By a Dafa practitioner from Guangdong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 23, 2004, with righteous thoughts, righteous actions, and the help of fellow practitioners I returned home after being released from prison. However, the evil perpetrators began another round of persecution against me. Leaders from my workplace made a deal with the head of the local 610 Office. They illegally canceled my "Work Contract" with my employer, and reported this to the labor department.

Back home, I thought that practitioners should cultivate openly and nobly. I did not break any law. I should not acknowledge any unreasonable decisions made by them. So, I went to see the manager of my workplace and asked to have my job back. The manager said, "You were sentenced to forced labor and are now serving your sentence outside of the labor camp. Your term is not over yet. You can't come back to work." I said, "I didn't break the law. It was Jiang Zemin and his followers that broke the law. Falun Gong practitioners are experiencing unfair treatment." The manager didn't change their decision for various reasons at the time. I remember Teacher once said,

"A Dafa disciple completely opposes everything arranged by the evil old forces. Clarify the truth thoroughly, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, save all beings, and safeguard the Fa with determination." ("Dafa is Indestructible," from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

"when it comes to a lot of the specific things you come across, you need to carefully think them over for yourself, and it's up to you yourself to come up with a way to resolve them. Wherever there's a problem, that is where you need to clarify the truth and save people. Don't take a detour when you run into difficulties." ("Teaching the Fa at Washington, D.C. Fa Conference")

Then, I decided to go to work. The manager saw me and said, "You don't need to come. There is no place for you here. You should go home." I didn't take any notice of him. I stayed, recited the Fa, and sent forth righteous thoughts. Thirty minutes passed, and when he saw I hadn't left he said, "You are disturbing others by sitting here. If you want to make trouble, I will call the police." I thought that practitioners were not concerned with loss and gain, and would not fight for self-interest with people. But, when facing the tribulation imposed on us by the old forces, Teacher doesn't acknowledge it, and we mustn't either.

After studying the Fa and sharing understanding with other practitioners, I found my gaps. I realized that I should clarify the truth to people working in various departments concerned and tell them about the unfair treatment I had experienced. I first went to the local "610 Office." Coincidentally, the manager of my workplace was there too. I said to a 610 officer, "My employer has unlawfully canceled my work contract. What do you say about that?" The 610 officer wanted to shirk off his responsibilities and he said, "Your employer has canceled your work contract because you were absent from work. It has nothing to do with Falun Gong." I said, "It is ridiculous for the company to claim my absence, because I had always been on time for work, except for the days when I was unlawfully detained by the 610 Office. Now I have lost my job. This is persecution against Dafa practitioners."

The manager of my workplace said, "Why don't you go home now and wait until all departments work this thing out. We will let you know the outcome later." I knew that they were making excuses to get off, so I said to them directly, "I didn't violate any work regulations. You are simply using your power to pressure me. I have made up my mind to go to work every day." The manager said, "That won't make any difference. The company will not pay you, nor will you enjoy any employee benefits." His response did not change my decision.

Next, I went to the Department of Labor Disputes. I was very clear that Dafa practitioners would not depend on any outside forces. In the process of appeal, wrong ideas sometimes crept into my mind: I felt disappointment, even self-pity. Whenever this happened, I reminded myself to keep going, using righteous thoughts to eliminate negative thoughts. I thought that I have the Fa guiding me, and I have nothing to fear. When I thought of Teacher's words, I was full of confidence, and believed that everything would have a benevolent solution in Dafa. I kept clarifying the truth to relevant people and departments, and fellow practitioners also supported me by sending forth righteous thoughts.

As time went by, the attitude of the manager of my workplace changed a little. He asked me to sign a "Work Contract Agreement" and said that I would be allowed to go to work once it was signed. I refused to sign, because I realized that if I signed it, it would be like making a compromise with the evil forces. I didn't sign, so the manager still wouldn't allow me to work. But I went to work on time every day.

After some discussion with practitioners, we realized that we should clarify the truth in a greater depth. So I wrote an "open letter," sharing all the beneficial experiences I had in cultivating Dafa. I sent the letter to the heads of all departments, and read it to co-workers. After the manager of my workplace heard of the open letter, he threatened me, "If you dare to spread Falun Gong material again, I will not let you off so easily." Several days later, a National Security officer came to me and asked who wrote the letter for me and where I had it printed. I said, "I wrote the letter, of course." He then threatened to report me to the labor camp.

A long time went by and the manager of my workplace still refused to allow me to return to work. I felt very upset and even wanted to give up. The idea of practicing Falun Gong at home and not going to work started to sound very appealing. But I realized that preventing me from going to work was the old forces' arrangement.

When the manager found out that I still refused to sign the "Work Contract Agreement," he tried another trick. He suggested that I hand in a work application, stating my family's financial difficulty, and once I have done that I would be allowed to work. The kind-hearted co-workers and my family members all urged me to write the application. Again, I felt enormous pressure. But I remembered Teacher's words. I, together with fellow practitioners, insisted on doing things according to the Fa to destroy the old forces' arrangements. Together, we went to the local Civil Complaint Office, the local court, the labor union, the Department of Labor Dispute, and various other places. We clarified the truth to people and discussed my job situation. Practitioners from overseas also called people in charge of this matter, which severely frightened those doing evil.

A few months passed and gradually, the manager of my workplace changed his attitude. Before the Chinese New Year, they paid my salary and benefits for the past few months. My co-workers' attitude towards me also changed, and they understood Dafa better than before. Teacher said,

"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts."

My experience has once again validated the power of Dafa. As long as Dafa practitioners believe in Teacher, believe in Dafa, and do the three things well, everything will be taken care of. The evil persecution will not work.
