Since the persecution of Falun Dafa started on July 20, 1999, 610 Office personnel and police in Luchuan County, Guangxi Province, have been persecuting local practitioners with surveillance, arrests, home searches, detention, violence to collect evidence, beatings, brainwashing, fines, confinement in forced labor camps, and imprisonment. In the Luchuan County area, practitioners have been kidnapped or detained 106 times in the past five years and their homes have been searched more than 100 times. Practitioners have been sent to forced labor camps twenty times, three were sentenced, four were killed, and one was persecuted to disability. In addition, the local police have extorted uncountable amounts of money from practitioners and their families.

The following are cases of elderly practitioners who died as a result of the persecution.

Ms. Lu Guiduan, 53, from Hengshan Township, Luchuan County, suffered from high blood pressure for years, but her blood pressure became normal after practicing Falun Gong, and she regained her health. She was kept in a detention center and her disease recurred because of the imprisonment and mental pressure from the police. After being detained in the center for a month, she was sent to a brainwashing center for another month. Lu Guiduan died some time after she was released.

Ms. Chen Yongfang, 64, was retiree of Mapo Farm, Luchuan County. She had had multiple diseases and poor health before practicing Falun Gong. After practicing Falun Gong her diseases disappeared and she became healthy. Ms. Chen Yongfang was kidnapped in February 2001 and sent to the county detention center for a month. She was then kept in a brainwashing center for another month. Because of the brutal conditions in the detention center and the mental strain, her diseases recurred and she died soon after she was released.

Ms. Zhou Erpo, about 80 years old, had suffered from high blood pressure, heart disease, spinal problems, bleeding of her eye and partial blindness. After practicing Falun Gong, all of these illnesses disappeared, and she enjoyed good physical and mental health. She was no longer able practice and study the Fa in groups because of the persecution. She eventually died of mental suffering and depression.

Mr. She Huaiyan, 75, was a retired teacher of Luchuan High School. He was paralyzed and deaf as a result of a stroke and was unable to take care of himself. He was very depressed and had lost the will to live. His mental health became better after obtaining the Fa. The police arrested his wife, also a practitioner and the only person taking care of him, in November 2004. The police broke into his home when he was alone, searched his home, and took away his only Dafa book, Zhuan Falun. His children did not live with him and nobody took care of him after his wife was imprisoned. He died of starvation about ten days later.

The following is the case of a practitioner disabled due to persecution.

Mr. Wang Chun, 28, is from Hengshan Township, Luchuan County. He was arrested when he went to appeal in Beijing in April 2000 and sent back to the county detention center. He was determined in his belief of Dafa and went on a hunger strike to protest his treatment. The police broke his two front teeth when force-feeding him. He went out to distribute truth clarification materials in Guangdong in October 2001. The police chased him, and he jumped out of a building trying to escape. He broke his leg and jawbone. Once a healthy young man, he is now disabled.

Persons responsible for persecuting practitioners in Luchuan County:

Qiu Shuhua, male, about 40 years old, is the vice chief of the Luchuan County police. He is the main person responsible for persecuting practitioners. He has organized and arranged the arrest of practitioners and oftentimes takes part in the arrest and questioning. His phone number is 0775­7339568, and his cell phone is 13807752251.

He Leiguang, male, about 40 years old, was a department head in Luchuan County. He is head of the Security Division of the Luchuan County police and also one of the main people who persecute practitioners. He has fabricated materials about arrested practitioners that was used to frame and persecute them. His phone number is 0775­7332554, and his cell phone is 13517552089.

Liu Guichu, male, about 40 years old, is the key staff member of the Luchuan 610 Office. He uses a lot of tricks to persecute practitioners. His 610 Office phone number is 0775­7222000.

He Haiguang, male, about 48 years old, is the chief of the Luchuan Police. His phone number is 0775­7318328, and his cell phone is 13597192888.
