Second Announcement for the Photo Exhibit of Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa

(Clearwisdom.net) Soon after the announcement of the "Photo Exhibit of Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa" was made, the Photo Exhibit Preparatory Committee received photos submitted from numerous Falun Dafa practitioners and from righteous people who support Falun Gong. Fellow practitioners had taken some of these photos when they attended large-scale Dafa activities; some were taken at practice sites in their local areas; some were taken at home; still others were taken by our fellow Chinese citizens (non-practitioners) who risked their lives to submit photos about Dafa practitioners suffering persecution. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of them.

Over 90% of the practitioners who submitted photos never had professional photography training; however, most of them have realized the unique and irreplaceable effect of the photographic medium for validating Dafa. Without any hesitation, without being overly concerned with technical challenges, they have captured and accumulated photos recording the history of Dafa's wide propagation and thus preserved invaluable historical material for Dafa.

Everyone knows the significance of photos. Their authenticity is an unmatchable feature that no other art form could provide. They can therefore serve as evidence, as reference, and can record the past for people to look back at history.

It has been over 10 years since Falun Dafa's first introduction to the public. In the mighty current of Fa-rectification, none of the forms with which Dafa disciples display themselves in human society are accidental. Propagating Dafa and validating Dafa through the medium of art is an important step Dafa disciples should take. For example, with the success of the International Art Exhibition, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," also known as the "Uncompromising Courage" exhibition being shown in various places for a period of time, practitioners have gradually improved their understanding regarding the importance of the art exhibition. At present, practitioners are holding such exhibitions in many locations and their impact continues to grow.

Therefore, the Photo Exhibit Preparatory Committee for Photographs of Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa calls for more practitioners to actively participate in photo submissions for this photo exhibit. We hope you will submit Dafa-related photos in your possession to our committee, even though you may have just one such photo. We also hope you'll relay the message to others and encourage them to send their photos our way.

At the same time, the Photo Exhibit Preparatory Committee for Photographs of Falun Dafa Practitioners Validating the Fa sincerely invites all righteous people in Mainland China, particularly those policemen who know the inside story, to send us photos of Dafa disciples suffering persecution. These photos can be used to clarify the truth to people and offer salvation to living beings. Those who send such photos to us will be displaying their conscience and kindness in the face of all living beings and bringing a bright future for their own lives. In the near future, you will see the magnificence of such a great act. (To ensure your safety, when we exhibit your photos, we will edit the photos you send us so that your identity will not be revealed.)

Considering the special situation in Mainland China, we have decided to extend the submission deadline to March 30, 2005.
