from Falun Dafa practitioners, and also offended many of the villagers. One day,
someone set ablaze his stack of firewood. A practitioner had a stack of firewood
right next to his, which also caught fire. Instead of trying to save his own
firewood first, the practitioner helped the village head put out the fire on his
stack of firewood. Other Dafa practitioners also came to help him put out the
fire, and didn't attend to the Dafa practitioners wood until the fire on the
village head's stack was out. After the incident, the village head was very
moved, and asked, "I have fined you so much money. Don't you hate me? And
then you helped me to put out fire?" The practitioners replied, "Our Teacher told us absolutely not to hate
others, and that we must consider other people first." The village head sighed and said, "Falun Gong practitioners are all good
people!" After that he changed his attitude. When officers from the police station
were coming to ransack practitioners' homes, he announced with megaphone,
"Attention Falun Gong practitioners! The authorities are coming to search.
Pack up your books and Falun Gong newspapers." When they came to search, he
led the way, so they never found anything. People Ask a Practitioner to Paint Dafa Posters Painting Dafa messages and spreading the truth creates a good atmosphere. The
practitioners in our area often paint truth clarification messages
and go out every day to clarify the truth. The effect has been excellent. People who understand the truth in our village all hope that practitioners
will put up Falun Dafa messages on their walls and in the courtyards. One day, a villager grabbed a Dafa practitioner, and asked, "Why do you
only do this at his home and not mine?" The practitioner said, "Ok,
I'll paint something for yours now." Hence, "Falun Dafa is good"
was put up on his wall. He was very satisfied and appreciative. Another time, a Dafa practitioner put up the words, "Eradicate the
evil" on a villager's wall. The villager asked, "Other people's homes
all have 'Falun Dafa is good', 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good',
why do I have 'Eradicate the evil'?" The practitioner explained,
"Having these words, the evil and wicked things won't dare to come, and it
will protect the safety of your entire family." The villager was quite
pleased with this answer. In the village, especially in the households of those who raise cows and
chickens, everyone hopes that practitioners will post truth clarification
messages on their homes. When the authorities sent workers to remove the
messages, villagers stepped out to stop them, saying, "This is my wall! How
dare you remove this from my wall? What does it have to do with you? I begged
people to write this for me!" Therefore, as soon as you walk into our city,
you can see telephone poles on both sides of the road, trees, and villagers'
walls, gates, streets and lanes full of Falun Dafa messages, stickers and
banners. A Police Officer Who Understands the Truth On February 28, 2004, the Mayor held a secret meeting with police officers.
The attendees all handed in their cells phones, and together they raided the
homes of Dafa practitioners in the city at 8:30 p.m. A police officer that
understood the truth notified practitioners beforehand. Dafa practitioners
immediately took action to minimize the damage, causing the evil plot to fail,
and people with predestined relationships repositioned themselves in Dafa. It's
just as Teacher told us, "And judging by the way things look in the human world, they have
lessened the evil's persecution, as well as freed sentient beings and the
people of the world from the control of the evil beings in other dimensions
and from the factors that interfere with Dafa. People are starting to take
clear note of and think about the persecution of Dafa disciples and the
world's people. And this has started to make the wicked people in this world
who've had a hand in persecuting Dafa disciples tremble with fear, and now
they keep their evil nature nearly at bay; some evildoers have even stopped
persecuting Dafa disciples. All of this has made for a much improved
situation." ("My Version of a "Stick Wake-up") Righteous Field Dafa practitioners in our city expand and rise up as one body to form a
righteous field, so former practitioners who've gone astray in their cultivation
due to their fear and attachments have no audience here. During the evil
persecution, some Dafa practitioners were forcibly transformed. After they came
back, because of Teacher's enormous compassion and with the help of fellow
practitioners, they quickly awakened and joined the immense force of Fa-rectification.
Only four to five people remain who haven't yet become clear-headed, but they
have no audience among Dafa practitioners. When people who went astray in their
cultivation came from other areas, they were either awakened by local
practitioners, or they left quickly. This is also a key characteristic of
practitioners in our city. "Now that evil has been cleaned out and our surroundings are getting
ever more relaxed and easy. In many areas the evil flees at the sight of Dafa
disciples. It doesn't dare in the least to visit those areas, for the Dafa
disciples there have done well." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2004
International Fa Conference in New York") 6. Find Shortcomings and Advance Again One poem from Teacher's Hong Yin II: Be Rational, Awaken Rest momentarily for self-reflection, (provisional translation) September 4, 2003 While Clarifying the Truth and Saving Sentient Beings, Cultivate Ourselves
Well, Cooperate With Each Other, and Advance Together "For Dafa disciples as a whole, in the process of validating the Fa,
when you work together in concert, the Fa power is great. Whether you're doing
things as a group or doing things individually, what you're doing is the same
kind of thing, and that's what we mean by one entity. You're all clarifying the
truth, sending righteous thoughts, and studying the Fa, so the specifics of the
things you're doing are different but the division of roles is orderly, together
there's a form, and separated there are particles. When you as an entity have
some problems come up Master will definitely talk about them, and when there's
not an obvious problem Master won't say anything. So when it doesn't affect the
situation of the whole entity I don't say anything." Facing high pressure and evil, Dafa practitioners can form one body, solid
like diamond. However, while improving xinxing and advancing together,
practitioners sometimes can't achieve mutual understanding, which manifests as
holding on to personal opinions and having conflicts. Sometimes the conflicts
between practitioners are so intense that they delay Fa-rectification work.
Practitioners should place Dafa first, abandon selfishness, and validate Dafa,
not oneself. When searching for the cause of conflicts, identifying only the
surface causes is not correct. Teacher said in "A
Dialogue with Time": "Master: There are also such people among veteran disciples. And the
most outstanding evidence of that is that they always compare themselves with
humans and with their own past, but fail to examine themselves with the
requirements of the Fa at different levels. "Divine Being: These problems have already become very serious. It
would be good if they could manage to search within themselves for the things
that they have been able to find in others." Teacher said: "In your cultivation you can't always look at others. You need to look
at yourselves, and cultivate yourselves. When there's a problem, examine
yourself and try to find the problem on your part. When you see that something
is lacking, figure out how you can do each thing well, keep your
thinking right along the way, and manifest the righteous thoughts and
righteous actions of a Dafa disciple when faced with challenges--now that
is extraordinary. And as a Dafa disciple, that is your validating the
Fa with righteous thoughts, and only then are you truly worthy of being a Dafa
disciple." We can only melt into the Fa and form one body, which is
solid like diamond, when we improve in the Fa, abandon our selfishness, and free
ourselves from the mentality of performing jobs. During more than five years of validating the Fa, practitioners in our city
have experienced many tests, firmly cultivated Dafa and followed Teacher, and
closely following the process of Fa-rectification. But we are still far from the
requirements of Fa-rectification, and Teacher's requirements. Teacher told us
through the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) that Dafa
material productions sites must spread everywhere. At the moment, our city
doesn't have Dafa material production sites everywhere, our production sites are
still centralized, and practitioners who work at the sites shoulder heavy
burdens. The material production sites are not everywhere yet, because the
village area in our city is sprawling, and we have financial and technical
limitations. In areas with better conditions in the city, we are actively
working on it, using the big material production site as the hub, and leading
other smaller sites to work together in unison so that all of our fellow
practitioners everywhere in the city can obtain Teacher's new articles and the
latest truth clarification materials to save sentient beings quickly. Rescue Fellow Practitioners and Save Sentient Beings in Denying the
Persecution "...have persecuted to death or severely injured numerous Dafa
disciples who were or are on the path to godhood and who had been chosen ages
and ages ago. Tens of millions of people have been persecuted through a
variety of means, and the righteous faith of 100 million people has been
suppressed. This enormous sin of the ages, this enormous sin whereby the
[perpetrators] are brimming with evil and guilty of countless crimes
throughout the firmament, has enraged all of the gods in the colossal
firmament! Now even the elements of the old forces that had controlled and
manipulated it are hurriedly dissolving it and its evil spirit. ("Turning
the Wheel Towards the Human World") During this time of Fa-rectification, the practitioners of our city have been
assisting Teacher in the human world. More than 3700 practitioners have stepped
forward. However, the persecution we encounter is severe. In this small city
more than 20 practitioners were killed in the persecution. The ratio is
relatively high compared with the rest of the province and China as a whole. We
haven't done enough in rescuing fellow practitioners in our area, and we are
making up for this shortcoming. We study the Fa earnestly, and having read the "Nine Commentaries on the
Communist Party," we clearly recognize the evil essence of the Communist
Party, and we are better able to clarify the truth to people in depth, so that
the party members, cadres, military officers and soldiers can be freed from the
poison of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) culture, and position themselves
well. While rescuing fellow practitioners, we should eliminate the wicked factors
that are controlled by the evil Communist spirit in the people from the public
security departments, judicial system, and all those who persecute Dafa
practitioners. We must nurture their righteous thoughts, and teach them how to
properly treat Dafa and Dafa practitioners so they can avoid being eliminated.
In the process of rescuing practitioners, we should encourage the family members
of practitioners who are suffering persecution to step out, and save their
relatives in a open and honorable way. Falun Dafa practitioners must cooperate as one body, expose the evil, send
forth righteous thoughts, and utilize all methods to rescue fellow
practitioners, so they can walk out of prisons, stand up from sickness, break
through all sorts of tribulations, and let sentient beings become truly free
from the CCP culture, and thus complete our prehistoric vows. Finally, let's encourage ourselves with Teacher's words: "The path that Master tells you to take is sure to be righteous. I
hope you will complete--soberly, rationally, and with righteous thoughts--your
journey to Consummation." ("New Year's Greetings")
