More Details of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Gu Xiuhua's Death Due to Persecution in Harbin City

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gu Xiuhua, 40, was a Dafa practitioner from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. She started practicing Falun Dafa in 1994. On April 25, 1999, Ms. Gu went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and on July 20, 1999 she went to the provincial government to appeal for help from the authorities, clarifying the truth and calling for an end to the harassment and persecution. In 2000, Ms. Gu again went to Beijing to appeal. She was escorted back to her home town by the local police, and was illegally imprisoned for two months. Because she did not give up practicing Falun Dafa, Gu Xiuhua was imprisoned in a brainwashing class where she was brutally persecuted.

During the period of illegal imprisonment, Ms Gu's body and mind were seriously injured due to torture and abuse. Sometimes, she was not able to eat, drink water, or sleep for more than ten days at a time. Her abdomen was often in pain, but she persisted in her righteous belief and righteous thoughts towards Dafa. After leaving prison, because she persisted in cultivation practice, the local police intensified their persecution against her. They confiscated her family's property and extorted money from them. Ms Gu was forced to move, as the local officials forced her out of the area. Her family was extorted for money on four different occasions, for amounts totaling 25,000 yuan.

Ms Gu persisted in cultivation practice and did not write the three statements. Because of this, in 2001 she was forced to become homeless in order to avoid being persecuted and arrested from home. Her abdominal pain frequently resurfaced. The last we knew, she could not eat or drink water for a month, and on November 27, 2004, Ms. Gu Xiuhua passed away. She is survived by her 15-year-old daughter.
