According to Minghui News on March 12, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Sun Shiyou, Mrs. Ma Lianxiao and others from Shenyang Province were arrested for participating in the rescue of Gao Rongrong, a fellow practitioner who suffered severe torture and disfigurement at the hands of the police. The police in the Criminal Police division from Tiexi District, Shenyang City tortured Mr. Sun Shiyou by beating his lower body and shocking him with electric batons. Mr. Ma Yuping was also shocked with electric batons when he was in the Heping District Police Substation. Currently, the aforementioned practitioners are being subjected to brainwashing at the Zhangshi Correctional Center in Shenyang and the Provincial Prison Hospital.

Mrs. Ma Lianxiao is 59 years old, and practicing Falun Dafa had greatly improved her physical and mental health. She worked for the Construction Science Research Institute in Liaoning Province. She was arrested in May 2001 for sending truth-clarification materials through the mail. After a hunger strike, she escaped through the power of righteous thoughts. She was forced to become homeless to avoid further persecution, and her employer is withholding her salary. In July 2003, she went to clarify the facts at her workplace, and police from the Heping district Jixian station arrested her there. The Heping District Court sentenced her to eight years in prison. While in detention, Mrs. Ma started a hunger strike to resist the persecution, and was force-fed with highly concentrated salt water. She was sent to the prison hospital when she was near death. The Detention Center released her to her relatives, but after several rounds of savage persecution, her health has deteriorated. Mrs. Ma now feels dizzy all the time and has difficulty keeping her balance.

Dong Jingzhe, Mrs. Ma's 32-year-old daughter, was a graphic designer. Mrs. Dong started practicing Falun Dafa in March 1999. She graduated at the top of her class from the Finance and Economics Institute. Mrs. Dong's hard work earned compliments from her satisfied clients. Colleagues remember her as a gentle, kind, and selfless person who got along harmoniously with everyone.

In May 2001, Mrs. Dong was sentenced to two years in Longshan Correctional Center in Shenyang. She was severely tortured there (see detailed report at http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/9/11/52316.html). She went on a hunger strike and escaped the Correctional Center with righteous thoughts.

Mr. Sun Shiyou, Mrs. Dong's husband, age 33, started practicing Falun Dafa in 1999. He worked as a department manager for an advertising agency. Mr. Sun is modest and amiable; he likes to help others. His proficiency in business and diligence at work won the trust and respect of his boss and colleagues. At the end of 2001, after Mrs. Dong had escaped, the director of the Correctional Center, Li Fengshi, came to Mr. Sun's firm asking for Mr. Sun's wife. The boss and colleagues protected him and resisted the pressure. They knew in their hearts that Falun Dafa practitioners are all good people. It would be a big loss for the company if Mr. Sun was taken away.

Mrs. Dong's sister is an architect and works at the Architecture Design College in Liaoning Province. She, too, is kind, gentle, graceful, and liked by all.

Mr. Ma Yuping is a 38-year-old taxi driver from Tiexi district. After he had started practicing Falun Dafa in 2000, he gave up bad habits like drinking and fighting; his chronic back pain also disappeared without treatment. He is honest and helpful. In September 2002, Mr. Ma was arrested for clarifying the truth and sentenced to two years in Zhangshi Correction Center in Shenyang.

These people have suffered much persecution for their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. We ask everyone to help rescue them.
