Medical Technologist Zhan Ye'an of Guiyang City Tortured to Death in 2003

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhan Ye'an was a medical technologist at the Guiyang City Medical Institute Hospital in Guizhou Province. She was arrested in Shanghai for clarifying the truth in August 2002, and sentenced to forced labor in Guizhou Province Women Labor Camp in September 2002. She was tortured to death at the end of June 2003.

Ms. Zhan Ye'an, 57 years old, went to Shanghai to visit family and clarified the truth to the public in August 2002. She was arrested by Shanghai police, and the police from Guiyang City sent her to Zhongba Women Labor Camp. She went on a hunger strike immediately at the camp. She was so steadfast in her belief that they tortured her viciously, until she was paralyzed. She survived on intravenous fluids for a while, but died at the end of June 2003. The officials were very scared of their crimes being revealed so they withheld the news of ''her death for a long time.

In 2003, more than one hundred female practitioners were detained at Zhongba Labor Camp. Two other practitioners were also tortured to death in that Camp:

Ms. Han Ming, 30, employee of Pingshui Machine Factory in Pingba County, was injected with four tubes of unknown drugs after being tied up by eight guards, and all her muscles became atrophic and gradually paralyzed. She died on March 20, 2003.

Ms. Zou Qianzhu, 44, was tortured to death on October 22, 2004, and her body was secretly cremated by the guards.
