My Father's Process of Resignation from the CCP

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a practitioner in China who has been homeless for three years due to the persecution. During this time, I have only gone home once. Because of this situation, my father was very angry and said something against Falun Dafa. My mother and my daughter also practice Falun Gong, and they had been clarifying the truth to my father but have had very few breakthroughs with him.

My father joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) when he was a teenager. Now he is about 60 years old and has been a Party member for over 40 years. When he was young, he took part in all the CCP activities. He was chosen as a model worker many times, and he was the director of a hospital. During those years, he closely followed the CCP. In recent years, however, after seeing the CCP's corruption and its persecution of Falun Gong, he has said, "The CCP's persecution of people is terrible." He knows the CCP is bad.

This time when I went to visit my parents, I asked him read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party before I talked with him. When I gave him the Nine Commentaries, he asked, "Why do you participate in this thing?" implying that I was getting political. I explained to him this was not getting political. "Since Jiang Zemin colluded with this evil Party to persecute Falun Gong, why shouldn't we expose its evil nature?" The next day, I asked him if he had finished reading the Nine Commentaries. He put me off by saying that his thinking was slow and he couldn't read it. I knew that the malicious influence of the CCP had caused him to say that, and I was a little anxious. Then I suddenly thought of Teacher telling us about cleaning out bad qigong books in Zhuan Falun. Of course! My mother and I rummaged through the cabinets and found all the certificates related to my father's Party membership, his card and dues receipts, and burned them. We found a pile of Party Membership Life journals, one of which had a picture of Jiang. Immediately, my mother and I burned it up.

We dealt with these things in the morning, and in the afternoon I sent forth righteous thoughts for a while, but I still didn't feel confident that my father would understand. Suddenly an idea flashed through my mind, "If I treated my father as I did my daughter, he would definitely come to understand." I thought back and remembered that I had spent a great deal of time with my daughter in order to let her improve her understanding. She indeed did very well and declared her withdrawal from the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. Yet here I was being uncompassionate and impatient with my father. Two hours before I left, I went to my father. I talked patiently with him about how evil the CCP is and that the persecution we have suffered was perpetrated by this evil communist cult. I also told him that many people were confident that without the CCP, our society would truly become prosperous and free. At first he didn't think so. He said he knew that the CCP was not good, but he didn't want society to be in confusion, and at least it gave him a monthly salary. I then listed some examples of how people in countries governed by the Communist Party were always having to cope with disasters. People in countries without the Communist Party or where the Communist Party had disintegrated were living in prosperity and peace. Within twenty minutes, my father started to agree with me. I asked him, now that he realized the CCP was so evil, why stay in it? I told him it was valid to use a pseudonym to resign from the CCP. He immediately stated that he would resign.

During this time with my father, I experienced Teacher's boundless benevolence and righteous power. Before leaving, I sincerely urged my father to read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He cried, and I knew that he no longer had any resentment towards me but was expressing his human sentiment for me.

My uncle has also been a Party member for over 40 years. Before I left, he gave me 400 yuan. I declined to accept it. He said, "This is not for you but for your work." I was surprised. In 1999, because he was afraid of my mother getting in trouble due to the persecution, my uncle forced my mother to destroy her Falun Dafa books - yet here he was supporting Dafa! The evil factors have become less and less, and the world's people have become more and more clearheaded. Fellow practitioners, hurry up and withdraw from the Communist Party, the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers. As long as we pay attention to this matter and cultivate ourselves continually and truly think of the world's people, the evil specter of the CCP won't exert any more control because it is doomed to be eliminated.
