Teacher Saved Our Family from Death and Despair
(Clearwisdom.net) I am a resident of Jilin Province. My health started
to deteriorate in 2000, and I still had to take care of my entire family. During
these years, my wife developed heart disease and suffered from a detached retina
and a herniated lumbar disc. When her pain was severe, she could not even get
out of bed. She was almost blind, and no medicine provided any improvement. When
I went to the hospital for a check-up, the doctors told me that I had terminal
stomach cancer. The news was so shocking that it brought misery to the entire
family. I was getting thinner and weaker with each passing day, and I had to
give up my lucrative business. All the neighbors thought I would not live much
longer. I could see the end of my family. I felt the presence of death closing
in on me, but I was unable to stop the approaching doom. On the outside, I still
acted as if nothing was bothering me, but no one really knew my suffering
within. In my despair, I wished someone could save my family. The Spring of 2004 was also the Spring of my family. A friend sent us a copy
of "Zhuan Falun," and my wife and I immediately read the
book with great enthusiasm. What is written in the book is so wonderful! It
tells us how to be good people, to be selfless, and to go above and beyond
according to the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
I finally understood the purpose and the ultimate meaning of life. Without my
even realizing it, my stomach cancer disappeared, and I was gaining weight every
day, and my wife could finally work in the field. Her heart disease and disc
problem disappeared, and she also regained her vision. Ever since then, my whole
family was full of joy. We told people, "Falun Dafa is good" wherever
we went. Our relatives and neighbors changed their opinions about Falun Dafa.
This caused quite a stir in my local area. The news of us becoming practitioners
traveled to the local chief of police. He thought about it and said, "You
can practice at home if you like." This is a blessing from Heaven. I thank Teacher and Falun Dafa from the
bottom of my heart. Teacher has saved my family from the shadow of death. There
are no words that can express my gratitude, and I just want to shout out loud,
"Falun Dafa is good!" |
