Man Who Was Blind for Twenty Years Is Able to See after Practicing Falun Gong

Violent evil has raged for four years
With a steady helm, bearings are not lost
Fa disciples experience evil's trials
Heavy pressure does not change their will
Master and disciples have no use for sentimentality
Buddha's grace transforms heaven and earth
Disciples' righteous thoughts are strong
Master has the power to turn back the tide

I am a Falun Gong practitioner from Yanbian, Jilin Province. I am 72 years old this year, and have had no formal education. I began practicing Falun Dafa in early 1998. The following are several stories of my experience.

In 1966 my right eye was damaged during a coal mining accident. At the time, I was 32 years old. After a period of treatment, my right eye became completely blind, and my left eye could not see clearly either. By 1984, I was completely blind.

During this time, I tried many different medical treatments; all of which failed. Because I was blind, I could no longer take care of myself and this added a heavy burden to my wife and it also made my life difficult and painful. In 1998 I started to practice Falun Gong. I followed Master's teaching "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance". My wife patiently taught me the exercises. With her help I mastered the five sets of exercises very quickly and although I was not able to watch Master's lectures, I listened to them.

My first elimination of karma happened in November 1998. I had a fever of 42ºC (107.6ºF). At that time I reminded myself that I was a practitioner and that I needed to treat myself as a practitioner. Master said in Lecture Three of Zhuan Falun,

And he also said,

I believed in Master without any doubt, kept practicing, and after 3 days I became healthy without any medical treatment.

In April 1999, my wife put a kettle full of boiling water on the floor. Because I could not see, I kicked the kettle and it flipped over. It took the skin off the back of my left foot, and my foot was swollen. After two days, the skin on that foot was so dry that it broke, and started bleeding. I still remembered that I was a practitioner and needed to treat myself with a practitioner's xinxing standard. I continued to listen to Master's lectures every day. After a month, my foot recovered.

In November 2004, I was suddenly able to see light. I could see the world with both eyes again after 20 years of blindness. I see the stars and moon in the sky, and also my grown up children. Now, not only can I take care of myself, but I am also able to help with some of the housework. My children are very happy for me, and they now support me to practice Falun Gong. My family all say, "Falun Dafa is good, and Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa." I thank Master for his merciful and arduous salvation.
