Teacher said,

"This is especially so for the Dafa disciples in Mainland China: each must come out and clarify the truth, bringing it to every field and valley, mountain and hill, not omitting a single area where there are people."

The Chinese New Year is a traditional festival of the Chinese nation. Falun Dafa disciples in our local district seized this opportunity by going door-to-door delivering New Year couplets and the Chinese character "Fu." [Chinese people have the custom to display the New Year couplets and the Chinese character "Fu", which means "blessings," on their doors on the New Year.] At the same time, they distributed truth clarification VCD's. We clarified the facts to the people we met and told them about the beauty and truth of Dafa.

We did it with a heart to clarify the facts, validate the Fa, and save sentient beings. We coordinated well as one body. There are over twenty villages in our area. Once we finished delivery in the villages where practitioners live, we would go to villages with no practitioners.

During the delivery process, some people accepted the materials, and some people who initially refused the materials accepted them after we clarified the facts. For people who persistently refused to accept the materials, we also told them the facts. We told them that Falun Dafa has been spread to more than sixty countries around the world, and is greatly appreciated by the world's people. We also explained to them the truth about the self-immolation incident. We told them that Jiang Zemin and his henchmen have been sued for genocide, torture and crimes against humanity in international courts; that no persecutor of righteous faith has ever had a good ending; and that good is rewarded with good, evil met with karmic retribution, and so on.

When we first walked up to one house, an elderly man asked our intention. We said we came to deliver New Year couplets and the character "Fu". He said, "My wife and I don't need the couplets." We told him we are Falun Gong practitioners and the couplets and lucky characters were for free. The man said, "There is no such thing as free. I am over seventy years old and have never experienced anything like this." My fellow practitioners started telling the man the truth about Dafa. The man's wife was lying in bed, and their granddaughters and grandson were hanging wallpaper. I began sending forth righteous thoughts, and showed them the New Year couplets and the character "Fu." I said to the two granddaughters, "Why don't you hang these up? They will bring you true blessings. Treasuring Dafa will bring you true blessings." The other practitioner told them that reading aloud "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance is good" with a sincere heart will bring happiness and prosperity to their life.

Before we left, the elderly man said to my fellow practitioner, "Dafa is good. Thank you. You cultivators are good people. You need to tell others the truth and let the truth sink in to their heads." Isn't this Teacher giving us a hint through this man's words? Teacher said,

"Gods are merciful and have the greatest capacity to forgive, and they are truly responsible to beings, instead of focusing on a person's actions at a given time. That's because gods awaken a being at a fundamental level, and enliven a being's Buddha-nature at a fundamental level. So looking at things from this perspective, you still need to step up your clarifying the facts some, and still need to do it in greater depth, do it better, and do it more solidly; you absolutely can't just go through the motions. Only when you do it earnestly can you save that many people."

When we clarify the truth, we need to let them know that we are really doing it for their benefit and that we are being responsible for their lives. Two female practitioners visited a family and told them that they were Falun Gong practitioners delivering New Year couplets and the character "Fu", and that the materials were for free. One man said, "You still dare to say aloud the word 'Falun Gong'? Do you guys know what I do? I am a police officer." The two practitioners replied while sending forth righteous thoughts, "We cultivate with the guidance of 'Truthfulness - Compassion - Forbearance.' Falun Gong healed our bodies and teaches us to be good people. It only brings benefits to our country. Freedom of belief is our citizen's right given by the constitution. The practice benefited us physically and spiritually, so we are bringing the beauty and the truth of Dafa to you. We are doing it for your good. We are doing a good deed. Don't you police only chase bad people?"

The police smiled and said, "I know that Dafa is good. I will keep the couplets and the character 'Fu'. Thank you."

In villages where there were no practitioners before, now there are people who want to learn the exercises and study the Fa. Our delivery of couplets and characters gave them the opportunity to obtain the Fa. We know very well that Dafa disciples are bestowed with heavy responsibilities and we truly need to take up these responsibilities. Teacher said,

"Dafa disciples, don't forsake the magnificent responsibility that has been bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification, and even less should you disappoint those beings, as you are now their only hope for entering the future. For this reason, all Dafa disciples, students both new and veteran, should get to work and begin comprehensively clarifying the truth." ("Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People")
