labor Camp Hospital. He once told Qu's wife, "It's better if Qu Hui
dies." While hitting Qu, police officer Qiao Wei grinned and said to the
observers, "For many years my cravings have not been satisfied as much as
they are now." The next day, the forced labor camp authorities saw that Qu Hui was dying, so
they sent him to the City Hospital. Because Qu could not get the medical
treatment he needed immediately, his condition deteriorated and his life was in
critical condition. Due to strong demands by Qu's family, Qu's wife was released
on bail from the labor camp to take care of Qu. (Qu's wife went to Beijing to
appeal for Dafa in October 2000. She was sentenced to 3 years of forced labor
and imprisoned in Dalian City Forced Labor Camp.) Qu's wife saw him after he had been hospitalized for 20 days. Qu was
extremely weak and his heart rate was up to 160 beats per minute. Qu's lungs
were failing and he was unable to breath on his own. His trachea was cut open
and a breathing machine was inserted. His kidney also failed and an urine tube
was inserted. In the meantime, Qu had severe diarrhea and was depending on
intravenous injection to survive. Qu had bedsores all over, especially on his
buttocks. The largest one was nearly 10 centimeters, stretching down to his
pelvis. His vertebrae was black, exposed to the outside and exuded a very bad
smell. Qu's family pictures before he was persecuted Mr. Zou Yanjie's Feet Amputated Due to Persecution (Ref: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/10/8/53268.html) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zou Yanjie, 30 years old, lived in the Railroad
Workers Residential Community at the Halahai Town in Nong'an County of Jilin
Province. The persecution against Falun Gong had disabled a strong young man. At 8 p.m. on December 20, 2001, when police from Halahai Town Substation
knocked on Zou Yanjie's door, Zou didn't open the door. The police then climbed
over the wall from Zou's neighbor's yard and broke into his home. Officers Wang
Shiquan, Zhang Enfeng, and a person with the surname of Zhai broke into the
house. They ransacked his home and left a total mess. The police arrested Zou,
his mother and his wife. Zou had been imprisoned in a forced labor camp before,
and he ran away to avoid going through it again. Zou got lost and was trapped in
the dense woods because he panicked. Zou was afraid that the police would catch
him and decided to stay in the woods for a couple of days. It was during the
cold of winter and Zou had nothing to eat or drink for several days. He became
too weak to walk out of the woods later and his hands and feet suffered severe
frostbite. Someone found Zou after 18 days of suffering hunger and cold weather
in the woods and saved him. By the time, Zou was extremely weak and skinny; even
his older sister couldn't recognize him. Zou lost the ability to work. His wife
gave up Falun Gong due to the persecution and divorced him. Zou's parents are
taking care of him now. The family does not have a permanent place to stay
because they are hiding from the police. (To be continued) |
