Australia: "Please Accept My Heartfelt Wishes to Falun Gong" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Starting from January 2005, on each Thursday and Friday, teams formed by Falun Gong practitioners in Brisbane, Australia tour around and hold anti-torture exhibitions and truth-clarifying photo displays at several busy places in downtown Brisbane, where a dense flow of people comes and goes. In all kinds of weather, practitioners persistently hold the exhibition to introduce Falun Gong to people and to expose the brutal persecution launched by the Chinese Communist regime against Falun Gong.

The practitioners work together harmoniously. Each time, when a full van of truth-clarifying poster boards, materials and props for the re-enactment of torture methods are unloaded from the vehicle, the practitioners just do whatever job needs to be done. Some practitioners immediately set up the props and re-enact the torture methods used against fellow practitioners in China, while others distribute flyers and explain the facts to passersby.

The practitioners have seen many touching stories each time they hold the activity and the effect has been quite good. Here we only briefly report some of the stories.

The torture reenactment conducted by two practitioners often draws many people's attention. People stopped to carefully watch them. Some even come over and carefully look at the "bloody" hands of a practitioner who demonstrates the torture method of "digging bamboo sticks under the nails." People are shocked by the scene and the description on the posters, which reflect the persecution experienced by Falun Gong practitioners in China. They said that they could not imagine that in the 21^st Century, such cruel violence is still happening in China. One after another, people sign the petition to express their support of Falun Gong practitioners in opposing the persecution and condemning the perpetrators.

One day, a young man came over and said to a practitioner, "Last week, after I passed by your booth and listened to your introduction, I read the material you gave me and then I went online to research more information about the Chinese authorities' suppression against Falun Gong. I admire and support you for your persistent and peaceful appeals in order to uphold your belief and justice, and to oppose the persecution. You use your own time and even money to do such a great thing, and you do it completely for the sake of saving other people. Today, I came to look for you. I want to express my regard to you: My heart is with you! I'm standing by your side and will exert my efforts on your behalf to strive for the freedom of belief. Please accept my heartfelt good wishes toward Falun Gong!"

While reading the description on posters, an elderly lady wept and murmured to herself, "Why? Why? Is there still heaven's law?" After a practitioner explained her question of "why," she understood the facts and signed the petition. She wanted to have a blank petition form so that she could bring it back to her family members and friends. She said, "I believe that if I tell them about the persecution you have encountered, they will definitely sign the petition without any hesitation, just like me."

A mother and her 4-or-5-year-old son passed by. The mother slowed down and viewed the posters. Suddenly the little boy cast off his mother's hand and walked toward the practitioners who re-enact the torture methods. He squatted down and sincerely asked, "Do you feel pain? Which bad guy made you like this?" Then he went back to his mother and asked her to dress the practitioner's wounds.

On one occasion, a practitioner named Mrs. Xu brought her 3-year-old granddaughter, Miaoshan, to join the activity. Little Miaoshan took some flyers and tried to hand them out. But because she is so little, she could not draw many people's attention. After she stood there for a while, she saw someone coming over to sign the petition. She went over and held a flyer above her head. After the person signed the petition, he saw her and the flyer in her hand, and then took it with a smile. He gently touched her head and kept saying, "Thank you!"
