(Clearwidom.net) Even before Teacher published the article, "Hurry Up And Tell Them," my wife and I had already started using the opportunity of consulting with our patients and their families, to clarify the truth face-to-face. In doing so, we let people know how Falun Dafa was being brutally persecuted by Jiang's scoundrel regime.
Since the publication of Teacher's article, "Hurry Up And Tell Them" in August 2002, we realized the urgency of clarifying the truth. We began face-to-face truth clarification on a large scale. Because we are doctors in a mountainous region, the main groups of patients we work with are kind and pure-hearted peasants from the mountains. They are mostly middle-aged, so when we clarified the facts of the persecution, we would usually start by talking about traditional Chinese values such as "doing good deeds will give you good rewards," "good is reward with good and evil meets with retribution," and so on. Eventually we would tell them that the characteristics of the universe, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" is what bestows miraculous healing effects on people, and that is why in such a short period of time, within less than ten years, so many people came to practice Falun Dafa. When clarifying the truth, we first try to let our patients know about Falun Dafa from a positive perspective. Then we continue by explaining things to them according to their questions and any misunderstanding they might have. My wife and I harmonize and complement each other. Working together, we achieve good results in clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. When we talk to our patients this way, many people feel as if they suddenly understood the truth of the persecution. This has laid a very good foundation for their lives.
If someone is very stubborn and refuses to listen or understand, we would first tell them that Falun Gong teaches people to follow "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" in order to become a better person. Then we say that the Chinese Constitution clearly states that citizens enjoy "freedom of belief, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and freedom of association." However, former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin has replaced the Constitution with brute power, in violation of the most fundamental law of the nation, and has persecuted the kind-hearted and innocent Chinese citizens. We tell people that this has brought huge disasters to the Chinese nation and its people and that it is against the heavenly principles.
However, around the autumn of 2003, a barrier developed between my wife and me. She didn't want to listen when I clarified the facts, and when she clarified the facts, I wouldn't listen either. We didn't follow Teacher's instruction in the Boston Lecture, to use a compassionate and tolerant heart to harmonize and complement each other. Instead, we gradually treated truth clarification as a task and a routine job done by ordinary people. The compassion behind our truth clarification slowly faded away.
This was when the dark minions or evil beings in other dimensions seized the chance to take advantage of our loopholes. Somebody reported to the chief of the hospital, saying that I promoted Falun Gong while treating patients. Our hospital's attitude suddenly turned 180 degrees. The chief talked to us and exerted pressure on us, saying that we could not talk about Falun Gong while at work. The chief had originally understood the truth about Falun Gong. Now, due to the barrier that had developed between my wife and me, and because we did not study the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts for eliminating the evil factors with a calm mind, the chief was swayed to the evil's side once again. What was worse, in November 2003, the secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee of the Health Bureau even attempted to arrest my wife and take her to the local brainwashing center for further persecution. (During this period, she could not concentrate while sending forth righteous thoughts, and her hand would often fall sideways.) At this extremely critical time, we remembered Teacher, and under Teacher's strengthening, my wife maintained a righteous mind and was able to escape danger. After my wife returned, we sent forth righteous thoughts together with other local practitioners, to eliminate the dark minions and evil forces in other dimensions that had been persecuting us. In less than a week, my wife miraculously regained her job.
As 2004 arrived, the Fa-rectification process advanced daily. Massive amounts of dark minions and evil factors in other dimensions were eliminated. The environment in which we clarified the truth to save sentient beings became more relaxed. New staff members that were transferred to my workplace also quickly understood the truth. They gave us strong support. Our clinical business miraculously improved and grew at an exponential rate. The number of patients that came for treatment increased greatly. This created a very good and unprecedented environment for me to clarify the truth and save sentient being on a large scale. My wife also thoroughly clarified the truth to hospitalized patients and their families visiting them. Everyone she talked to understood the truth. The wisdom and inspiration bestowed on us by the Fa continuously emerged. Our truth clarification became more natural and smooth. As the number of patients increased, our salary and bonuses also increased more and more. Now, I donate 1,000 yuan from my income for Dafa materials production sites to print truth-clarifying materials.
We know that to effectively clarify the truth we must first study the Fa well, send forth righteous thoughts well, and maintain a compassionate heart when saving sentient beings. It's important to not be impatient in clarifying the facts, but rather, to seek an appropriate opportunity to talk to people and let them understand the truth in a very natural atmosphere. If talking to them once is not enough, then talk to them twice or three times - whatever is necessary. Be patient and relaxed. If we persevere, people will eventually understand the truth.
During the three-year period from early 2002 to early 2005, between 4,000 and 5,000 people have come to understand, at some level, the truth of Falun Gong from our efforts. Some people even started learning Falun Dafa and conducted themselves according to the requirements of Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, doing well in the three things required by Teacher. In addition, other people that we have contact with in our daily life have also come to understand the truth to different extents. Their spreading of the truth has also led to more people learning the truth. Some acquaintances asked us for truth-clarifying VCDs and reading materials. Even personnel from the Sanitation Bureau and leaders of the hospital passively dealt with the evil policy set by the authorities from above and secretly protected Dafa disciples. The secretary of the Political and Judiciary Committee in our town understood the facts about Falun Dafa. He chose to leave this position in 2003 and took on the position of National People's Congress president of an even more isolated town. His previous position is still vacant. Our town has turned a blind eye to practitioners' activities, and did only the most superficial work to comply with the orders to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The Fa-rectification environment has become much more relaxed. Small-scale Fa-study groups continuously emerge. We can hold small-scale experience sharing conferences (20-30 people) at any time. Practitioners shared their experiences in learning and in cultivating Dafa, and we advanced together.
