Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhao Liang on Hunger Strike for 200 Days
(Clearwisdom.net) The Nanpiao area, Huludao City, Liaoning province: on
July 2, 2004, Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Liang was unlawfully arrested and sent
to a forced labor camp. He is detained at the Huludao Forced Labor Camp, where
he has been on a hunger strike to protest his unjust detention for more than 200
days. He is suffering from painful forced feeding. His condition is very
serious. The policemen there still won't release him. We are calling on everyone
to please help him. Zhao Liang is suffering inhuman persecution once again, simply for
steadfastly persisting in his practice of Falun Gong Mr. Zhao Liang, 27 years old, lived in Anchangxian village, Nuanchitang town,
Nanpiao area. Since he persists in upholding the dignity of "Truthfulness,
Compassion, and Forbearance" in the face of persecution, he has been
subjected time and again to inhumane torture at the hands of police officers,
who carry out the orders of the Communist Party's leaders. On June 22, 2004, the
Bohai Police Station and officers Sang Guohua, Liu Xuibin, and Sun Wanwen from
the Nuanchitang Police Station once again arrested Mr. Zhao, his mother Ms. Qi
Chaoying, and his brother Mr. Zhao Ming after they had been forced into
homelessness for 2 years in an attempt to avoid recapture and torture. In the detention center, Liu Junke (who lived in Xingcheng, and whose badge
number is 950994) instigated convicted murderer Tong Longyong and criminal Wang
Jingtian and others, including another prisoner, to persecute Mr. Zhao by
beating him, pinching his arm muscles, tightly squeezing his testicles, and
other forms of torture. On July 2, 2004, Mr. Zhao Liang and Mr. Zhao Ming were sentenced to 3 years
in a forced labor camp. They were sent to the Huludao Forced Labor Camp. Mr.
Zhao Liang has been on a continuous hunger strike for 200 some days. He is still
suffering force-feeding, and his condition is critical. The difficulty Mr. Zhao Liang and his family have met with in the past
several years The Zhao family consists of five adults who practice Falun Gong: the father
Mr. Zhao Hongben, the mother Ms. Qi Chaoying, the elder son Mr. Zhao Ming, the
daughter-in-law Ms. Yang Hongxia, and the younger son Mr. Zhao Liang. This is a
family with a long history of suffering from painful illness and quarrelling
with each other. After practicing Falun Gong, however, the whole family became
healthy and harmonious. In July 1999, Falun Gong was banned in China. As of
January 2004, this five-member family had been illegally taken into custody 55
times. Altogether, they have been detained in forced labor camps for a total of
9 years. Mr. Zhao Liang has been tortured to the brink of death twice. The Zhao family's possessions have been confiscated, as they were fined until
they had nothing left. Even after all of this repeated persecution, Sang Guohua
at the Nuanchitang Police Dept still harassed and threatened them. The whole
family was forced to live a homeless, vagrant life to avoid this harassment. During the 2005 Chinese New Year, millions of families got together to
celebrate. Meanwhile, Mr. Zhao's mother Qi Chaoying and his sister-in-law Ms.
Yang Hongxia were being tortured at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Zhao
Ming was just released after almost having been tortured to death. His father,
Mr. Zhao Hongben, an older gentleman, has also been persecuted and his
whereabouts are unknown. The eleven year-old granddaughter has to stay with her
