Around 10:00 a.m. on February 11, 2005, more than ten officers with four cars from the National Security Team from the Jidong County Police Department, Heilongjiang Province surrounded Falun Gong practitioner Guo Jishu's home. They arrested practitioners Guo Jishu, Mr. Meng Xianjun, Ms. Wang Chunyan (Meng Xianjun's wife) and Zhang Qingyun and confiscated some Falun Dafa truth clarification materials. Currently these four practitioners are under interrogation at the Jidong County Police Department.

On the morning of March 11, 2005, practitioner Ms. Gui Rong from the Anqiu City Glass Plant in Shandong Province was arrested from her workplace. Detailed information is not yet known.

Gui Rong has been persecuted many times for persisting in her belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." On July 19, 1999 she was arrested and held at a brainwashing class for about eight days. Later she went to Beijing to clarify the truth of Falun Gong many times and was detained several times. In October 2000, she was sentenced to three years of forced labor. Gui Rong's husband died in a car accident before she practiced Falun Gong. After she was put into a forced labor camp, her under-age son had no one take care of him.

More than six hundred people are held in the Concentration Team at the Hulan Prison, Heilongjiang Province. About 30 to 40 Falun Gong practitioners are detained there. Most of them wear clothing with two red oil-painted characters on them saying "Strictly Monitored" in order to distinguish them from common criminals. They are not allowed to talk with criminals, and criminals caught speaking with practitioners are forced to stand facing a wall for a week as punishment. Policemen wrap mop handles with tape or plastic sheets to beat practitioners. Practitioner Zhang Xiaodong has been beaten with a mop handle many times. Another practitioner in his/her sixties was forced to stand facing a wall for several days. Zhang Hailiang, the team head, incites young policemen in the team to inhumanely torture practitioners.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Wenhang, 37 years old, from Kunming City, Yunan Province, is an officer at the Administration and Supervision for Technology Bureau in Yunnan Province. She graduated from Wuhan University. In 2000, she was sentenced to three years of forced labor, but was released in 2001. She announced to some related departments in Yunnan Province that her guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong was invalid. Afterwards she has been under surveillance. In January 2005, the leaders of her work unit and personnel from the local police precinct abducted and sentenced her to three years of forced labor again. She is currently being held at the Kunming City Rehabilitation Center.

Zhang Wenhang's family hired a lawyer to appeal the illegal sentence and requested her release, but the provincial Department of Justice doesn't permit lawyers to accept cases related to Falun Gong.

At around 8:00 a.m. on March 9, 2005, a gang of plainclothes officers broke into practitioner Ms. Jing Huanmei's home without producing any warrant. They ransacked her home and arrested Jing Huanmei.
