Understanding "Dafa Is the Most Fundamental"

(Clearwisdom.net) We all know that Dafa disciples are great and their greatness is attributed to the Fa, not their individual selves. It's not about the cosmos viewing and judging everyone's greatness individually. It's because of our Master's greatness and the Fa's magnificence. Dafa disciples' capabilities, glory, cultivation realms and achievements are all created because of our Master's greatness -- created according to the mighty Fa and under the grace of our accomplished Master. In other words, Dafa disciples' distinct character and individuality, if separated from Dafa, are nothing. Also if the universe's boundless beings are judged from the perspective of the individual's capabilities, realms and mighty virtues and are not attributed to the glory of Dafa, then everything becomes fundamentally meaningless. It's like what's said in Zhuan Falun, "Lecture 6":

"No matter what happens, one must maintain good xinxing. Only through adhering to Dafa can one be truly right. Whether it is your supernormal abilities or your Unlocking of Gong, you achieve them through practicing cultivation in Dafa. If you put Dafa in a secondary place and put your supernatural powers in the primary place, or as an enlightened person you believe that what you understand one way or another is correct, or if you even regard yourself as being great and beyond Dafa, I would say that you have already started to stumble. It would be dangerous and you would become ever worse. At that time, you would really be in trouble, and your cultivation would end up in vain. If things are not done right, you will stumble and fail in your cultivation."

I've become aware that any deviation from the Fa which created everything, like our attachment to the superficial appearance of our accomplishments, is fundamentally deviated and moves us dangerously toward the path of self destruction.

Related to this, on the issue of sending forth righteous thoughts, Dafa disciples are unraveling their mighty powers. Dafa disciples' greatness and glory, in relation to sending forth righteous thoughts, lies in the mighty Fa's manifestation of the individual's might toward all sentient beings in the cosmos.

Therefore, we certainly must believe firmly that, "Dafa is the most fundamental." Do not let our own attachment to individual thoughts and notions hinder our ability to unravel the mighty power of the Fa. Superficially, its Dafa disciples sending forth righteous thoughts by using the abilities entrusted and empowered by our great Master. Master's benevolent grace and boundless mercy is reflecting and unfolding on Dafa disciples' bodies. Essentially it's the Fa rectifying the cosmos, extinguishing all evil elements.

We deny all evil's existence. When we send forth the powerful "extinguishing" thoughts, including the thoughts denying all evil's existence, we are destroying and eliminating them. It is like what's said in the third lecture of Zhuan Falun, "What Has Teacher Given to Practitioners",

"One should give up this attachment, as this......no longer exists."

Only in this way can we thoroughly purify our own thoughts. Otherwise, it's an omission in our cultivation.
