Overcoming My Attachment of Fear

(Clearwisdom.net) In October of 2004, there were police cars and policemen all over the streets. My phone was tapped and my home was watched by plain-clothes policemen. When I went out of the house my surroundings seemed gloomy and I always felt someone was following and watching me. I was afraid and the attachment of fear was very strong. I said to myself, "Stay home for a few days and avoid the current harsh situation. Do not go out now to clarify the truth. As long as I do not go out, what can the police do about me?"

Because of these improper notions and my lack of righteous thoughts, the old forces found a loophole. As a result, the police enforced an even closer watch on me. I had a high fever for four days and four nights and could not eat. Even drinking water made me vomit. Then I had diarrhea and had to use the toilet a dozen times each day. I thought maybe I should be more diligent in studying the Fa and practicing the exercises. But it still did not improve my situation.

While sleeping one night, I had a dream that I was at a crossroads but could not find any car or bus to get on. The road became narrower and narrower and at last there was no longer any road left. When the dream ended, I asked myself "What are you here for? Do you still want to continue like this?" I recalled that the Teacher pulled me out of hell, purified my filthy body, let me obtain the Fa and nurtured me carefully all the way until today. Endless tears came to my eyes. I have the Teacher. I have the Fa. Yet I still fear to this degree. Who have I not disappointed? I am not even responsible for my own life. How can I live up to what the Teacher taught me? Gradually I had my righteous thoughts back and realized that I could not stop or wait another minute to clarify the truth and save the sentient beings. I must seize every minute. Thus I returned to the mighty current of Fa rectification. After this my body felt very light and so different, even while walking.

It is just as taught in Teacher's poem, "No Obstacles" in Hong Yin II,
Cultivation paths are different
Yet all are within Dafa
With no attachment to anything
The path underfoot is naturally clear

I am now clear about my responsibility. I should get down to business and do the three things well as the Teacher taught us to do.

Here, through the Minghui website, I want to say a few words from my heart to those practitioners who are still staying at home due to the attachment of fear: be quick in getting rid of your ordinary people's attachments and come out! As long as you are in the Fa, nothing bad can really happen to you. Please think about how hard it was for you to obtain the Fa. Also remember that Teacher cleared away all of the bad substances from our bodies. Some practitioners had all kinds of diseases prior to practicing Falun Gong. Aren't they now in very good health? Please come out! Help distribute truth-clarifying materials. If you write a letter to clarify the truth of Falun Gong each day, then that will be 30 letters a month. As long as you have righteous thoughts about saving all sentient beings, the Fa will endow you with endless wisdom. For this precious opportunity for which you have waited countless years, please get rid of the attachment of fear and come out.
