France: Introducing Falun Gong at the Primrose Expo in Lyon (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On February 25, 26 and 27, Falun Gong practitioners from France and Geneva attended the Primrose Expo in the city of Lyon. The practitioners introduced Falun Dafa to about fifty to sixty thousand people from Lyon and neighboring cities. They also informed them about the abuses of human rights that are happening to people who practice Falun Gong in China, through the large-scale campaign of suppression implemented and enforced by the Jiang Zemin regime and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

On the first day of the Expo, local radio station "Colour FM" interviewed practitioners.

During these three days, the Falun Gong stand had a television that was constantly broadcasting truth-clarifying programs to expose the persecution and help people better understand the practice. There were also leaflets available for people to pick up and practitioners were always on hand to answer any questions.

After seeing pictures of large-scale Falun Gong exercise practices in China and pictures taken in the same country after the persecution began in July 1999, people were puzzled: "Why is the Chinese Communist Party persecuting people who merely want to practice peaceful meditative exercises?" After talking with the practitioners, they understood that the persecution was driven by the personal jealousy and desire for political power of the former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, in collusion with the CCP. The "Lies-Wickedness-Violence" nature of the Chinese Communist Party can't tolerate Falun Gong's principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." They learned that the CCP feared that it couldn't control a way of thinking that is different from its ideology and thus used the state-controlled media to launch a large-scale defamation campaign, and turned the nation against this peaceful practice in order to take away the people's right to practice Falun Gong.

During the Expo, the practitioners also collected a lot of signatures calling for an end to the persecution. Many tourists came straight to the Falun Gong stand to sign their names and give encouraging comments such as, "I have heard about this before. I support you. You have to continue with what you are doing."

Practitioners around the world have overcome many difficulties to continuously clarify the truth about Falun Gong to people, and more and more people are coming to learn about Falun Gong and the facts about the persecution. As more people learn the truth, the lies will inevitably collapse.
