Nine People Who Gave Up Cultivation Due to Persecution Died from Diseases

(Clearwisdom.net) In Mainland China, many people had their diseases cured when they started practicing Falun Gong. However, after Jiang's regime started the persecution, some people gave up their practice under pressure and subsequently died from the return of their old diseases. Jiang's regime directly caused these tragedies.

Ms. Zhu Shuqing was seventy years old. She was a middle school teacher in Beijing. She started to practice Falun Dafa in 1994 and she suffered persecution and torture after the persecution began in 1999. After being forced to write a guarantee statement not to practice Falun Gong, she was mentally devastated. This triggered the development of a brain tumor. She passed away in 2002.

Ms. Lou Lixun was sixty-six years old. She was from Zhaozhou County, Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province. Through practicing Falun Gong, all of her diseases including a blood clot in her brain were cured. After the persecution, her daughter and husband were put into prison for speaking out on behalf of Falun Dafa. The police constantly went to her house to threaten, monitor and harass her. She was forced to write a guarantee statement not to practice Falun Gong. Later her diseases recurred and caused dementia. She died on January 7, 2001.

Ms. Zhang Fuxiu was sixty-eight years old. She was a retired worker at the Fifth Cotton Factory in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. She used to suffer from many kinds of diseases with serious problems in her heart and brain. After practicing Falun Gong, her health improved dramatically. When the persecution started, people from the local security office, the business office and the community office constantly attempted to brainwash her. They gave her a book about curing diseases and made her believe that only medicine could cure her diseases. Since then, she stopped practicing Falun Gong. Afterwards she was repeatedly hospitalized. She died suddenly in the fall of 2004 due to a blood clot in her brain.

Ms. Shen Shulan was fifty years old. She was from Yushu City, Jilin Province. After practicing Falun Gong, her breast cancer was cured. After July 20, 1999, influenced by the false propaganda, she stopped practicing and burned all her Dafa books. Her illness recurred and she died within one month. Mr. Xu Baolin was sixty-two years old. He was a retired worker form the Panjin City Municipal Administration Company of Liaoning Province. After he started practicing Falun Gong in January of 1997, he benefited both mentally and physically. His diseases such as throat problems, liver disease and skin problems were cured. In mid December of 2000, he was sentenced to two years in a labor camp for appealing in Beijing for the right to practice Falun Gong. Yu Fuxian withheld his three children's wages for three months under the excuse of "knowingly hiding information." Mr. Xu's wages were also withheld. The total amount withheld from his family reached 20,000 yuan. Because he was brutally tortured and brainwashed, he wrote a guarantee statement not to practice Falun Gong. Under the long-term harassment, threatening and physical torture, he did not study the Fa or practice the exercises. Later he suffered a stroke. He passed away on August 12, 2003.

Mr. Yan Yuewen was sixty-one years old. He was from Yushu City, Jilin Province. He used to suffer jaw cancer and all medical treatment failed to cure him. In 1996, he started to practice Falun Dafa and his disease was cured in half a year. He could then return to his farming work. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, policemen from the Zhengyang security office constantly harassed him on the sensitive dates. Due to the attachment of fear, he did not study the Fa or practice the exercises. He passed away on May 23, 2004, when his disease recurred.

Ms. Guo Fengqin was fifty-one years old. She was from Yushu City, Jilin Province. She started to practice Falun Dafa in 1998. All of her diseases disappeared within one month. After the persecution started, she did not study the Fa or practice the exercises. She passed away in February of 2002 when the diseases she previously had recurred.

Mr. Sun Dazhuai was forty-one years old. He was from Xin Village, Chenshi Town, Shenzhou City, Hebei Province. He started to practice Falun Dafa in 1998. In 1999, he twice went to appeal in Beijing. Both times he was tortured in the city detention center. Later people from the 610 Office and Chenshi security office repeatedly forced him to pay fines and harassed him. Under this tremendous pressure, he suffered from a liver disease and passed away in 2003.

Ms. Hou Guilan was nearly seventy years old. She was from Chengde Village, Fulu Township, Bamiantong Town, Mulin City in Heilongjiang Province. In January of 2000, after the local police escalated the persecution, she gave up the practice. She became very depressed and passed away from disease.
