Practitioner Mr. Ding Guowang No Longer Responsive After Being Tortured at Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ding Guowang, 60, works at the Chemical Fertilizer Plant in Xiangcheng City, Henan Province. Before beginning Falun Dafa practice, Mr. Ding suffered from high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, chills on one side of his body, and numerous other stubborn illnesses. In 1997, after practicing Falun Dafa for less than two months, these illnesses completely disappeared. He achieved good mental and physical health.

On September 10, 2001, Ding Guowang went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. At around 10:00 a.m. on September 11, Mr. Ding unfolded a banner on Jinshui Bridge at Tiananmen Square and shouted "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous way! Restore my Teacher's reputation!" For this, Diang Guowang was detained in the Haidian District Public Security Office. He was handcuffed, beaten and forced to watch a brainwashing video program that slandered Falun Dafa. All day long, he was forced to endure the loud broadcast from an amplifier, which attacked and slandered Falun Dafa. Mr. Ding refused to denounce Falun Dafa, and he was consequently illegally sentenced to eighteen months of forced labor and detained in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp.

During his detention in Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, Mr. Ding was tortured physically and mentally. For two winters, he did not have a blanket to cover his body when he slept, nor did he have thick winter clothes to wear. He was also forced to take drugs and injections. At the time of his release on March 11, 2003, he was extremely weak and no longer mentally alert. His speech had become incoherent and incomprehensible, and he could no longer take care of himself. Officials from the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp even extorted ten thousand yuan from his work unit by deducting more than 100 yuan every month from his salary.
