Clarifying the Truth Solidly

(Clearwisdom.net) Teacher told us early on:

"Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy-this is establishing the mighty virtue of an Enlightened Being." (From "Rationality")

During the course of cultivation, however, our attachments are often reflected, and sometimes we fail to recognize them in time. The consequence is that the results of clarifying the truth usually do not match our expectations. The painful lessons are unforgettable.

1. An Irritated Mind and Impatience

We are cultivators and Fa-rectification disciples. We should think about how to choose the most appropriate method to save sentient beings. With a hasty and irritated mind, some fellow practitioners are not willing to make long-term plans to solidly clarify the truth.

2. Being Calm and Compassionate when Clarifying the Truth

Teacher said in "Clear-headedness":

"While working, your tone of voice, your kindheartedness, and your reasoning can change a person's heart, whereas commands never could!" (Essentials for Further Advancement)

One day, I clarified the truth to a woman from a rural area who had arrived at the city to work. It was easy for me to talk directly on the issue because I was in charge of real estate management, and she worked in the field of maintenance and repair. I explained to her why the Tiananmen self-immolation incident was fabricated. I also told her how much I changed mentally and physically after practicing Falun Gong, and how this brought peace and joy to my family. She was touched and said, "In our hometown, there are also some people practicing Falun Gong, but I could not accept what they told me, that one who does not believe that Falun Dafa is good will meet with karmic retribution. They would also get impatient, rude and unfriendly. So when they told me that in a rude tone, I replied, 'Fine then, let the retribution come.'"

Fellow practitioners, we cultivate according to the great principles of the universe: "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance". We should treat people with sincerity, kindness, compassion, and tolerance. What were you doing? Were you trying to save people by casting out a few simple words, acting like everyday people, and becoming irritated and impatient?

3. With Human Attachments to Validating the Fa, We Will Do a Poor Job and Make Serious Mistakes

We are Dafa disciples who are helping Teacher to validate the Fa in the world, so we should let go of our attachments. We cultivate in human society and many attachments will show, but we should measure our every word and deed according to the standards of the Fa. If we discover that our words and deeds fail to meet the standards, then we should correct them immediately and assimilate to the Fa, so we can continously cultivate under the guidance of Dafa.

In reality, however, our actions often deviate from the Fa. For practitioners who produce truth-clarifying materials, we do not give enough support and encouragement to both their work and cultivation. Some coordinators do not have time to study the Fa, and they clarify the truth with human notions. The old forces can easily take advantage of loopholes and persecute practitioners. As the problems continue to mount, disaster is often the outcome.

Dafa practitioners have validated the Fa for more than five years. Under the merciful protection of our Teacher, we should be more clear-headed, rational, and wise. We should clarify the truth solidly and methodically, without going to extremes.
