Sweden: Introducing Falun Gong at Helsjon College

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Gong practitioner and I'm studying Music in Helsjon College, 70km southwest of Gothenburg. There are about 120 students in the school and lots of them are Christian, so I had the chance to talk about spiritual issues with them. They were curious about Falun Gong. I provided them with some information and now I run an exercise class every Thursday before lunch. Students come to learn the exercises, and also hear about the persecution.

Everyone at the college knows I practice Falun Gong. When we had a school sports day on 1st February, the Committee asked me whether I could teach Falun Gong exercises on that day. Of course I was happy to do so. The school staff and students had a choice between taking a walk, playing volleyball, oxygen sports or Falun Gong. I had two lessons, every lesson being sixty five minutes. A practitioner living near my school came to help me. About ten people came to every lesson. We taught the exercises, discussed about the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance and shared about the inner peace we gained from cultivating Falun Gong. We also talked about the situation of the brutal persecution happening in China. Everyone present thought that the persecution happening to Falun Gong practitioners is frightening and terrible and could not understand why Falun Gong is persecuted so severely.
