A Neighborhood Committee Director in Jilin Province said, "The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) knows that everybody detests the Party, but it doesn't care. It still follows its own will and doesn't care what members of society say. For example, when we assign work, we prepare the reports about the assignments in advance. We have standard answers for questions about each type of work, but all of the answers are lies."

When talking about Falun Gong, he said, "I didn't report anyone in my area. They are all good people. I want no part of such wicked acts. The "self-immolation" was faked. However, I didn't show the truth-clarifying VCD about the phony incident to the community after I watched it. I was intimidated. In Tiananmen Square I saw plain-clothes police with white bags in their pockets. Whenever they didn't like somebody, they would cover the person's head with a white bag and abduct the person, just like gang members. They also searched visitors' belongings.

Because he had been deceived by the propaganda, a guard from the Fushun City Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province often beat practitioners who were illegally detained there. Starting when the persecution began in July 1999, practitioners continuously explained the truth to him, and he gradually changed his attitude towards Falun Dafa. Recently, the guard met a practitioner who further clarified the truth to him, and he silently listened. Before leaving, the practitioner asked him to please treat the practitioners in the camp with kindness. He answered, "I know, treating them well is equal to treating myself well."

With the progress of Fa-rectification, many people in the countryside have begun to practice Falun Dafa. In some areas, Zhuan Falun is in short supply. Liu and Feng, a young couple in Shenzhen City, began Falun Dafa practice just one month ago and commenced copying the book by hand. They read their hand-written copies and make more for new practitioners. Their benevolent actions inspired other new practitioners, and some also began to copy Zhuan Falun. This helped solve the shortage of Falun Dafa books in the region.
