--Accounts of Falun Gong Practitioners Holding Peaceful Appeals in Front of Chinese Embassies and Consulates around the World

Africa On the evening of January 27, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful
appeal in front the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of South Africa. South America On July 20, 2004, practitioners from Mexico held a peaceful appeal in front
of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico City to condemn the five-year persecution of
Falun Gong instigated by Jiang Zemin. On July 20, 2004, practitioners in Argentina exposed the Jiang regime's
five-year persecution against Falun Gong in front of the Chinese Embassy in
Argentina. On November 13, 2004, in a park in front of the Chinese Embassy in Lima, the
capital of Peru, practitioners in Peru held a photo exhibition and live
re-enactment of the torture methods employed by Jiang's regime against
practitioners, in order to expose to the public and the media the persecution of
Falun Gong in China. Australia On April 25 and 26, 2004, practitioners in New Zealand held an activity in
front of the Chinese Consulate in Auckland to commemorate the fifth anniversary
of the "April 25" peaceful appeal in Beijing. On November 13, 2004, practitioners in Australia gathered outside the Chinese
Embassy in Canberra and held a candlelight vigil to commemorate fellow
practitioners who have died from the persecution within the previous two months.
They also demanded that the chief perpetrators, including Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan,
Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, be brought to justice. Asia On March 11 and 12, 2005, practitioners in Malaysia held a peaceful appeal in
front of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia. On the evening of July 23, 2005, practitioners in Japan sent forth righteous
thoughts in front of the Chinese Embassy in Japan in order to expose the Jiang
regime's brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners and commemorate
fellow practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution. July 20, 2004, marked the fifth anniversary of the persecution of Falun Gong.
On that day, practitioners in Israel called for an end to the persecution in
front of the Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv. On July 20, 2004, on the fifth anniversary of the beginning of the
persecution of Falun Gong, Korean practitioners held activities in front of the
Chinese Embassy to strongly condemn the Jiang regime's suppression and call for
an end to the persecution. On December 10, 2004, International Human Rights Day, on the wide pavement in
front of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, practitioners in Jakarta held a photo
exhibition and live re-enactment of torture methods used against practitioners
in China to expose the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong. North America Shocked by the news that, during Zeng Qinghong's visit to South Africa,
practitioners who planned to file a lawsuit against him were attacked in a
drive-by shooting, Falun Gong practitioners in Vancouver, Canada, held a press
conference on the morning of June 29, 2004, in front of the Chinese Consulate to
condemn the Jiang regime's extension of its state-terrorism to other countries
and to call upon people from all walks of life to stop the atrocities. On February 14, 2004, Canadian practitioners peacefully appealed in front of
the Chinese Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, with their group practice. On the afternoon of April 25, 2004, practitioners in the Washington, DC, area
conducted group practice in front of the Chinese Embassy to commemorate the
fifth anniversary of the April 25th peaceful appeal in Beijing in
1999. On October 13, 2004, practitioners in Houston held group practice in front of
the Chinese Consulate. On January 14, 2003, practitioners in Los Angeles peacefully appealed in
front of the Chinese Consulate in L.A. On November 18, 2004, after learning that, led by Hu Jintao, several Chinese
officials visiting the Chinese delegation in Argentina had harassed and attacked
practitioners in Argentina who were peacefully appealing, San Francisco
practitioners went to the Chinese Consulate to express their wishes that the new
Chinese leader should make a clear distinction between right and wrong and carry
out his responsibilities based on his conscience.
