(Clearwisdom.net) On April 13, 2005, the "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" Art Exhibition was held for the first time in Sacramento, the capital of California.

The exhibition displayed eight artworks including "Buddha Image," "Cultivation," "Smoke and Ash," and "Golden Lotus" all of which were made by Falun Gong practitioners. The works exhibited Falun Gong practitioners' uncompromising courage in upholding their belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," exposed the Chinese Communist regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong, and showed practitioners' worldwide endeavors to stop the persecution.
The exhibition was held outside the State Capitol and attracted many staff members from the Capitol as well as tourists who came to visit the Capitol. Moved by the artworks, a lot of people took the initiative to talk with practitioners and to ask for additional information.
The following are accounts of people's reactions to the exhibition:
One visitor used his cell phone to take pictures of several of the paintings.
A writer expressed his deep concern over China's current issues. After he was given a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, he said that he would definitely read the articles through.
After learning about the truth of Falun Dafa, a Chinese person who works in the State Capitol said that it is a shame for the Chinese Communist Party to persecute Falun Gong.
One woman took an extra copy of each kind of informational material, saying that she was taking them for her neighbor.
A Christian couple initially had some misunderstanding towards Falun Dafa, but after they learned the facts, they sincerely said, "We wish you success!"
An elderly woman who practiced Yoga saw the art exhibition from afar and felt the strong energy field. She kept saying, "Excellent, excellent!" She especially came over and asked for the informational materials and asked to learn the exercises.
A young man came over twice to view the paintings. The second time he came, he brought his friends to view the paintings.
The art exhibition was shown in the Capital of California for the first time. In the near future, more works by practitioners will be displayed, and more people will learn about the beauty of Falun Dafa and the brutal persecution in China.
(Clearwisdom.net) The University of Kwazulu-Natal is a comprehensive university that has a nearly 100-year history in South Africa. On April 14, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners held a seminar at the university concerning the human rights violations suffered by fellow practitioners in China. During the one-hour seminar, practitioners introduced Falun Dafa to the students and faculty members, and discussed the brutality of the persecution the practice has encountered. They talked about the reason why Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party persecute such a virtuous practice, which has brought great health and moral benefits to millions of people.

Practitioner Ms. Lin Li, who was unlawfully detained three times and sentenced to one year and six months in a labor camp in China for not giving up her practice of Falun Gong, narrated the persecution she suffered in China. She also shared her experience about how the Chinese Communist authority attempted to prevent her from practicing Falun Gong in South Africa, but eventually failed to achieve their goal. Students and faculty members listened attentively throughout the seminar. Some of the students from the Law Department study human rights issues in class. They expressed their deep concern over the persecution encountered by Falun Dafa practitioners in China, and they wanted to learn more about Falun Gong.
The practitioners also set up a practice site on campus.
(Clearwisdom.net) On April 16, 2005, an annual festival welcoming the autumn was held in the city of Yagoona, in the Sydney area. Falun Gong, as a community group, was invited to take part in the celebration activities. Practitioners demonstrated Falun Gong exercises and exhibited Tang Dynasty costumes.
The mayor of Yagoona posed for a picture with Falun Gong practitioners after her speech. She listened carefully to practitioners' opinions regarding Foreign Minister Mr. Downer's issuance of certificates every month which prevent Falun Gong practitioners from displaying Falun Gong banners in front of the Chinese Embassy in Canberra.

(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday 2nd April, as part of the anti-torture exhibition that is touring the country to help people learn more about the persecution against Falun Gong, a group of Italian practitioners went to Aosta. This city is the provincial capital of the Valle d'Aosta self-governing district in northern Italy. Valle d'Aosta is bordered by the Alps and France. It has Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc, and is famous for its tourism and ski resorts.

On the streets in the town centre, under the remains of the Roman gate Porta Pretoria, we set up our display boards and held an anti-torture exhibition. Local people taking a walk at the weekend and tourists all stopped to watch the re-enactments of the torture methods employed by the Chinese Communist Party in attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. Many people, after reading the display boards, signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution to show their sympathy and support. A middle-aged man said, "I thought China was more open and developed now, but I didn't assume that these things are happening. Could they possibly have lied to us?"
A father took his son for a walk and passed our torture-exhibition, so they stopped and held a long conversation with practitioners. Afterwards, both father and son signed the petition. Because the son was not yet an adult, he asked beforehand if he was allowed to sign. We told this righteous young man that his signature will be just as effective as an adult's because it was his heart that expressed his support for compassionate people. There was an old couple with a pushchair. When the wife signed, she gave the petition to her husband to sign. Then they took the leaflet which a practitioner handed to them and left, after thanking us. Another middle-aged person spoke with an admiring tone after talking to a practitioner: "You are as peaceful and steadfast as Ghandi. I wish you good luck!"
This three-hour activity passed very quickly, just like it does every time. Looking at the endless flow of people who had lined up waiting to sign the petition or had come to read our displays, we really didn't want to leave.

Straubing's first information day

After continuing to hold activities locally, last month practitioners in Chamer felt that they should also visit some of the surrounding areas. On the 8th of March, International Women's Day, they applied for an information day in Straubing. A local newspaper published a notice, making it possible for readers to learn about the information day in advance.

This was the first time that any Falun Gong activities had been held in this town. The activity went smoothly and the weather was warm. Many passers by came and signed our petition to stop the persecution. When a Straubing citizen heard that we were collecting signatures calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong, she expressed her support immediately. She told us that when she was in New York, Falun Gong activities were taking place all over the city. Another lady asked for leaflets to place in her workplace, so that people there could find out more.
As the weather turned warmer and because there was a big market nearby, people passed by in an endless stream. Huge crowds of people got to know that Jiang Zemin is being sued for the crime of Genocide against Falun Gong and will be brought to justice in a court of law.
On International Women's Day, Falun Gong practitioners and the International Human Rights Committee jointly collected signatures for persecuted female practitioners in China
In China, women are being inhumanely persecuted for their beliefs. Mr. Roemer, a representative of IHRC, proposed to set up a stall in Chamer city centre and collect petition signatures for persecuted women on International Women's Day. He was joined by local Falun Gong practitioners.
In the three hours of the activity, although the weather was cold and wet, there were still many people coming to sign the petition. A large number of people passing by the stall mentioned a detailed report in Chamer's daily newspaper about Xiong Wei. Xiong Wei was a Falun Gong practitioner who lived in Germany before returning to China. She was imprisoned for handing out Falun Gong leaflets but a large-scale rescue campaign by the German public and government saw her return to Germany last year. Many people who had read this report wanted to support us by signing the petition. It looked as if the report left a deep impression in the minds of Chamer citizens.

Anti-torture exhibition in Chamer
Through Chamer practitioners' continual efforts in raising awareness, lots of people understood that Falun Gong is being wrongly persecuted. Nevertheless, it is still very hard for people living in free, democratic countries to imagine how a despotic communist regime controls the thoughts and behaviour of its citizens. On the last weekend of March, practitioners decided to hold an anti-torture exhibition.
On the day before the exhibition, the rain fell ceaselessly but on the following morning, just when we finished all the preparation work, the dark clouds dissolved completely. Sunlight poured into the central market place and it was very warm. People shopping for Easter stopped in front of a small cage where one could neither stand up nor lie down. They carefully read the text stuck on the corner of the cage explaining that this is one of the torture methods used in cruel attempts to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their beliefs. Then they walked to our stall, signed our petition and expressed their support.
There were many tourists from all over the world who had come to spend their holiday in Chamer that signed the petition. A Polish girl took some flyers in Polish and signed the petition calling for former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin to be brought to justice for his role in instigating the persecution against Falun Gong. She said she saw Falun Gong in Warsaw, Poland's capital, and wanted to find out more. All through the activity, practitioners tried their best to help people understand the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong.

(Clearwisdom.net) Clearwisdom Weekly published some stories on the recollections of our Teacher's Fa-lectures in Mainland China, which brought back my own memories....
1. Buying Ticket - Returning Ticket - Buying Returned Ticket
It was in late June 1994. I learned that Teacher Li, founder of Falun Dafa, was going to give Fa-lectures in the gymnasium of the Dalian Engine Factory, and I asked one of my factory colleagues to purchase a ticket for me. The lecture series was scheduled to start on July 1.
However, at the end of June, I was suddenly assigned to go out of town on a business trip. I did not realize that it was interference, so I asked the colleague to return the ticket. I returned from my business trip in a hurry, but it was already July 3.
Normally I would have waited for the next round of lectures, since Teacher had already taught the first two lectures. However, this time, I could not sit quietly at home. I was anxious to listen to the lectures. Therefore, I went to the gymnasium early that night. I was quite determined that if there was a returned ticket, I would buy it and go in. If there was no returned ticket, I would stand outside to listen. Fortunately, someone offered me a returned ticket right after I arrived at the gymnasium. I was extremely happy. I thought to myself, how could it be so coincidental?
Now I understand. It was the precious thought I sent forth, and Master arranged the opportunity for me to obtain the Fa! Later, Master said during the Fa-lecture that it was not that everybody could enter the Fa-lecture. Some people wanted to come but they could not. It was the predestined relationship that allowed us to attend.
2. Seeing Master Twice
There were about 2,700 seats in the gymnasium. It was filled with over 4,000 people, many of whom sat on the floor in an orderly fashion. Later I learned many of those who came from out of town were unable to get tickets with seat numbers. The atmosphere in the gymnasium was solemn and comfortable. I had attended many other Qigong lectures but I had never had this feeling before. I did not know the reason at that time. Later, I learned from Master's lectures that it was the energy field brought about by cultivation in the righteous Fa.
I sat in a place far from the stage and I could not see our Master clearly. However, I saw that Master did not have a script for the lecture. Master only took out a piece of paper, unfolded it, and placed it on the desk. He only occasionally glanced over the paper. It was hot in July. There was a bottle of mineral water on the desk. However, I never saw Master drinking it.
One day, not long after the beginning of the lecture, I heard Master saying that we should put down our fans, the more we used the fans the hotter we would feel, it was not bad to suffer a little, if a person could complete cultivation by merely suffering a little from the heat, it would be too easy.... Then I noticed that Master never held a fan. He only pulled the collar of his shirt up a little occasionally. From that time on, I stopped using a fan. For ten years, I have never thought of using a fan no matter how hot it gets.
When Master was delivering the lecture, his voice was loud and clear. The words were so calm, concrete, and powerful. The principles he conveyed were profound yet explicit and comprehensible. Each sentence went deeply into my heart. After one session, I found that my world view had changed, as if Master had opened a door in front of me. Many perplexing questions in my life had been solved. I was no longer learning Qigong for fitness and health, and I was to practice cultivation. That sense of bliss and happiness cannot be described. It shone in my heart, and after years of chronic illness, my body felt as if it was being lifted up.
By then, I could not help but develop respect for Master. It came naturally from my heart. I wanted to get a good look at Teacher (that was how we all addressed Master Li). At the end of the lecture on the first day, I waited outside the gate, and I didn't see Master until everybody was gone. The next day, when the lecture was over, Master told us to take a rest and then he would begin to teach the next set of exercises. I rushed to the front and saw that Master had come down from the podium and was sitting on the side talking to someone. Facing Master, I pressed both my palms in front of my chest respectfully. Master did not turn around until after I had put down my hands. I eventually saw Master. He looked so young, not like someone in their forties. He was so solemn, yet so amiable and respectable. Although I did not know who Master was, I felt immeasurable happiness and privilege for being able to follow such a Master to study the exercises.
A full six months passed and it was December 29. I learned that Master was to give a Fa-lecture again in Dalian. It was fortunate that I was able to join fellow practitioners to welcome Master at the airport. Out of thorough considerations, practitioners at the assistance center did not broadly notify practitioners. Only a few of us knew about this. Even so, practitioners who went there filled the entire airport lobby. In order to avoid inconvenience to other passengers, some of us advised practitioners to wait outside the lobby. Although it was a little cold no one seemed to care. Instantaneously, all the practitioners left the lobby in an orderly way and waited along both sides of the exit door. The lines extended all the way to the airport square. Practitioners waited quietly. Every now and then someone would ask who was arriving that day to be greeted by such a crowd. Practitioners in the front row replied in pride, "It's our Teacher!"
Dusk set in and the sky was clear. One plane after another landed. I dared not blink my eyes. Suddenly, I saw an orange-colored cloud, and then a plane flew into and came out of it. I was amazed. About ten minutes later, Master walked out of the lobby, holding flowers received from practitioners. Master wore an ordinary looking cotton-padded coat, black exterior with yellow lining (the coat seen in the portrait in Explaining the Content of Falun Dafa). Practitioners could not hold back their excitement upon seeing Master, and they rushed forward around Master. Many people asked curiously, "Who is this person of such esteem?"
I was standing to the right side in front of Master. It was the second time I met Master up close. I shouted in excitement, "Greetings Teacher Li!" Master replied with a smile, "Greetings! Greetings!"
Later when practitioners recalled that scene, we were still excited but also regretful. We had been anxious to meet Master and forgot to show him our respect. In our later cultivation, we became further and further aware of who Master is, and we became even more regretful.
3. Party Secretary's Feeling
On December 30, 1994, Master gave a speech at the Dalian Stadium, which was the last speech in Mainland China. The seating capacity of the indoor stadium was 6,600. The setting was tidy and solemn. Throughout the speech, except for waves of applause, there was no sound at all. The speech lasted for three hours. When it was over, Master stepped down from the podium and walked around the stadium. The audience all stood up. When Master came near where I stood, a stream of warm air flew by. Everybody felt it. Applause exploded and lasted for a long time.
On my way out, I overheard staff members who followed Master asking, "Who sat at X seat on X row?" I immediately replied, "I distributed that ticket. Why?" It turned out that when delivering the speech, Master sensed that the person in that seat was wondering how over 6,000 people could remain so quiet. Out of all the meetings he ever attended in the past, a countless number of large-scale meetings, he always felt either sleepy, bored, or dizzy.
I gave this ticket to the Party Secretary of our factory myself. The second day I asked him, "How did you feel when you were listening to yesterday's speech?" He answered, "It was wonderful! I have attended countless meetings of all sizes, including those for government officials. I have never had such an experience. The stadium remained so quiet for over three hours. I could hear each word so clearly. You've got to notify me when your Master comes again." I told him that our Teacher knew about everything he thought in the stadium, and he was really surprised. His respect toward Master was beyond description.
Ten full years have passed. Whenever I recall the scenes from those days when Master taught lectures in Dalian, I feel as if it were only yesterday. In the tumultuous days that have followed, whenever I think of our Master of highest esteem, my heart is filled with strength to overcome the evil. Great Master crisscrossed the country and traveled around the world offering salvation to sentient beings regardless of hardship. As Master's disciple, I will follow Master step by step to assist in Fa-rectification, fulfill my mission, and deserve the title of Dafa disciples of the Fa-rectification period.
(Clearwisdom.net) I am 56 years old. I dropped out of school after the 4th grade. I rarely read books and newspapers before I started practicing Falun Dafa, let alone write articles. I felt helpless with my 4th grade education when I saw the Minghui (the Chinese Clearwisdom) website asking for articles. My fellow practitioners encouraged me repeatedly and thus I wrote this article. I truly feel that Falun Dafa has opened up my wisdom.
I Learned the Purpose of Life after Practicing Falun Dafa
I lost my parents when I was little and lived with my brother and his wife. I was in an abusive situation and the family was really poor. This continued still after I was married. Before I started to practice Falun Gong, I had many illnesses and was very pessimistic and disappointed with life. It was very hard to get through each day.
When I was in a very difficult situation, I met a friend in the spring of 1996 who highly recommended Falun Gong to me. I really wanted to learn Falun Gong and went to that friend's place to borrow the precious book, Zhuan Falun. After I read the book, many of the questions I had about life were answered. I was very happy and from then on and I started on the path of cultivation. I persisted in attending the daily group Fa study and exercise sessions. I quickly regained my health and reached the point of being free of illness. I experienced the miracle of Dafa and felt appreciation to Teacher and Dafa from the bottom of my heart. Teacher and Dafa saved my life and made me realize the purpose of being a human. I was determined to practice until I succeeded.
Determined Not to Do Anything That Damages Dafa
In July 1999, the government suddenly started the suppression of Falun Gong nationwide. After only several days, an official from the community committee broke into my house and forced me to turn in my Falun Gong books. I refused. The committee official said the police and officers from the community committee would come to get the books if I refused to give them to her. My husband was very worried and I didn't know what to do. There were quite a few Falun Gong books in my house that belonged to the study group. My husband told me to give the official a couple of the books and get it over with. In order to keep the rest of the books, I turned in two books without thinking righteously. I regretted it afterwards.
Five days later, my righteous thoughts emerged and I decided to ask for the books back. I went to the community committee official to ask for the books. She told me she turned in the books to the city and that I couldn't get them back. I was very sad and disappointed. I caused a loss to Dafa because I didn't do well.
I told the people there the facts about Falun Gong and asked them not to persecute Dafa. Later on, one day, a practitioner asked me if I wanted to sign an appeal letter to the government. At that time, everyone knew that signing the letter might result in arrest and persecution. Still, I thought that I couldn't just protect my own safety; I had to validate Dafa and say something just. So I signed the letter. There were over 40 people who signed at that time.
After I signed, I felt a huge pressure lift off my shoulders; like something which had congested in my heart suddenly melted away. The pain from turning in the books dissipated. I knew I did something right and that I washed off the karma that I had made from turning in the books. I made up my mind that from then on I would never do things that let Teacher and Dafa down.
Validating Dafa in Beijing
In the end of 1999, my fellow practitioners and I went to Beijing to appeal. I was very happy when I got to the appeals office (1) in Beijing. Finally I would get to tell the truth about Falun Dafa to the nation's leaders. Upon our arrival that day, the receptionist said the office would be closed. The people in front of me were discouraged upon hearing the news. I was very worried, thinking that I would have wasted my trip here if I couldn't even deliver the appeal letter. I went there to validate Dafa and I just had to deliver the letter. Even if only one person read my letter, that would make the trip successful.
I didn't leave and when I had a chance, I quickly submitted the appeal letter. I was the only person who did it, and the staff called the police next door who took me and another practitioner to the Beijing police station. There were more than 10 practitioners there from different provinces. A policeman interrogated us one by one and scolded us at the same time. After the interrogation, they turned us in to our provincial government's liaison offices in Beijing. We were detained there for 5 days before we were released.
After I got home, my husband was very mad at me and invited all my relatives to our house to talk to me. They couldn't understand why I did what I did. I told my relatives that the government persecuted Falun Dafa and slandered Teacher. I couldn't just benefit from the practice and not stand up for it. I had to act according to my conscience.
Tearing Down Every Evil Flyer I Saw
One day at the end of 2002, my husband went to pick up our granddaughter. After he came back, he told me that there was an announcement posted at the school entrance saying, "Catching a Falun Gong practitioner is rewarded with 500 to 1000 yuan." It was put up to persecute Dafa and practitioners. I was very worried upon hearing about it. I couldn't let the evil do this at will.
To prevent people from creating karma, I decided to tear down those flyers. Later I found that they were everywhere, to the point that they could be described as "covering heaven and earth." I decided that I must tear down all of the flyers. If I couldn't do it during the daytime, I'd do it at night. I would not overlook a single one regardless of how hard it was to remove it. At that time, the evil was still very rampant and my husband wouldn't let me out at night. I used the excuse of taking a walk after dinner from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
There were many people and cars on the street at that time period and most of the flyers were posted on the walls near the major streets. It was hard to remove the flyers without being seen in the heavy traffic. The first time I tried to tear off a flyer, I saw the stamp of the police department and I was a little scared. I later realized that the "scared" feeling was an attachment of self. I needed to let it go and shouldn't allow the evil to persecute me this way. I wasn't as scared after I had this thought. As long as there was not a car or a person on the road, I would tear off a flyer. Some flyers were stuck to the wall very tight and were hard to remove. It took a few tries and a long time since there were so many cars and people on the street.
But no matter what, if I saw one, I would remove one. I removed many of them each day and this continued for almost 20 days. In fact, not only I was doing that, but many other practitioners removed the flyers as soon as they saw them.
One day I was caught by a policeman hiding in a police car when I was in the middle of removing a flyer. The officer took me back to the station and I refused to cooperate during the interrogation. Policemen kicked me, punched me, pulled my hair, and punched my head for over half an hour. They threatened to beat me to death, but I was not afraid. I knew there was nothing to be afraid of as long as I had attained the Fa. Later the police locked me in an isolated room which was freezing cold. I started to recite the Fa and Teacher's articles in my mind and soon I was not cold anymore. I felt it was the power of Dafa and Teacher protecting me. I was determined to do what I should do well and not allow the evil to win. My family looked for me the whole night and found me the next morning. They asked favors from many people to help release me. After they worked really hard, the police released me that night. My husband was very angry after I got home. I tried to clarify the truth to him. I kept in mind that I was a practitioner and I needed to improve my xinxing and not fight with him. But I knew that I must continue to do what I should do.
Steadfast Until the End and Follow Teacher Home
The persecution of Falun Gong has gone on for 5 years and the police have come many times to my house to harass me. Night and day, they often break in and try to arrest me. My husband's heart became weak after many traumatic incidents. Though the evil was rampant during these years, I never stopped the practice. No matter what, I am a practitioner and should do the three things Teacher asks us to do well and deny the old forces' arrangement completely. I want to eliminate my insufficiencies with the practice and do better in the future and not disappoint Teacher's compassionate salvation. I must be steadfast to the end and follow Teacher home.

(1) The appeals office - A governmental agency which is guaranteed by the Chinese constitution by which citizens can resort to for their grievances or report if their cases have been handled improperly by local officials.
(Clearwisdom.net) The day before yesterday, I went to my uncle's (my father's younger cousin) home to see my eldest aunt (my father's eldest sister) who was visiting from far away, and was going back home next day. While going, I had just one thought, "I wanted to have them learn the truth about Falun Dafa and be saved." I took a copy of the book Zhuan Falun with me, two sets of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party," and some related materials.
The entire morning, I spoke from my heart and they listened attentively. I talked about what Dafa is, the situation of its being widely spread in the world, the brutal persecution suffered in China since 1999, what the Communist party had done since its establishment, the big occurrence of people quitting the Party, as well as the important and great significance of writing statements of leaving the party. Because I went with the hope of saving sentient beings, and had a quite tranquil state of mind, my thoughts were clear, my speech was smooth, with wisdom, and was continuous. I knew it was our Master who was strengthening me. The truth was clarified with ease, and had truly entered the hearts of the people who were listening. They had come to understand the truth.
But in the process, I also perceived some evil interference. An obvious manifestation was the disturbance of my fourth grandfather (the fourth brother of my grandfather). The old man was already 84 years old, but his state of mind was sober, his ears were not deaf, his eyes were not blurry, and his body was healthy. He had been a senior Party member for several dozen years. At the beginning, he focused on listening to me talking about the truth of Dafa. Later, when I mentioned something related to the Communist party, he first looked absent-minded, and fell asleep after a while. I knew it was the evil that was disturbing him, not allowing him to listen. Therefore, I sent righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil that was disturbing him, so he could wake up and learn the truth. After a little while he became spirited. I told him, "the Nine Commentaries were very good" and I urged him to take a look. He complied instantly. Without being aware that three hours had passed, we talked with a very good effect.
However, when lunchtime came, an unanticipated thing happened. My fourth grandpa, who was fine just a moment ago, was suddenly unable to move his right hand. His chopsticks also fell out of his hand. He was drooling out the corner of his mouth. His false teeth also fell out. "Hum...mm", he seemed to say, which was a weeping sound that was mixed with language, not heard clearly. His legs went soft, and he was unable to stand up at all. He was showing the symptoms of having a stroke.
Because it happened so abruptly, my Aunt-in-law was frightened with her whole body shivering, and hurried to call for an emergency rescue. My aunt was scared to cry. At the same time she kept saying, "Well, why can he be like this? What's the reason behind it?" I realized immediately that this was certainly not the common illness of an average man, but was due to the evil Communist spirit's disturbance. This was because during the truth clarifying process that morning, the evil Communist spirit possessing my grandpa's body had been touched. It was a kind of manifestation. When facing imminent disintegration, it put up a last-ditch struggle.
I said to my aunt and aunt-in-law, "Don't be anxious and afraid. He won't have any problem." After having said this, I silently sent out strong righteous thoughts from the bottom of my heart, thinking "thoroughly eradicate the Communist evil spirit and all evil factors in other dimensions, which were persecuting my grandpa's body. Firmly disintegrate and destroy all evil factors disturbing me to clarify the truth and to save sentient beings. Let my grandpa be good, immediately." I asked Master to strengthen me. In less than five minutes after this thought was sent out, my grandpa's state of mind became sober. His hands and feet were also agile and he could move. He no longer drooled. He was as healthy as before, and he held his rice bowl to eat food quite well again. My family members felt very surprised. After formerly having been too frightened to cry, my aunt turned into being too excited to cry.
This matter has made me feel very deeply the power of a righteous mind. It let me even more firmly believe the Master's Fa without a doubt that
"Disciples have sufficient righteous minds;
Master have the power of returning heaven."

Through this matter, I further realized the significant responsibilities of Dafa disciples. Today, anything we encounter is not accidental. Neither is it a minor issue. All of it is closely related to our own cultivation practice and saving of sentient beings. One thought and one mind. Every moment and everything must be treated with a righteous mind. Especially at the present time, as the big tidal wave of quitting the Party has appeared. The evil Communist spirits are like a hornet's nest being garrulously destroyed. There is no place those breathless evil factors won't drill. They have filled every aspect and field. Although they have come to an end, they will inevitably play their evil roles as long as they still exist.
Righteous thoughts come from the Fa. Only when we study the Fa with tranquil minds can we maintain sober minds. We must strictly and clearly distinguish a human being on the surface and evil factors in other dimensions manipulating a person. As to the evils in other dimensions, strengthen your righteous minds and eradicate them. Don't be lenient at all. As to the human beings, be merciful and kind. We must have patience and persistent wills when clarifying the truth. A person is not irrevocable. As long as the Fa-rectification has not ended, he or she still has an opportunity. Do not haggle over what others' attitudes are. We should do the three things well, that Dafa disciples must do. Do not seek results. But the results often depend on a Dafa disciple's heart. We have come to save all sentient beings. We should do so with our hearts.
These are my personal understandings. Fellow practitioners, please kindly point out anything that appears improper.

(Clearwisdom.net) In the past several years, in spite of the vicious persecution of practitioners, we have followed Teacher in Fa rectification and saving sentient beings. However, some practitioners' attachment to the times when the persecution ends and when we reach consummation, as well as them hoping that some ordinary person, organization or some political gathering could help to end the persecution, caused damage to Fa rectification and the practitioners' own improvement. The attachment has also been used by the evil to interfere and disrupt Fa rectification. The lesson is heavy and painful. Of course, some practitioners don't want to strive forward in their practice and don't care about time. They find all kinds of excuses for themselves for not clarifying the truth and following the Fa rectification process. This is a different situation, cause by different attachments and human notions, and it needs to be discussed in another article. This article talks about practitioners who have an attachment to the ending times.
With the speedy progress of Fa rectification, we feel more and more the urgency to save sentient beings.
"The Year of Yiyou has begun. During this year, Fa-rectification's enormous force will bring changes to mankind." ("New Year's Greetings")
"Without human action happening under cosmic changes, such conditions would not have been brought to ordinary human society, and neither would they be called cosmic changes." (Zhuan Falun, Chapter Seven: "The Issue of Killing")
What Teacher said is not meant to be a schedule for us to follow and get attached to, nor is it intended for us to form an attachment to time. It was Teacher's encouragement. We should do better what we are supposed to do, keep up our righteous thoughts and actions, and go along with changes in the cosmic climate.
When we clarify the truth, we can quote the passage from Teacher's "New Year's Greetings" mentioned above, but like a practitioner said in an experience sharing article, we don't need to repeatedly emphasize it. Practitioners in different areas have read various prophecies, which told us similar things. These prophecies described what will happen to the human society, especially China. It also stated clearly when these would happen. If we want to use these prophecies to warn people when clarifying truth to them, we need to be careful. We should not mention specific times when predicted events will happen. This way, if the event does not happen at the time stated in the prophecies (I think it will definitely happen at a later time,) people wouldn't be left with the wrong impression of us.
Actually, no matter whether the prophecies happen as predicted or not, their predicted events are, to some degree, in line with the changes that will be brought by the Fa rectification's great force. Therefore, we should not have attachment to time when specific event happens. We are not attached to the prophecies. We are also not afraid if the prophecies do happen as predicted.
(Clearwisdom.net) I am 52 years old and I have been practicing Falun Dafa since 1999. After reading Zhuan Falun, I understood that my life is for Dafa. I worked full-time every day at that time, and sometimes I had to work overtime. Besides taking care of my husband and two sons, I also took care of my elderly mother. Even though time was short, I had to study the Fa and tell people the facts about the persecution. But however busy I was, I never forgot my reason for living. I always went to villages far away on the weekend to distribute truth-clarification materials. Even when it was after 3 a.m. by the time I returned, and my feet were blistered, I did not feel tired because I am living to assist Master in saving sentient beings.
As long as I focus my efforts on Fa-rectification and cultivation practice, I can take care of my family well at the same time. Nothing can stop me from validating Dafa - not wind, heat, rain or cold. I have been validating the Fa over the past several years. Even though I am over 50 years old, my body has become more and more healthy, and I am always happy, since we are all living because of Dafa.
Once I heard that some practitioners were not stepping out to clarify the truth. I went to their homes to give them Master's new articles and information about the persecution, and told them: please pass these materials around after you read them. I continued to do this, until they came out to hang Dafa truth-clarification banners. I helped fellow practitioners one by one and gradually, these practitioners all came out to validate Dafa.
Some practitioners in our location don't study the Fa very well. I know an older practitioner who does study the Fa well. So I talked with him and said that we should help these local practitioners to study the Fa together. He agreed with me. We established a group to study the Fa and share experiences with each other. Everyone improved together. I understand that this is all done with Master's help.
Recently, as I studied Master's new articles, I understand even more the importance of Fa-rectification; it is to fulfill our wish and save sentient beings with Master. Practicing cultivation is serious, it is very serious that a human being cultivates to be an immortal. Master said:
"Lose no time and save them, hurry up and tell them"
("Hurry Up And Tell Them"),
and
"Why such slow and leisurely steps"
("The Difficult Path to Godhood").
I always do everything to comply with Master's Fa, and I clarify the truth with a conscious, clear mind and righteous thoughts. When I do this, everything gets done naturally.
(Clearwisdom.net) I'm a Dafa disciple from Jilin Province. I was fortunate to obtain the Fa in 1998. I was detained in forced labor camps for two years for upholding Falun Dafa. During those two years, I was persecuted and transferred twice to different labor camps because of my persistence in cultivation. After being detained for more than two years, I finally walked out of the labor camp with dignity.
Recently, after I read "Validating Falun Dafa with Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions- A Call for Papers" from the Minghui editors, fellow practitioners encouraged me to write a paper about my righteous thoughts and righteous actions of validating Dafa when I was in the three labor camps. But I had always thought that no matter how well one does in the labor camps, it is somehow walking the path that was arranged by the old forces. My understanding was that I didn't do well and therefore was detained and persecuted. So I was hesitant to pick up the pen. Then I realized that this thought was selfish. In fact our righteous thoughts and righteous actions all come from Dafa. Writing it down is validating the Fa, not validating myself.
Inmates changed their bad habit of taking advantage of practitioners
In October 2000, I was detained at Huanxiling Labor Camp in Jilin City. Before that time, the inmates, the inmate heads and supervisors often extorted money and goods from practitioners and brutally beat them. It became the daily routine of practitioners to wash clothes and blankets for the inmates. The practitioners even had to serve the inmates on a daily basis.
From my understanding, validating Fa should start with every little thing that occurs in our daily life. When I first arrived at the No. 4 Division in the labor camp, the head of the inmates ordered me to wash his clothes. I asked him why he couldn't wash his own clothes. He said, "I've never met a Falun Gong practitioner who didn't obey. How dare you ignore my orders!" I reasoned with him and he could think of no response. At last he said outrageously, "These are the labor camp supervisor's clothes." I told him, "It doesn't matter whether they are yours or the supervisor's. To us practitioners, it's all the same. If you have any difficulties, I can help you. But I can't foster your bad habits." This inmate who used to often beat our practitioners realized the solemnity of Dafa. Later when he met with his mother who visited him in the labor camp, he secretly told her to start learning and practicing Falun Gong at home.
I also reminded other Dafa practitioners that if we allow the inmates to take advantage of us, although on the surface it seems like we are "helping" them, we are actually cooperating with the evil persecution. This is also not being responsible to the inmates. After the experience sharing, we all started using righteous thoughts to resist evil. Since then, the inmates changed their bad habit of trying to take advantage of practitioners.
Guard in a labor camp openly apologizes to Dafa practitioners
One day a supervisor, whom all the inmates were afraid of, got drunk and started to verbally abuse a Dafa practitioner in front of many other practitioners. I stopped him and said, "Stop cursing people." He was stunned and then said, "What can you do? I am cursing you!" Later on, he felt as though he had lost face and quietly retreated.
That night I went to talk to him. He overreacted at first and didn't want to listen to me. I waited for him to calm down and kindly reasoned with him. I told him that he might feel it was "commonplace" to curse and beat inmates, but that it is desecration to people. I also talked a lot about how to be a good person and that the practitioners were all unlawfully detained due to the persecution, and that we went to appeal for Falun Gong to clarify the truth, etc. He didn't say anything after I finished and he just let me go back.
After a while, he called for a meeting with all 18 practitioners in the division. During the meeting he sincerely apologized to all practitioners and guaranteed that he would never do that sort of thing [cursing people] again.
A special "negotiation" in the labor camp
After the Spring Festival of 2001, Dafa practitioners in the No. 4 Division started to create an environment for practicing the exercises and requested to be released unconditionally. Because of this, we suffered brutal tortures at the hands of the police. We started a hunger strike to resist the persecution. The division was afraid that this might turn into a "big issue." So they took several very persistent Dafa practitioners to meet with the labor camp's leaders.
That day, seven Dafa practitioners from the No. 4 Division negotiated with the so-called "Negotiation Team," which consisted of the head of the labor camp, the commissar, head of the education section, head of the administrative section and all division chiefs. We asked to be released unconditionally.
When we arrived at the meeting room, the head of the labor camp and the commissar ordered us to stand and listen. I told the leaders of the labor camp, "Today's meeting is for solving a problem. Since it's a 'negotiation meeting' we should all be equal." After I said that, all Dafa practitioners sat down and had a discussion on an equal basis and face to face with the leadership group of the labor camp.
Before the meeting, the head of the education section, Liu Xun, said to us with hypocritical kindness, "You can ask for any condition or terms, but don't interrupt others while they are talking." During our meeting, when Liu Xun started to slander Master and Dafa, I stood up and stopped him. Liu Xun became utterly discomfited and said, "I thought that we had an agreement earlier, so why are you interrupting me? How come you are so impolite?" I said, "I have to stop you from cursing. This is not being impolite." After the negotiation, all of the police and inmates were
taken aback.
Electric baton turned into a flash light
In Jilin City Labor Camp, there were more and more Dafa practitioners, and only a few gave in to the pressure to renounce Falun Gong. On March 27, 2001, I was transferred to Tonghua Labor Camp together with 9 other practitioners.
We arrived at Tonghua Labor Camp at 10 p.m. that night. At around 11 p.m., when we were getting ready to go to bed, the police group leader, Sun Jianfu asked me to come to his office for a "chat." He was drunk, and while yelling and cursing he held up his electric baton and said to me ferociously, "Now that you are here you have to listen to me." I looked at him calmly and said, "You are a government official. You should watch your attitude and work style." He was stunned and then yelled, "How dare you talk to me like that." I was still very calm, but became more serious and said kindly but firmly, "I didn't mean to boss you. I was only reminding you that your behavior is a direct reflection of the government's image." He was frightened and shocked by my righteous words and actions. He slowly put down the electric baton and said, "This is not an electric baton, but a flash light (An electric baton also has the function of a flash light)."
Ever since then, he never dared to persecute me again.
Respect our Master
Later I was assigned to the No. 2 Division in Tonghua Labor Camp. I started to make use of all opportunities to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to the inmates and the guards. I told them the greatness of Dafa and the facts of the persecution.
One young guard who had just graduated from a police academy often came to talk to me in order to "transform" me. One evening, when the others had gone to bed, he came to talk to me again. At the beginning, he said things that slandered Master and Dafa. I immediately stopped him and asked, "Do you have a father? Don't you think that we should respect our parents?" He replied, "Yes, we should!" I then said, "Our Master is like our father. If you respect me, you should respect my 'Father' or our Master even more. This is a prerequisite for our conversation. Otherwise, we have nothing to talk about." He thought for a moment and said, "Ok, I respect you and I respect your Master even more." At that moment, all the inmates heard his words. The next day, many inmates gave me thumb-ups and said, "You are really a good disciple of your Master!"
My birthday was in early October 2001. On my birthday, this young guard specifically brought a bowl of freshly cooked noodles to me. He also put several cooked eggs in the bowl. The next day, in order to cooperate with my fellow practitioners in validating the Fa, I closed my eyes, double-crossed my legs, and started to do the Falun Gong sitting meditation. When I was holding the arm position of strengthening the supernormal abilities, the young guard pushed me gently and said, "Please stop. Don't cause any trouble for me. This is labor camp." I replied, "A cultivator will practice wherever he or she is." He then said, "I have been very nice to you. It never happened before that a guard celebrated a birthday for an inmate. You are an exception. You are not showing your appreciation, but instead are making trouble for me." I told him sincerely, "I am not an inmate. I am a Dafa disciple. I really appreciate the kindness you have shown to me. However, my practicing the exercises is not to cause trouble for you, but to validate Dafa."
After hearing my words, he ordered the inmates nearby to move my legs. I immediately clarified the truth to them, telling them that they would have committed wrong deeds by following the order. After listening to my words, the inmates turned away and left the guard standing there alone.
From half a steamed bun to a whole bun
On December 24, 2001, a few of us were transferred to Changchun City Chaoyanggou Labor Camp, the most evil environment in the whole province. The labor camp is so evil that the guards and the vicious persons not only torture the practitioners with various severe means, but also force them to work overtime. They also dock Dafa practitioners' and inmates' living allowances. At that time, every morning each detainee was only given half a steamed bun and a little porridge. The inmates did not dare to speak up, even though they knew that their allowances were docked.
One day the labor camp director and some related persons came for an inspection. When they came into our cell, I immediately mentioned to them that a half steamed bun and the little porridge, which each detainee was given every morning, was far from enough to sustain a person. After listening to my words, the director did not say anything but told the catering section leader to increase the amount of the food given to each detainee. The next morning, the half steamed bun was changed to a whole one. I also often told the division head about the various evil deeds the inmates did, such as their extortion of money and goods from the Falun Gong practitioners. Later such extortion generally disappeared in our division.
No guards dared to look me in the eye
In the No. 3 Division of Chaoyanggou Labor Camp, the guards and the evil persons often severely torture and physically punish the steadfast Falun Dafa practitioners. Regarding this issue, I wrote an essay titled, "The guards should improve their own quality and management ability." Because of this, Zhang Wei, a guard in the No. 3 Division once slapped me on the face. However, ever since then, no guards in the No. 3 Division dared to look me in the eye.
Once, the head of No. 3 Division Chen Lihui started to swear at me in front of more than 100 people because I refused to participate in the slave labor. I immediately stopped him by saying, "Hush up. Why do you swear at me?" Seeing this situation, he quickly turned away and left. Later Chen called me into his office and said, "You told me to be quiet in front of so many people. You did not care about me losing face at all." I replied, "I stopped you because you showed no respect for Dafa practitioners." Ever since then, Chen restricted his evildoings in front of me. I no longer had to participate in any slave labor.
On December 11, 2002, I walked out of Changchun Chaoyanggou Labor Camp in an upright and dignified manner. I again plunged myself into the torrent of Fa-rectification.

While writing this article, my heart was deeply moved by the power of Dafa. When we truly conduct ourselves as Dafa disciples who are determined to safeguard the Fa in an upright and dignified manner, Dafa's miraculous power will manifest at any time. Master's benevolent protection had enabled me to go through the most difficult period of time in my life.
Now, whenever I have a strong human mentality and am reluctant to move forward due to various attachments, I remember the boundless compassion of Master and realize that countless beings are waiting for us to save them. ... I then break through the notion of self and strive forward.
Because of my lack of diligence in cultivation, I have missed many opportunities to validate Dafa, failed to do well what I am supposed to do and have missed opportunities to cooperate with fellow practitioners as one body. I have also missed many opportunities to get rid of my selfishness, my attachments to fear and to myself.
Fortunately, the Fa-rectification is not yet over, and our benevolent Master is still waiting for us to improve ourselves as one body. During the last period of Fa-rectification, we will definitely assimilate to Dafa and let go of our human mentality so that we can save more sentiment beings.

On Qing Ming Day (1), April 5, 2005, practitioners publicly played pre-recorded messages through loudspeakers in the Yuzhong and Shaqu areas of Chongqing City to clarify the truth to people. This resulted in very positive comments. Many people are saying that nowadays it is only Falun Gong practitioners that dare to persistently step forward and speak the truth. There is no hope for the Communist Party.
In Chongqing City, those who persecute practitioners are mainly personnel from the 610 Office, the National Security Main Unit of the Public Security Bureau, the Public Prosecutor, and the local court. Over the past five-plus years of the persecution, these people have illegally arrested practitioners, and the atrocities they have committed have led to the deaths of more than one hundred practitioners. Since last year, officials in Chongqing City have been holding two large brainwashing classes in two areas of the city - in the Jinkou area and on Shangxin Street in the Nan'an area. So far, more than 40 practitioners have been illegally detained or secretly arrested. When keeping practitioners in detention, the authorities resort to many inhuman tortures. They detain them without notifying practitioners' families, as required by law. The longest detention so far has been more than one year.
Nevertheless, practitioners in Chongqing City are not frightened by the persecution. Practitioners still study the Fa diligently. They have taken the initiative to publicly play pre-recorded messages through loudspeakers, exposing the wicked Party's persecution, not only of Falun Dafa, but also of the general public.
The successful broadcasting of truth-clarification messages on the busy streets on Qing Ming Day has panicked the Chongqing City officials who have persecuted practitioners. So far they have already placed key persons under surveillance in their jurisdictions and started massive arrests of practitioners who have refused to yield to them. Fellow practitioners in Chongqing City, please pay attention to security issues.
(1) Qing Ming Day is a special day on the Lunar calendar. Traditionally it's a day to memorialize their past family members. Nowadays there are usually many activities on this day.

I Read the Miraculous Book Three Times and Regained My Health
-- A testimonial of the greatness of Falun Dafa
I am Zhang, from Nanpiao District in Huludao City, Liaoning Province. In July 2004, I was diagnosed with colon cancer, and I had surgery first, then chemotherapy and medication. There were many side effects after my course of treatment, and my body was very weak. One day, my wife was helping me to take a walk outside. When I was tired and resting, a young man stopped just to exchange pleasantries. I told him how I became ill, and he said: "I'll find a book for you. If you read it, it will be very helpful to you." My wife asked, "Will it work?" The young man said sincerely, "It will work for whoever reads it with a sincere heart."
This is how I obtained the book Zhuan Falun, and I read it once and then again. One night when I was reading it for the third time, I had a dream that a big nail in my back was pulled out, and my body became more relaxed. The next day, I told my wife about my dream, and she was very happy. I was very excited too, and I figured that it had to be Teacher who was helping me. From then on, I kept reading the book, and now I am completely healed. I no longer take any medicine or need injections. I not only save money, but also spare myself from pain and trouble. It is, indeed, a true miracle of Falun Dafa manifested in me.
My wife, who often looked after me, was not well either, and she suffered from several chronic ailments. After my wife had seen the transformation in me, she began to study Falun Gong. All her chronic diseases went away, and she regained her health. She said cheerfully: "Falun Dafa is great!" From then on, my wife and I studied the Fa every day, and we both became practitioners. Now, we are always in a good mood and do not need to worry about our medical expenses any more. We can also do our household chores. Falun Dafa has saved both of us.
Younger Sister and Brother-in-Law Experienced Miracles of Dafa Themselves

A Dafa practitioner from Liaoning Province clarified the truth to her younger sister and brother-in-law. After they learned the truth, they helped her to protect Dafa books. They also picked up discarded truth-clarifying materials and passed them on to others after they read them themselves.
One day, the practitioner's brother-in-law saw someone trying to remove Dafa truth-clarification materials from a wall. He then walked up to that person and said, "Don't do that, people who have those words on their walls will be rewarded." Another time, he saw a Dafa practitioner hanging a banner, and someone nearby ready to report the practitioner to the police. The brother-in-law was very upset, and told that person, "It's none of your business." The person said that the banner was right across from his home. The practitioner's brother-in-law said, "That is a good thing. But if you do harm to Dafa practitioners, you will meet with karmic retribution!"
The brother-in-law used to have stomach problems. Once night, he needed emergency treatment, and was charged over 1,000 yuan. His stomach problem persisted until he began to treat Dafa kindly. The practitioner's younger sister was ready to have surgery for uterine cancer within a week. On the day before the surgery, she went to the hospital, and her X-ray showed that the tumor had disappeared. The doctor was very surprised and asked her what medicine she was taking. She said, "Nothing, but I recite 'Falun Dafa is good' every day." The doctor did not say a word, but nodded his head. She then continued, "Falun Dafa has saved my life."
During this past Chinese New Year, when friends and relatives got together, the practitioner's sister helped this practitioner to spread the message to their relatives and friends that believing that "Falun Dafa is good" will bring them good fortune. Reciting "Falun Dafa is good" every day would make all their illnesses go away, even cancer of the uterus. The sister's experience convinced many of their relatives and friends about the greatness of Dafa. That night, they all recited together dozens of times, "Falun Dafa is good."

The Falun Dafa Association of Saipan will submit today a petition addressed to U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, asking the U.S. government to pressure China to stop its persecution of Falun Gong and its members.
The group's spokesman, Vincent Perez, who drafted the letter, said he would submit the petition this morning.
The petition letter, according to Perez, gathered 225 signatures from concerned CNMI community members. He said this is the first time that their group will be submitting a petition letter and he hopes that it would get the secretary's attention.
The group started the signature drive last month.
Perez said that, with Rice visiting countries in Asia, he hopes the secretary would have a dialogue with the Chinese government on the issue of the Falun Gong.
The group's petition letter is based on similar petitions that other Falun Gong groups have initiated all over the world, said Perez. Falun Dafa and Falun Gong are interchangeably used to refer to their group.
The one-page letter calls on the United States to demand that the government of the People's Republic of China cease its persecution of Falun Gong immediately. It also asks for the release of all Falun Gong prisoners in China.
Perez said that, by sending the letter to the Secretary of State, she would know that the people of the CNMI are also concerned about the issue.
Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and a host of other human rights organization have reported that tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in China have been arrested on spurious charges, with thousands more being sent to slave labor camps without trial.
"Torture is widespread, and now accounts for at least 1,500 deaths in police custody. Thousands have been stripped of their homes, jobs, education, and even families," reads part of the petition letter.
Perez also said the suppression of Falun Gong by Chinese authorities has spread overseas to democratic countries, "notably on American soil." The letter alleges that China has attempted to influence and intimidate officials at all levels of the U.S. government who support Falun Gong, as well as harass, threaten and violently beat U.S. citizens.
The reported beating of Americans has led the U.S. House of Representatives to unanimously pass Resolution 188, calling for an immediate investigation and action against any Chinese government personnel that are found to be involved.
The resolution also condemns the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and in America.

Many people have commented on the recent trend toward democracy in the Middle East and have also noticed the continuation of peaceful transitions of power in Eastern Europe. It seems that most of the media and many experts are missing the full scope of the story. Undercurrents of change are also stirring in China. Recently, a Chinese language newspaper published an editorial called the "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party." The editorial comments on the nature and origin of the CCP, its tyranny, how the CCP persecutes Falun Gong and destroys traditional Chinese culture and religions and its responsibility for numerous genocides.
This document has spread like wildfire all over China and the Chinese speaking world. Proving that the pen is mightier than the dragon, over 500,000 people have resigned from the CCP in just a few months. Desperate reactions can already be seen from China's leadership. This history-changing document and the phenomena it is causing can easily be found online in many languages, yet few people in the West seem to have grasped that the worldwide momentum of change has moved into China.

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Zhongrong from Group 2, Qishu Village, Yangjia Town, Jingyang District, Deyang City, Sichuan Province was tortured to death around 6 p.m. on August 26, 2002 at the age of 33, by officials from Yangjia Town government.
Zhang Zhongrong's husband Zeng Daobing had a mental collapse after he learned his wife was tortured to death. Their son Zeng Jiuling was born in 1990. He is now left uncared for and is currently in the ninth grade.
The torture death of practitioner Zhang Zhongrong took place as follows:
In August 2002, police from Yangjia Police Station held a large brainwashing class and arrested many Dafa practitioners in Yangjia Town. On Friday August 23, Xiang Huaming, head of Yangjia Police Station arrested five Dafa practitioners: Liu Chuanfeng, Zhu Taiju, Zhao Yuanju and others. The police handcuffed the practitioners and left them outside for three nights to expose them to the mosquitoes. On the morning of August 24, practitioners in Jingfu Town were arrested by police officer Deng from Yangjia Police Station and taken to Yangjia Town government, where they were handcuffed and forced to sleep in the street for two nights. On August 25, the Yangjia Town CCP Committee and police station decided to seize all Dafa practitioners in the town and send them to a brainwashing class.
Shortly after 1 p.m. on August 26, Zhang Zhongrong and her husband were harvesting crops when police officers from Yangjia Town Police Station arrived and took her away, despite the couple's pleas. Her husband, Zeng Daobing, was extremely frightened and went into hiding.
Zhang Zhongrong was taken to the government facility, but she was worried about her husband and child. She told the Party secretary, mayor and the police chief about her difficult family situation and asked that they give her a few more days to take care of her affairs at home. The officials said, "You have to pay 2,000 yuan and attend the 10-day class before you can go home and harvest the crops."
She was frustrated and cried. They tried to force her to stomp and spit on Teacher's picture and curse Teacher and Dafa. Zhang Zhongrong said, "Teacher saved my life. How can I insult Him?" She firmly refused to obey their orders.
After 6 p.m. on August 26, practitioner Zhu Taiju saw Zhang Zhongrong lying lifeless in the hallway outside the conference room in the government building. More than 30 other practitioners who were also being held learned about her death but were prevented from going to the death scene by the police.
After Zhang Zhongrong's death, the police in Yangjia Town sent for Hong Qi, head of the Jingyang District 610 Office, people from the city police department, 20 police chiefs from 20 nearby towns and townships, and more than 30 police cars gathered there to disturb the villagers' peace. Zhang Zhongrong's husband is still missing.
The perpetrators themselves conducted an autopsy and cremated Zhang Zhongrong's body. They gave Zhang Zhongrong's family 12,000 yuan for compensation and a funeral ceremony to settle the case. It was said that Zhang Zhongrong's husband has suffered a mental collapse. Their crops are left unattended and their family is in a very difficult situation. Their son is living alone and he is having a hard time.
(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Wu Shihai. I live in Yuexi County, Liangshan District, Sichuan Province. I am a teacher at the Zhaojue County Middle School. Due to my practice of Falun Dafa, I have been continually subjected to persecution during the past five years.
On July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, I was illegally interrogated by officials from the Yuexi County 610 Office. Two days later, I was again interrogated by a group of officials led by Tian Maoqi from the Zhaojue County Department of Politics and Order. After that, I was under surveillance day and night. Even after the school year started, I was not yet allowed to teach.
In October of that same year (1999), I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and was brought back to Zhaojue County Department of Politics and Order by county security staff. I was tortured into a confession and illegally detained for 49 days. In the end, I was fined 5000 yuan. On December 7, 1999, I was freed from detention. From that point on, my daily life was under complete surveillance. The middle school administration even took 10 yuan out of my salary and gave that money to those who monitored me. Because I resolutely refused to accept the unreasonable demands from the school that I stop appealing for Falun Gong, I remained in Zhaojue County and stopped getting in touch with other fellow practitioners. I was again detained for one month by the Zhaojue County 610 Office in April 2000. After I was released from detention, I still refused to accept the evil persons' demands. As a result, after seven days I was arrested and detained for yet another month. After my release, I continued to refuse the evil demands. One week later, I was detained again for two months. On August 14, 2000, I was sentenced to one year in prison by the Zhaojue County 610 Office. I was then sent to the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp of Sichuan Province. Inside the camp, prison officers instigated inmates to physically abuse me. I was forced to run at an extremely demanding speed, and stand in a fixed posture for very long periods of time. As a result, I fainted on several occasions.
Every day, I had to stand in a fixed posture from early morning until 2:00 a.m. Sometimes, I had to stand throughout the entire night. They tightly bound me with ropes and shocked me with electric batons. They also force-feed me. Later, as I continued to practice the exercises and refused to work, my prison term was extended four more months. On December 16, 2001, I was eventually released from the labor camp.
After I returned home, I was again under around the clock surveillance. In August 2002, I went to Panzhihua City to help manage Falun Dafa truth clarification materials. On September 6, 2002, I was arrested by officials from the Panzhihua City 610 Office. Again, I was illegally interrogated and subjected to physical tortures such as hanging and electric shock. On January 15, 2003, I was sentenced to two years in prison and sent to the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp once again. There I was again subjected to physical abuses such as being forced to stand in a fixed posture for a long time, and being made to repeatedly squat and then stand straight until I lost control. Because I refused to renounce my belief in Falun Gong, I was brought to the No. 3 People's Hospital of Mianyang County (a mental institution). There, personnel administered nerve-damaging drugs and forced me to take various other unidentified substances. As a result of these drugs, my reactions and movements slowed down for a very long time. Part of my facial muscles were paralyzed, saliva dripped from my mouth, and I appeared mentally challenged. In August 2004, I was finally released from the hospital.
From July 20, 1999 until August 2004, I had been persecuted each and every day. Communist Party Deputy Secretary Wu Jinping, Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Yang Tongcai, and security officer Tian Maoqi are among those Zhaojue County officials who were directly involved in the persecution. The County Security Department, local security station, County Education Department, as well as my school were responsible for the surveillance plans implemented to monitor my daily activities. These various government agencies also ordered my school general secretary Zhang Li to illegally withhold my salary. They took my money and used it to pay for restaurant meals for themselves, and I didn't get a single penny. Also, they used my money to cover all the expenses of the persecution against me.
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Yongjing was brutally tortured by the 610 Office and the Linyi City Detention Center of Shandong Province in June 2004.
Liu Yongjing, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shandong Province, was arrested in Linyi City on the evening of June 10, 2004. He was beaten black and blue and thrown into the Linyi City Detention Center that night, with hands and feet shackled. Liu Yongjing held a hunger strike to protest this persecution. On about the fourth day of his hunger strike, policemen from the detention center force-fed him by pushing a tube into his stomach. The tube was not the thin, silica gel tube required by hospitals, but a thick, rubber tube. It was very painful having such a tube forced into his body.
The head of the detention center, Mr. Wu, and the medical doctor of the center, Mr. Cao, along with two accomplices handcuffed Liu Yongjing's hands behind his back, held him tightly, and attempted to force the tube into his body. During this torture he cried for help and was heard all over the detention center. As a result of his fierce resistance, these wicked people failed to force the tube into his body after trying several times. At the same time, Liu Yongjing was in a tortured state, with blood spilling out of his mouth and nose. Despite this, Mr. Wu and Mr. Cao commanded several other criminals to help them force the tube into his body, while his hands were still handcuffed behind his back.
The perpetrators then pushed the tube in, then pulled it out, and repeated this torture. This nearly resulted in Liu Yongjing's death. His cries for help were heard at the beginning then faded away. According to an insider who knew the details of this case, Liu Yongjing was on the verge of death after that torture.
For fear of taking responsibility, the detention center immediately contacted the Linyi City 610 Office and the Lanshan District. Liu Yongjing was then carried out of the detention center in a hurry, and taken to the Linyi City brainwashing class. At that time, the house where the brainwashing class was held was under repair, so since the detention center was not able to take Liu there, so they found a temporary room nearby the detention center and treated it as a temporary brainwashing class. Liu was taken there, and the 610 Office immediately ordered a dozen policemen, including Xing Yongnong, Judas Duan Haoyu, Gao Xiuzhi, and Sun Maolan to persecute Liu Yongjing. They used assorted vicious means to torture Liu Yongjing. They deprived him of sleep, pricked his face with bramble, handcuffed him to a chair with his hands shackled behind his back, and shackled his feet.
"Collaborator" Li Chenzheng dragged Liu Yongjing's feet to make him stomp on Master Li's picture. For every dragging action, she forced his feet to stomp on the picture a few dozen times. Liu's ankle shackles clanged with the dragging, and his ankles were scarred and hurting with wounds. Collaborator Duan Haoyu continuously clutched and twisted Liu Yongjing. Later Liu had a tube inserted into his nose, and the brutal man Song Wei force-fed him with thick salt water, which resulted in laryngeal agnail, unbearable pain, and continuous vomiting.
According to a person who saw Liu Yongjing at that time, he was tortured out of shape. His face became dark, eyes black and swollen, hair blowzy, and trousers splitting. About two days after his forced feeding, he recovered a little. Seeing this, Xing Yongnong, an officer from the 610 Office of Lanshan District, without notifying Liu's families, expedited sending him to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp (the second forced labor camp of Shaodong Province). Liu Yongjing was continuously persecuted there and sentenced to three years of forced labor.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Chen Xueda, a chief engineer from Dalong Ore, Liaoning Province Iron and Coal Group, died on the night of January 23, 2004 because he was persecuted relentlessly and imprisoned.
Mr. Chen, 67 years old, always worked conscientiously and was devoted to his company. He did not take free time day or night, and never rested on weekends and holidays, so he became ill from overwork. He used to suffer from serious insomnia, heart disease and hypertension. However, no medical treatments were effective. Suffering from these diseases made him thin and pallid. Mr. Chen, who was so dedicated to his work, unexpectedly fainted one day at his work station. This was about 10 years ago. Fortunately in 1995, he started to practice Falun Dafa. After several months, he recovered and was full of vigor, so he returned to work.
After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Mr. Chen spoke frankly and submitted a written statement supporting Falun Dafa. He went to Beijing to appeal to the government but was arrested and detained in the local detention center and jail, where he was severely persecuted. For example, incited by the police, the criminals completely removed his clothes and poured sixty basins of cold water all over him. They also beat his face with shoes. The authorities did not let him sleep, humiliated him, tried to forcefully brainwash him and make him write a so-called "transformation" statement. His company did not pay his salary for one year and cancelled his communist party membership.
In July 2002, Mr. Chen declared on the Clearwisdom.net website the statement he made under duress was invalid, and that he would be diligent and cultivate solidly to make up for the loss he brought to Falun Dafa. Personnel from his company's security section as well as the local police went to his home to harass him and tried to force him to write a "guarantee" that he would not practice Falun Gong. In addition, they threatened to fire his children from their jobs, which was devastating. He died suddenly on January 23, 2004.

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Zhao Dehua and I am a Falun Dafa practitioner from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. On December 30, 2000, my mother, wife, two daughters and I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. Police from the Tiananmen police station arrested us and demanded that we give our names. I told them that my actions of clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa were legal, and they should not have arrested me. Therefore, I would neither give them my name or let them take my thumb-print. The police responded by punching and kicking me, knocking me to the ground. They continued to beat me while I was on the ground for half an hour. They then forcefully took my thumb-print.
After that, they drove me in a vehicle filled with Falun Dafa practitioners to a prison. The police kept asking for names, but I refused to divulge my name. They handcuffed me to a metal pole and brutally beat me with a long stick. One policeman even burnt my skin with cigarettes, and the marks can still be seen under my arm today. Then, another policeman poured hot water into my pants and then hung me up shirtless outside the building. At that time, Beijing's temperature was -20 degrees Celsius, and I was left outdoors during these cold winter days for more than ten hours. It was unimaginably cold, and I can still feel the coldness vividly whenever I think about it. After experiencing the coldest winter in my life, I was taken inside, and the police threatened that they would douse me with cold water again and further torture me if I did not reveal my name. After realizing that I remained firm in not revealing my name, they pleaded with me and said that they would be in trouble if I did not give them my name. I gave in to their pleading and told them my name. I realized a short time later that I had been deceived.
Two days later, the Shuangcheng City 610 Office and its staff detained me in the Shuangcheng City Second Detention Center. In the Detention Center, I was severely persecuted. Guards Li Huaixin, Huang Yanchun, and Du ordered inmates to force me to slander Falun Dafa and Master Li. As I refused, the officers ordered the inmates to beat me while putting a cloth into my mouth to prevent me from shouting. Before they could do that, I shouted, "Do not persecute Falun Dafa practitioners!" Other practitioners heard this and did the same. The guards ignored us and used various inhumane tortures, including "riding an airplane," against me, leaving many scars all over my body.

Two months after being brutally persecuted in the detention center, I was sent to a brainwashing. However, I persisted in practicing the Falun Dafa exercises. The head of the local 610 Office Zhang Yunlong and the local police chief Kong Qingman forced me to watch the staged Tiananmen self-immolation incident and read newspaper articles slandering Falun Dafa. I refused to watch the film or read the articles. This angered Zhang Yunlong, so he ordered guard Bai Yuqiao to rub chili into my eyes. That night, five police officers (Zhang Yunlong, Bai Yuqiao, Bai Chunwu, Kong Weidong and Yu Zhenbo) and the town chief Wang Chuichuan pushed me to the ground and stripped me. Then, the six of them used leather belts or rubber hoses to whip me at the same time. They were extremely frustrated by the fact that I refused to obey their orders. I was brutally whipped about 300 lashes a minute and before long, my body was covered with blood. While they were lashing me, they asked, "Do you still persist in practicing Falun Dafa?" and I retorted, "Yes!" After twenty minutes of such inhumane persecution, my body was covered with blood and cuts, but they did not stop. They poured cold water onto my badly injured body and continued to beat me. During the process, Zhang Yunlong repeatedly asked me if I would continue to practice Falun Dafa, and my answer was always yes. The pain was unbearable, as they were continuously whipping my already-wounded body, and I felt like I was on the verge of death. Seeing me in this state, Zhang Yunlong ordered them to stop the beating. A few days later, these guards ordered me to step on Master Li's photo. They handcuffed me on the upper bed and tried to place Zhuan Falun below my toes. They reasoned that I would step on the picture once I put my feet on the ground. I immediately realized what they were up to and I put my feet on the ground before they could put Zhuan Falun under my feet. Seeing that I had discovered their intention and that there was no way they could put the book under my feet, they changed their mind. Zhang Yunlong ordered the other guards to tie my feet tightly with a nylon rope. Zhang Yunlong laughed and said that people would not be able to walk after being tied in this manner for thirty minutes. However, after being tied for forty minutes, I could still walk freely after being untied, and this further infuriated them.
After coming to the conclusion that I would not renounce Falun Gong, they decided to send me back to the Shuangcheng City Second Detention Center. A criminal named Xiaoguan was bribed by the guards to torture me. They covered the windows with newspaper to block the sunlight from coming into my prison cell. Over time, my body was covered with scabies. I could no longer take the torture and wrote the Three Statements against my will. Later on, they extorted 3,000 yuan from me. I was persecuted for four more months and ten days before being released.
During Chinese New Year of 2001, some perpetrators from my village went to a fellow practitioner's house to look for me. They claimed that they were looking for me to celebrate Chinese New Year. However, everyone refused to reveal my whereabouts, and their plan to arrest me failed.
On January 3, 2001, about half an hour after I returned from clarifying the truth in a local area, four policemen broke into my house and forced me into their vehicle. It was village chief Han Xinghou who had secretly reported me to the police. I refused to get into their vehicle, and my family refused to cooperate with them. Then, they pinned me to the ground and hit my head with a brick before handcuffing me. However, I quickly stood up and the handcuffs opened by itself with just my thought of wanting to open it. I ran as fast as I could until I reached a dead end before I was captured and brought to Xinxing Detention Center. In the Detention Center, police chief Kong Qingman confiscated 300 yuan from me and transferred me to the Shuangcheng City Second Detention Center again.
In the detention center, criminal Zhao Dequan tried to have me slander Master Li and Falun Dafa. I clarified the truth to him but he refused to listen and beat me. He threatened that he could torture me to death and the guards would neither interfere nor hold him responsible. I was not afraid and told him that I would expose him if he beat me. On the second day, they used all kinds of methods to try to have me renounce Falun Dafa, but I refused. They continued to persecute me to try to get what they wanted. Such persecution continued for two months, and I was subsequently sentenced to two years of forced labor. I refused to sign the consent document, but they said that I would be sent to Wanjia Labor Camp whether I signed the consent order or not.
After arriving at Wanjia Labor Camp, I was immediately given a full medical examination. I thought that I should not even stay here for a single day, for I must clarify the truth to sentient beings. I have to continue to assist in Master's Fa-rectification. The labor camp refused to accept me, saying that I suffered from scabies. I was then sent back to Shuangcheng City Second Detention Center. A few days later, I was released unconditionally.
My family owned 18 mu (a Chinese measure of area. There are about 6 mu per acre) of farmland. In 2001, the village confiscated all of it except 7 mu. The confiscated land was sold, and the 4,000-yuan they received was given to the 610 Office. They called it a fine for our going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. With this small piece of land, it was extremely difficult for my family to survive.
My wife Liu Fengjie is 38 years old. At the end of 2000, we took our two daughters to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and clarify the truth to the public. After Beijing police arrested her, she was sent back to the Shuangcheng City Second Detention Center and illegally detained. My two daughters were sent to live with our relatives. One month later, my wife was taken to a brainwashing class, where she was brainwashed and persecuted for fifty days. Her persecution was under the jurisdiction of the Shuangcheng City 610 Office. Zhang Yunlong, along with six to seven others, beat my wife and wanted her to step on Master Li's picture and slander Master Li. No matter what they tried, my wife refused to cooperate. After the long-term brainwashing and physical abuse, she was forced to sign the "Guarantee Letter" and extorted out of 4,000 yuan before she was finally released. Under such inhuman torture, my wife was unable to concentrate on her Fa-study, practice the Falun Dafa exercises and live a normal life. She was distressed and devastated. On August 8, 2001, while on her way to sell vegetables, she was hit by a car and died soon after. At that time, our daughters were ages three and ten respectively. My heart is heavy and I feel deep pain, even today, whenever I hear my two daughters crying for their mother.
My mother Wang Ying is 60 years old. Before she practiced Falun Dafa, she had poor health and suffered from bronchitis and many other illnesses. However, after practicing Falun Dafa, her illnesses disappeared without a trace. My wife, mother, daughters and I went to Beijing to appeal and clarify the truth for Falun Dafa at the end of 2000. My mother was sent to the Shuangcheng City Second Detention Center and persecuted. She was released only after being fined 4,000 yuan in the brainwashing class. During the time she was persecuted, she suffered both physically and mentally. Even after being released, she did not fully recover from the physical and mental mistreatment, and she passed away on January 9, 2005. This persecution has torn apart my family.

Ms. Zhang Yufen, 52, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Changchun City, Jilin Province. She used to be an accountant at the Dazheng Pharmaceutical Factory and lived in a dormitory at Kechezhang. On September 16, 2002, officers from the Luyuan District Police Station arrested her at her home. She was subsequently sentenced to five years in prison and held at the Heizuizi Women's Prison. After her arrest, her husband became increasingly anxious and scared. As a result, he developed liver cancer and died on October 5, 2004. Throughout his terminal illness, the prison authorities prohibited Ms. Zhang from seeing her husband. She was never able to bid a final goodbye to her husband.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wei Fusheng , 68 years old, lived in Bingmaying Village, Bulaotun Town, Miyun County, Beijing City. He was constantly harassed by the local police after the persecution began in July 1999, and was twice detained and sent to brainwashing classes. In 2002, he was sent to brainwashing sessions for 18 months at the Tuanhe Labor Camp. He suffered a great deal both mentally and physically. He died in November 2004. His wife was sentenced to two years forced labor.
Mr. Guo Changzhi , 63 years old, lived in Beizhuang Town, Miyun County, Beijing City. He went into the center of Beijing to validate Falun Dafa after July 20, 1999, and was arrested by local policemen and 610 Office members upon returning home. They took him to a forestry station far away from his home, tied him up, and then suspended his whole body in the air. The policemen sprayed water into his nose, ears, and eyes, and gave him a severe beating. They also extorted one thousand yuan from him several days later. His liver and stomach were damaged from the physical abuse. He died in February 2003.
In October 2002, the Miyun County Commissioner Wang Hongzhong (male) frantically arrested practitioners, claiming to be "stabilizing social order." The police did not notify family members after their arrests, causing additional worry for the family. Wang Hongzhong said that he was experimenting on how to persecute practitioners in Miyun County. He used the taxpayers' money to hire informants. Monetary rewards were two thousand yuan for arresting a practitioner, one thousand yuan for reporting a practitioner, and three thousand yuan for catching practitioners hanging up banners or passing out leaflets.
(Clearwisdom.net) My mother Liu Xiaoju started practicing Falun Dafa in late 1998. She not only became healthy, but she often went out to tell people about the practice and helped many neighbors to learn Falun Dafa. She passed away in December 2004 due to the persecution she faced; threats, coercion and harassment.
After the persecution began in 1999, her work unit held a brainwashing class and ordered her to turn in Dafa books. Her superiors also demanded her to sign a document to promise not to practice any more or she would be fired. My mother turned in two books of experience-sharing articles, a few broken exercise audiocassettes and signed the document. Her work unit also sent an official to monitor her. He came to our home almost on a daily basis and told my mother to find someone to play cards with him. My mother soon returned to her old lifestyle she had before she practiced Falun Gong, as she again picked up drinking, smoking and gambling. She stopped looking inward as she had done when practicing Dafa and her temper grew worse.
In November 2003 mother coughed constantly. She went to a hospital, and the doctor said it was lung cancer. Her morale declined by the day. Within one month she stopped talking, was afraid of people and didn't want to leave home. We all felt terrible for her. All of our family had practiced Dafa before and my aunt persisted in the practice. Mother herself knew that Dafa is great, so she again started doing the exercises. She slowly recovered. She started clarifying the truth and wrote a solemn announcement to void the guarantee statement she wrote.
Within six months her lung cancer was completely gone. The doctor was stunned. She did the exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts, studied the Fa and clarified the truth on a daily basis.
Three months later, one day an official from her work unit came and said someone wrote to her work unit and reported that she was doing the Falun Gong exercises. He said the work unit was conducting an investigation to see if the letter was telling the facts. If they verified the letter, they would cut off her salary and not pay her hospital bills. She suffered another blow. Several days later, after waking up from taking a nap she had lost her memory. She had difficulty speaking and felt dizzy and had a headache. She kept sending forth righteous thoughts, studying the Fa and doing the exercises. After one week, one day she suddenly passed out from pain. After a discussion we decided to send her to a hospital. She came to right after she arrived at the hospital. She asked to go home and was soon discharged from the hospital.
One day a fellow practitioner and I went to different towns to distribute truth clarification materials. We were reported and were abducted by local police, who sent us to a local police station. Mother heard the information from another practitioner. She went to the police station and insisted on taking me home. With Teacher's benevolent protection and fellow practitioners' righteous thoughts I was temporarily released. The police demanded that mother and I write a guarantee statement and report to the police station several days later. Because we didn't study the Fa well, mother and I each wrote a guarantee statement.
Later the same day mother began to feel unwell. After we got home, mother told me to leave home to avoid being abducted by police. Three days after I left, mother went back to the hospital. During the following two months the police went to the hospital to threaten her and followed her to the factory clinic. They told her to write down my whereabouts but she refused and rebuked the police. The police then went to my father and said they would fine him for letting me leave town. My mother firmly refused to give them money and the police left.
Due to harassment, threats and intimidation from the police, mother suffered great pressure and passed away on December 8, 2004 at the age of 48.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yongjun Suffers a Nervous Breakdown from Torture in Heizuizi Labor Camp
Falun Dafa practitioners detained in Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun City are under "strict monitoring" and have been deprived visitation rights since February 9, 2005, the Chinese New Year.
On Saturday, March 12, 2005, all detained practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest. As a consequence they were tortured with electric batons. Ms. Li Yongjun has been locked in a small cell (1) and tortured to the point that she suffered a nervous breakdown.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Guards Beat Ms. Zhang Fengjun in Chaoyanggou Labor Camp
Shortly before the Chinese New Year on February 9, 2005, the Fifth Ward leader and two guards in the Chaoyanggou Labor Camp beat detained practitioner Ms. Zhang Fengjun from Yushu City, Jilin Province. Initially the two guards started beating her, and the ward leader joined them later. Even after Ms. Zhang was bleeding from her mouth and nose, the villains continued beating her.
3. [Beijing City] Ms. Chang Shuxian Is Arrested from Home and Her Family Members Are Threatened
Practitioner Ms. Chang Shuxian continues to cultivate "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." She was arrested from her home on March 1, 2005, and no one knows where she is at present. This is the third time she has been arrested for practicing Falun Dafa.
People who know Ms. Chang Shuxian all agree that she is a good employee in her work unit, and she has received merit awards. She is a good daughter-in-law at home, and her family life is very happy and peaceful. Her parents-in-law are both over eighty. They witnessed the policemen twisting Ms. Chang's arms, forcing her into a police vehicle while addressing her in profanities, ransacking her home, and removing all Falun Dafa materials. Her parents-in-law were so terrified that they broke down in tears. Her father-in-law's fear resulted in a heart attack, and he had to be sent to the hospital. Her child was so frightened she was physically ill. And her mother-in-law was so scared that she couldn't speak a word.
4. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Jia'an Is Arrested Again
About March 12, 2005, policemen from the Ganwang Town Station arrested practitioner Mr. Zhang Jia'an from Ganwang Town, Haicheng City, Liaoning Province. He had just been released from a labor camp on January 15, 2005. He has been sentenced three times to forced labor camps.

5. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Gong Xueshun and Mr. Wang Limeng Are Tortured during Detention
Practitioner Mr. Gong Xueshun was arrested in October 2004 and is currently detained in the Lannigou Detention Center in Guiyang City, where the physical conditions are very severe. Mr. Gong has developed scabies all over his body. Some areas of his body are badly infected. He has requested a medical parole, but the police have refused.
In October 2004, policemen from the Xinguan Street Police Station arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Limeng and detained him in the Guiyang Detention Center. He has vomited blood from beatings received at the hands of the guards, and his life is in danger.
6. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Shujuan Is Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison
Practitioner Ms. Liu Shujuan was arrested from her home in April 2004, when police found many Falun Dafa banners in her possession. She was sentenced to forced labor at the Heizuizi Labor Camp but was rejected due to her physical condition. She was previously tortured in 2000, suffering a nervous breakdown. She could be released immediately, but her family does not have enough money to bail her out. Her illegal detention has been extended. Police fabricated crimes attributed to her actions, and she was sentenced to nine years in prison in February 2005.
7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Jing Xian'e Is Abducted at Home and Sent to Liuji Brainwashing Class
On March 16, 2005, practitioner Ms. Jing Xian'e was abducted and sent to the Liuji Brainwashing Class located in the Xinzhou District of Wuhan City. This occurred while she was cooking lunch at home. Her husband went to see her, but officials denied his request.
8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Xiaolan Has Been Locked in a Brainwashing Class More Than Five Months
At the end of September 2004, the Hubei Province 610 Office and the Wuhan Steel Company 610 Office locked practitioner Ms. Liu Xiaolan, an employee of the Third Steel Factory, in the Provincial Brainwashing Class located in Tangxun Lake. She is still being held there at this time. Around the time of the Chinese New Year on February 9, her family requested that she be allowed to come home for the holiday, but their request was denied since she never gave in to the brainwashing.
9. [Chongqing City] Mr. Yuan Qingsheng Is Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison
Practitioner Mr. Yuan Qingsheng from the Chang'an District in Chongqing City has been very solid in his practice since he was arrested in the Fuling Region. His family said he often shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" The guards are all scared of him and will not allow his family to visit him. He has been sentenced to seven years in prison, but Mr. Yuan never signed his name on any document and is appealing his case.
10. [Rushan City, Shandong Province] English Teacher Mr. Gong Zhaoyang Is Locked in Wangcun Labor Camp
Practitioner Mr. Gong Zhaoyang is an excellent English teacher, who is employed by a high school. He is very well respected by his colleagues and students. On March 16, 2005, Rushan City policemen arrested Mr. Gong and sentenced him to forced labor at the Wangcun Labor Camp. Police have also demanded 5,000 yuan from his family.
11. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Haihong Is Put on "Trial"
At 9 a.m. on March 10, 2005, the Dongchang District Court of Tonghua City, Jilin Province, put practitioner Ms. Li Haihong on trial. She had been previously detained for four months.
Around 8:30 a.m., more than ten family members and several practitioners gathered near the court house. Dozens of practitioners were sending forth righteous thoughts surrounding the court house from nearby locations. Dongchang District 610 Office workers Shi Fengfu (male) and Zhou Jiarui (male) were assigned by the District Political and Security Committee to guard the door and allow only three non-practitioner family members to be present. They did not allow her family members to touch Ms. Li, not even her 70-year-old mother, who wanted to touch her hands.
When the trial was in session, a judge read the fabricated crimes attributed to Ms. Li, asked one simple question, and then quickly ended the phony trial. The two agents sent by the 610 Office departed quickly.
While the Court was in recess, Ms. Li Haihong clarified the truth to the officials around her. At the same time, practitioners were sending forth righteous thoughts outside the Court. These actions greatly shocked the evil and manifested the strong power of Falun Dafa practitioners' one-body.
12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] At Least Three Practitioners Are Being Brainwashed in Jilin Prison
We have learned that practitioner Mr. Liu Jingxin has spent 36 days (from January 4-February 17, 2005, excepting the New Year's holidays) in forced brainwashing sessions in the First Ward of Jilin Prison. This included 12 days under strict monitoring while he was tortured and tied up on a bed. His left arm is badly injured from this torture, and his face is very pale. He is also very weak. Since February 15, 2005, at least three other practitioners have been subjected to the same brainwashing tortures as Mr. Liu. The torture has yet to make him give up his faith in Falun Dafa.
13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Are Being Tortured in Harbin Women's Prison
From December 12 to 31, 2004, practitioners detained in Harbin Women's Prison were tortured for refusing to wear prisoners' uniforms. Guards hung the practitioners up, allowing only the practitioners' toes to touch the floor. The hands of the tortured practitioners turned purple within 30 minutes. The skin on their wrists skin peeled off, and their hands were swollen. Practitioners passed out due to the extreme pain. The guards prepared injections and then stabbed practitioners' Renzhong point (directly under the nose) to wake them up or inject drugs. Guards also cuffed practitioners' hands and then hung them up by the cuffs on the bunk beds. They also tortured them by depriving them of sleep. Guards also gagged practitioners by stuffing material into their mouths. If a practitioner went on a hunger strike, she would be tortured with force-feeding. Guards also tortured them by forcing them to sit on a small stool for a long time. Any practitioner whose term was about to end would be tortured individually.
There is a newly established brainwashing base, where practitioners are being tortured even worse than at other sites. This information was kept very secret until now.
14. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Are Being Cruelly Tortured in Feicheng Detention Center
On January 5, 2005, practitioners Ms. Zhang Fuxin, her son Hou Jinming, and Mr. Xu Xinglu from the Daiyue District of Tai'an City, Shandong Province, were arrested by Feicheng City State Security Agents while passing out truth-clarifying materials in Liulin Village, Bianjiayuan Town, Feicheng City. They have been detained in the Feicheng City Detention Center. Policemen later ransacked their homes, removing all Falun Dafa material and related equipment.
Inside the Feicheng Detention Center, these three practitioners endured inhuman tortures. Guards stripped them of their clothes, poured icy water onto their heads in the freezing cold of winter, and forced their heads into the cold basin of water. Guards also burned their backs with a red-hot fire hook. Their visiting family members were moved to tears when they saw how their relatives were being tortured. Mr. Hou Jinming, not yet 18, is disabled. They all have been detained more than 60 days.
15. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tang Jizhen on a Hunger for Strike Six Days
On March 10, 2005, police confined practitioner Ms. Tang Jizhen from Zhuyang Town in the Daiyue District of Tai'an City to her home and tried to force her to give them Falun Dafa materials, but she refused. They immediately wrote their own search warrant, ransacked her home, and took away all her electronic equipment and printing materials. Ms. Tang Jizhen has been on hunger strike for six days inside the Tai'an City Detention Center.
16. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Guards in Jiamusi Labor Camp Brutally Beat Many Women Practitioners
On March 2, 2005, after 9 a.m., another violent incident occurred in the Women's Ward of the Jiamusi Labor Camp. In order to force practitioners to sign "Brainwashing Agreements," The ward head Yu Wenbin (female) announced that everyone had to sign. The division head Wang Xin (female) lead four male guards with electric batons to beat any practitioners who refused to sign their names or allow their fingerprints to be taken. Ms. Zhuang Shuqing, Ms. Wang He, Ms. Sun Xuelian, Ms. Wang Xiuyun, and Ms. Ma Xiaohua, and others have all been beaten and badly injured.
17. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Sentenced to Forced Labor Because He Wrote Couplet in Praise of Falun Dafa
Practitioner Mr. Sheng Yongqing from Fushui Town, Anlu City, has been arrested, sentenced to forced labor, and is serving his term in the Shayang Labor Camp for writing a couplet in praise of Falun Dafa.
Practitioner Ms. Pan Juying has been arrested for producing truth-clarifying materials. No one knows where she is now.
18. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Hongjun's Life in Danger Due to Torture in Jinan City's First Prison
Mr. Liu Hongjun is 47 years old and lives in Chengli Village, Shouguang City, Shandong Province. He was sentenced to fourteen years in prison two years ago for firmly believing in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." He is still jailed in Jinan City's First Prison.
We have learned that at one time a doctor diagnosed that his life was "endangered" in the prison. He used to be a very healthy person without any sicknesses. He was sent back to Shouguang City, but the Shouguang City 610 System rejected him. Because his life was considered endangered, he stayed in the Shouguang City Government Motel one night wearing handcuffs and ankle shackles. He was sent back to the prison the next day.
19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wei Wenjie Is Arrested For Clarifying the Truth to Young Children
Ms. Wei Wenjie lives in Tuanshanbao in the Tiebei District of Changchun City. She works as a day care center teacher. On March 9 or 10, 2005, two police vehicles sent by the Yangjiaweizi Substation showed up with policeman Fu Daijie (male) to ransack her home, because she gave her day care children cards with "Falun Dafa is Good" written on them and clarified the truth to the children. The police took away her personal phone book the next day.
Ms. Wei is now detained in Changchun City's Third Detention Center.
(1) Small cell - The detainee is locked into a very small cell in isolation. The guards handcuff practitioners on their backs in a fixed position, which does not permit them room to move or to lie down. The small cell is very damp and dark. Detainees have to relieve themselves in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is provided during the daytime. The stench in the small cell is so bad that it is difficult to breathe. Facts of the Persecution
1. Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Shen Manliang Arrested
Mr. Shen Manliang from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province has been listed on the Police Wanted List. He had been followed many times but he often escaped with strong righteous thoughts. On the 2000 Chinese New Year, Mr. Shen was arrested by officers at Hedong Substation where he was cruelly tortured. In the afternoon of April 1, 2005, Mr. Shen was abducted by authorities on the road. It is unknown where he is detained. Mr. Shen's wife is also a Falun Dafa practitioner, she went on a hunger strike during her forced labor term in Shijiazhuang Labor Camp. Mr. Shen and his wife had become destitute and homeless at the end of 2001 in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home. Their teenage son is living with his wife's parents.

2. Persecution Facts on Mr. Wang Shuzai and His Wife Zheng Yongxiu from Tangshan City, Hebei Province
Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Wang Shuzai and his wife Zheng Yongxiu lived in Shijiang Village, Tanghai County Eighth Farm, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. They were both arrested and detained for three days by the local police on July 20, 1999. On September 18, 1999, Mr. Wang Shuzai and his wife went to Beijing to appeal again. Both were detained and each had 2,000 yuan extorted from them. In July 2001, Mr. Wang Shuzai was arrested and detained. He went on a hunger strike for three days and was sent to Tangshan City Ankang Hospital (a police hospital) where he was force-fed with drugs. Mr. Wang was beaten and cursed by drug addict prisoners inside the hospital. He was threatened and sent back to the detention center after seven days. Immediately after the detention, he was transferred to Tanghai County Brainwashing Center. Mr. Wang's wife Zheng Yongxiu was fired by her employer, the Xingda Paper Mill in 2001 without any justifiable reason.
On July 19, 2002, Mr. Wang Shuzai was arrested again by the police. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor on September 23, 2002. In December 2002 when he was in the labor camp, he was violently forced to undergo brainwashing. He was first forced to stand three days, 14 hours each day. On the fourth day, he was tortured with "Tying Up" (1) four times. In July 2003, Mr. Wang was tortured by being forced to sit on a small stool for one month, 14 hours per day. The prison guards forced him to watch programs slandering Falun Dafa until his eye site were severely damaged. The doctors diagnosed his eye nerves with atrophy. His legs went numb which affected his walking. He was finally allowed to be bailed out on medical parole.

3. Persecution Facts in Cangxi County, Sichuan Province
Since July 2004, twenty three Falun Dafa practitioners in Cangxi County, Sichuan Province have been abducted for brainwashing at the Guangyuan Science and Technology School. Each practitioner was forced to pay a fee of 5,000-8,000 yuan. The prison guards tortured Falun Dafa practitioners and deprived their rights to sleep for several days to mentally torture them. Falun Dafa practitioners who were not abducted to the brainwashing center were also harassed and threatened. Their homes were ransacked by the State Security Agents who extorted 3,000-10,000 yuan from practitioners and forced them to write Guarantee Statements. Otherwise, the agents threatened to sent practitioners to the brainwashing center. In the past five years of persecution, more than sixty practitioners have been detained, and/or sentenced to forced labor or prison. (1) Tying Up - The police tie up the practitioner with a thin rope, circle the rope around his neck, and tie his hands behind his back. Then, the police would use all the force they could muster to tighten the rope. The rope becomes tighter and tighter around the body of the practitioner, and makes it more and more difficult for him to breathe. The pain is so intense that the practitioner sometimes loses control of his bladder. There are instances when the rope was tightened enough to break a practitioner's arm.
